Sometimes I find it so interesting to read the comments and see how many of you have poor takes. Just because Felix got angry a couple of times = mentally weak or “that’s the real him”. You guys have to relax. We do this everyday, we get frustrated, we want to perform at our best. It is frustrating when your opponent keeps you under pressure and you don’t know what to do. I have plenty of days like this. Just played a practice match, played unreal, lost 2x1. Just relax everyone and enjoy the content. Stop making assumptions about people you don’t know in real life hahah peace
Okay but who cares if he shows emotion/gets angry? Probably less than 1% of the commenters are at his level and have no idea what kinds of sacrifices it takes to get there. I'd get mad if I was that good too. People keep forgetting this is y'alls day job, everyone has bad days and gets mad at work too
Probably the point they are making if they are old tennis heads like me is that he plays without composure. Not just mentally, he needs be able to produce the same or better quality with less physical and mental strain or what he will find is that his tennis will not be sustainable over long matches or tournaments.
Its because in this post-modern era everyone has been permitted to become some instant psychologist 'guru' and feels the NEED to provide any comment or remark on something regardless of substance. There is nothing wrong with anyone becoming angry or not being angry. As long as no physical harm is done to the opponent or others around or any psychological warfare is conducted than no one has any business to be stating 'mentally weak'. Some players will be quiet and calm some emotional. Obviously no one needs to become like Sonego and do manufactured grunts or develop into lunatics like Moutet or Gaston however Felix just wants to improve and with so much invested in him(sponsors, parents, public expectations) and expected of him it only makes sense for him to expect nothing but the best.
God loves you, seek him and if you want forgiven of your sins and want to be certain that your sins are forgiven believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved
However, Karue did not win the following point to bagel Felix, which he should have. In fact, he lost the next 3 points. I am no fan of the rush of blood that can happen when you play out of your skin. It is very distracting, and it may have cost him that game.
Brutal, Karue. You know, that little flair you have with the racket in your serve prep where you draw the racket back would be the perfect disguise for a drop serve...
Yeah! I was going to mention how he fans his wrist, probably to ensure he keeps it loose. Definitely methodical and uses his energy efficiently. I can see the lost energy with some servers. I’ve felt like that before. If the serve is not doing the damage, we swing harder, and usually quality falls. Karue appears to be putting a huge amount of energy directly into the ball. Both these guys on a whole ‘nother level.

Please keep the channel posted on the tournaments you plan to play, would love to see you play in New York/New Jersey area. Looking forward to seeing you at U.S. Open in no time.
I remember the last time they played. Felix tried to overcook almost every shot and he did the same here. I'm impressed how smooth Karue hits and moves. Effortless hitting and never forcing winners.
He looks like I feel when I’m playing somebody a level above me-constantly rushed for time, struggling to not hit back easy putaways and therefore mis-hitting a lot of balls (which become either UEs or easy floaters)
@@RCShufty Nothing wrong with his opinion. He is 20 or 21 and has been playing since he was 5. Also had the luck to do some extensive training with the help of his family I believe? It was great to watch this because it played out how you would expect it to based on following both Karue and Felix for years. Felix needs a coach who can help him see some of the blind spots in his approach to his tennis. If he doesn’t find a way to accept input on his blind spots he won’t be lifting the ceiling much higher. But let’s hope he does!
Not sure how tall you both are but it is amazing to see how small you both make the court look with that court coverage. But also how big it looks sometimes with the power and precision of your shots!
The most frustrated I've ever seen felix play. Guess we now have a rough estimate of the difference of a player in the thousands vs a player in the low hundreds. Karue was just playing counter punch and clinical point construction as well as the awesome return of serve. Those flat shots as well as the back hands were really devastating.
Same but I saw in his videos that he struggles with nervousness, eagerness, and emotions at times. Not a bad thing to care about the game, but he surely levels up once he gets in control. Like Rublev is insanely emotional each point, but it doesn’t affect his play 🤷
In the live premiere discussion Karue said that the next thing needed for Felix to level up is consistency. He already has three above-average big weapons that can legitimately hurt top players (first serve, elite footspeed, and big forehand) so right now it's always possible to win points with something flashy, but that's not enough to offset the points he donates to opponents with UEs. I believe the phrase Karue used was "you have to win more 'boring' points." He has all the tools for the big stages. Just more work to be done honing them.
Felix has a weak mind still. It feels like he plays for his ego and when things don't go like planned he can't control his emotions and feels like he's still stuck in that mindset that he needs to hit bigger and bigger to win and that's the only way. Like, you come to play Karue, and your first plan is to try to outhit him? Lol, good luck hahaha
Much respect to Felix. Not easy to compete at such a high level and post it online for the world to see. The world of tennis will be better with these 2 continuing to grind their way up the rankings.
