It's not the protective glass, if you remove it the flare is the same. It's due to the inner lens shape, i guess it's shaped this way to maximize field of view and minimize the big sensor issues, but this brings the really ugly flare. This is the worst flare i ever had i any lens i owned. Anyway, the Action4 brings some benefits that make me tolerate the issue. I try not to shot directly on sun but you know, when you're on the trail you must get what it comes. Hope that next model will address the issue.
@@UmbertoUderzo Unfortunately, I couldn't accept these flares, I had several different cameras and this one looks disgusting, I returned to GOPRO and am waiting for Action 5.
@@Marek_Holland Yes they are ugly I agree. The best flares on an action camera i had with GoPro11, but not all copies. I had to return several copies before getting something really good. I should keep using GP11 but i must admit that colors are so damn good on Action4. Hoping for the Action5. Or the Ace Pro who knows, but i don't like it very much for several reasons and not so keen to fork money for it. Anyway, on overcast days the Action4 doesn't feature the flares and it's more useable.
@@UmbertoUderzo Action 4 nasty flares also in the street from the lamps in the evening :( I'm also considering Ace pro, but the minimal focus and lack of 10 bit discourage me a bit. I'm testing 3 GP11, all OK, flare is minimal.
@@UmbertoUderzo I'm angry that they ruined Action 4. I have Mini 4 Pro, Pocket 3, so I would also like an action camera with a similar color scheme, but unfortunately it doesn't work :(
Complimenti
Grazie Mauro!
Sempre belle le 52 gallerie
In tutte le stagioni!
ma niente drone?
Che giornata cavolo
ad agosto c’era “freddo” nelle gallerie
Non immagino adesso 🥶
Ciao Luca... Ultimamente sono demotivato ad usarlo. Magari mi passa e ricomincio, boh.
@@UmbertoUderzo comunque bellissimi video, come sempre!
@@nolukanoparty Grazie Luca!
0:34 - typical ugly flare Action 4. Have you tried to fix this somehow? Maybe another protective glass?