Should hopefully bring some of the Felix fans down to earth about his actual level. In videos where he scores a few points against a pro (who is clearly taking it easy on him) they act like he is ready to take on Djokovic
Good stuff. Great camera angle. It looks like Felix was a little tight / pressing too much. You looked relaxed with effortless power and seemed to overwhelm Felix. Maybe it was the angle / court, but man you were crushing the ball. Well I love both your channels. Keep it up. I'm expecting big things :).
nope, not clearly in. Even stopping the frames the camera is not quick enough to capture enough info to reliably determine. What you can see is that in the frame before the ball hits the ground it is close, and the frame after the ball is bouncing up and outside the box, can't see a frame where the ball is hitting or missing the line and actually touching the ground.

Just in case it helps, I believe improving the number of views you comment for your channel is great by all the content you have been uploading forever… maybe you would just find that extra by increasing the uploading amount more and its regularly. I think this clearly shows that Felix really needs to improve his rally ball. Karue may look like he’s counterpunching but in reality, Felix’s ball just isn’t fast or heavy enough to threaten him. Even when on defense and or hitting short balls, Karue hits a ball that Felix isn’t equipped to deal with right now. At this level, you have to be able to comfortably deal hit a rally ball that puts you in at least a neutral position.
There are no shortcuts in tennis. It’s clear that Karue has put in more work and he is the more polished player. He could have beaten him a dozen different ways, but he chose the easiest way; let Felix beat himself.
Way back Karue did a video analysis of his game and ultimately that was what he recommended. ua-cam.com/video/Jtm-31vbcJk/v-deo.html Dude should be haunted by it... and I'm coming from a standpoint of REALLY LIKING FELIX. But still, there is time for him to bite the bullet: sit out the year and practice with high level teammates, then battle to the point where he is developing his game from low 12 UTR to being a legit prospect for touring pro. The worst that happens is he gets a degree and life long friendships... if he's not academically inclined he could grind at a JuCo before going to a non-academic big conference team (if there's guys playing football at Alabama, I'm SURE he has what it takes to major in something like Comm Studies somewhere).
I seriously doubt Felix believes he will make it as a pro player. He's a content creator and is probably going to leverage his channel into securing a tennis-related career once he stops pretending to become a pro
Yeah I’ve been following him for a while and I find he tends to make excuses for defeats. If he’s serious about improving his level he needs to start taking more accountability when he loses. He can’t always be blaming his physical condition or nerves.
The reason I stopped watching him. Anytime he loses he makes excuses . It's either he starts cramping or doesn't feel good but anytime he loses he always blames cramps. When in reality he just loses it mentality.

Karue improvement from last match are impressive, more accuracy and consistency. Felix did some adjustements too, but I think today Karue has widened the gap.
I watched the first set of ur challenger match today. I feel like ur end goal should be to make a 1st round at a grand slam. First goal is to win a challenger tournament. Both are pretty easy to do for you. Looking forward to that. You’ll get there.
Karue mi consigli un buon drill per approcciare a rete e chiudere il punto?da fondo gioco benissimo ma poi mi capito di giocare con avversari molto regolari e mi conviene scendere a rete x chiudere prima
I'm shocked how little players try to bring Karue to the net. He very obviously constructs points nicely and his opposition often let him. Why do so many players try to overpower him, he's a super defensive player. Bring him to the net, move him around the court, he can go side-to-side all day long. There wasn't a single dropshot in this whole set. This Felix player is obviously good but he lacks diversifying his shots and throwing players off. He'll get his arse kicked against ATP players that all know this.
I've had that feeling playing a superior player and redlining the whole time. Tbh, I thought Felix would do better this time around, but Karue is even sharper, hitting his spots, and keeping the ball deep and dictating points. Different level reflected in 2 UTR point gap.
There is a sizeable difference in levels between Karue and Felix although this is not surprising. I'm starting to think that Felix won't really make it - the competition is really cut throat and there are a lot of better players at his age on tour or in challengers, and a lot more coming in years to come. But kudos for him showing his journey.
You really believed at one point, that Felix is gonna make it? It's about the content and that's totally fine - but at his age he's lightyears away from making it as a pro
Seemed Felix was on the ropes mentally the whole set. Difficult to find solutions when under that pressure of a higher level. You seem to be ok with it, given previous Taylor match ( no level judgement implied), how do you figure it out?
@My Tennis HQ brother can u suggest me a nice racket choice for someone who hits flat forhends and has a good first serve, I thought about EZone 100 maybe wouls be good?
Félix seemed very nervous and shrunken, I think this confrontation was important for him, we hope he strengthens his mentality, he has improved his tennis a lot and is an example for many of self-improvement.
Hey Karue, I think Dimitrov is older than you? So, keep it up and see how far you can go! BTW, that court looks like it would be fast. Kind of reminds me of my brief time at Grossmont College, up on a hill. :)
My thoughts, tactically Felix was serving to your backhand but that to me was the more solid shot on return and Felix persisted to serve there. Also Felix could have noticed he benefited when he hit a low slice to your backhand and use that more often. Felix went so big on his forehand and sometimes I say did it need to be that big?
Hey Karue, I have a question about Tecnifibre rackets. I picked up a partial junior sponsorship.(Tecnifibre elite) And I was wondering your opinion on the Tfight-305 and the TF40. I love the Tfight 305 (16x19) but it's a little soft for me, though I always played with demos with bad string choices though so I'm thinking thats the issue. Could black code be a good fix to my issue? I've played with black code for a while and really love it. Also what's your opinion on the TF40 I would love to know.
I love watching the modern player gamestyle like karue's...more relaxed and smooth strokes with good accuracy. Next gen players like to do things a little bit too much...too much running and sliding, trying to hit bombs every single timee
You can tell how much Felix wanted to prove himself here by beating Karue here. I was a bit uncomfortable watching it. Always got the sense felix was a bit immature in his videos and it shows here. Granted it’s hard to put your entire tennis journey out there for everyone to see. Kudos to both of you guys.
Hi karue, it’s another question but I just want to know. So as I know you were playing/studying in collage in the USA, can you tell me what I need and how can I get accepted in collage. Thank you ❤️
Hi Karue, I have a question specifically about STRENGTH. Imagine that a tennis player has perfect strokes, footwork, all of it. Imagine that their serve, forehand and backhand look EXACTLY like Federer in his prime, BUT, this player has only 1/2 the muscle strength of Federer. How much would this player's serve speed and groundstroke speed be reduced?
Felix said that you have the ability to be a top 100 player in the world if you put your absolute all into your pro tennis comeback, and I honestly agree with him too. What do you think about it? What’s the goal for you in terms of rankings? Or do you not really have one? Big Fan Karue!!! You’ll be competing at the challenger level in no time!!

I'm starting to think that Felix won't really make it - the competition is really cut throat and there are a lot of better players at his age on tour or in challengers, and a lot more coming in years to come. But kudos for him showing his journey.
He should go to college in US
He was never going to make it. UTR 12 at best at 21 years old while I know some top 400 players who were alreayd 14 at this age.
What balls were used during the set? Just curious what you prefer
I have the Percept 100D, too. What strings and tension are you using in yours?
+@EdgewoodTennis he uses toroline kpop at 60 or 62 lbs ive heard him say both numbers
That out call by Felix at 9:16 is so bad. It was in by 2 or 3 inches.
It either scratched the line by a little or it was plain and simply out, look again.
@@KevashiIt's clearly in. You look again.
i saw that sick backhand on felix's channel. well done, sir, well done.
thank you!
I see that the Federer is strong in you young(ish) master Sell.
Looks like your game is going up and up Karue!
Anyone know where they are playing? It looks like Los Angeles and I wanted to know what courts in LA if that's where they are playing
Nice win. Would be great to see you play against Jules Marie at some point. Should be a close match.
Serve: better, especially 2nd serve. Backhand: better. Forehand: maybe equal but probably better. Volleys? Better. Game management: better
Do you mean t fight iso 305 which is a 18*19 ?
BEAST MODE!!!
two ATP pros going at it, love to see it!
One is an ATP pro (Karue) and the other is a semi pro (Felix)
Congratulations to both, a solid 4.5 set 😅
Felix deserves more respect in the comment section. Simple
Watching this one again after checking out Felix's video to try to level out the view counts, haha
hahah I got no chance in that competition
I love watching the modern player gamestyle like karue's...more relaxed and smooth strokes with good accuracy.
Next gen players like to do things a little bit too much...too much running and sliding, trying to hit bombs every single timee
5:27 your serve looks so loose and effortless 👏
Where is the battle ?
The true Felix vs Highlight Felix. But Felix is doing great. He’s got this.
Felix was redlining most of the match and it showed. Not sure if the gap between the two is that wide or Felix just had a bad showing.
The gap is huge but Felix but Felix is striving to be better which is evident
7:10 Jo Wilfried Tsonga get out of this body! 🤣
this tennis brother guy legit always rushes his points
Park in Long Beach or Compton.
I don’t think Felix would make the lineup at most top Division 1 universities. He’s a nice guy but I don’t see the top talent. Don’t hate me.
Yeah he is a 12 UTR vs top recruits have 13s and even 14s
This match needs a follow up discussion from both of you! The first point really shows Felix type of game but he was just not able to execute. But due to what, I wanna hear from you. The comment section is getting wild with speculations 🙂...
Hahah yeah lot’s of speculation. I am doing a livestream on Tuesday breaking it down. Stay tuned
