Ohohoho. Now THIS is the wheel we've been waiting for. Budget value formula wheel that looks premium enough to be up there with the best. I've been hung up with ordering one, but looks like my patience is paying off now that I can just pre-order this wheel instead of CS. ^^
Looks awsome, im looking for a DD wheel but i think i will go to T818 since i already have 2 thrustmaster steering wheels that already fit that hub. otherwise if i didnt have the wheels i would most likley go with Moza R12.
Power wise Simagic alpha mini is said to feel about the same if not slightly stronger. Build wise the alpha mini is made completely from alloy, very similar to simucube and as an owner of a alpha mini I can say that the build quality is high end, so that's another win. I do like that the Moza r12 has ports in the back to plug pedals and other things in.
@@JallyTeeyea the r12 having the ports on the back is a huge plus for me. Currently have a t300 and th8a shifter with the sparco hand brake. Currently nees 3 USB to run wheel/pedals, shifter, and handbrake. Planning on selling the complete setup soon and buying a moza rig.
I will forsure be waiting for one of the closer 3rd party sellers to pick up this wheel. Sim motion im looking at you!!!! Gonna be picking up the R12, the GS rim (the KS is just too large ro be considered a formula style rim as it will feel less snappy and reactive on tighter and snap back apexes like at silverstone where the cars balance is almost constantly shifting. Or a track like sonoma would be a good example.
The KS wheel does seem to offer great value for money but compared to other reviews I’ve watched I feel like you failed to explain the differences which makes it a cheaper option (for example its main body is made of plastic with a carbon fiber like finish, the rotaries/switches are not made out of aluminium but plastic, etc.). Again I’m not saying it is a bad wheel but when reviewing a new product I think you should put more efforts into the details.
Does anyone know if they were to eventually implement console compatibility would it come via software update or would they have to release new wheelbases?

Time will tell, but if you are simracing... then go for pc, ps5 has only gt7 .. wich at best is an average gt game from what i read. All other sims are way better on pc, ffb wise and you dont need a high end pc to run racing games.
The only things stopping me from purchasing Moza is the lack of console support as I mainly play PC and casually play GT7, and the lack of an interesting selection of wheels.
I have the ks wheel here and I'm not so enthusiastic. Squeaky buttons, shifters have different pressure points and moza's customer service is a disaster.
The KS wheel is the sort of F1/GT4 wheel I would buy, but the fact they discontinued the RS-D means I have to go shop around for something else than Moza.

Very good question! They both have pros and cons. Personally the GS feels more premium, solid, looks better in my opinion, and it has a few more buttons and rotaries. The KS fits my hands better and I prefer the ergonomics, and is lighter as mentioned in the review. My favourite it the KS, but it's a close one. If you need more buttons/switches and driver in bare hands, the GS is probably a better option
hey yall i recently purchased MOZA SRP pedals and have come across an issue where my pedals would disconnect from the pithouse software while in use and would stick my inputs momentarily and its been causing me allot of headaches trying to solve this issue, can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this

You briefly mentioned the KS wheel's compatibility with the R9 V1 in your review - is it incompatible? Would R9 V1 owners need to purchase the universal hub in order to be able to use the new wheel?
Hi, thanks for the comment. To clarify, the R12 is only compatible with the second versions of the CS, RS, & GS wheels (and all their other wheels of course). The KS wheel is compatible with all their wheel bases: R5, R12, R16, R21, and R9 V1&2. Hope this helps!
I own an R9 with an RS wheel. Personally, 9 Nm is more than enough for me as it already gets really fatiguing depending on the car I'm racing. On the wheel, I've been eyeing the GS to complement my RS, and I think I'll stick with it due to the more premium feel (leather grips, cooler forged carbon, nicer buttons). FSR would be a waste for me as I race in VR so the screen is useless.

I would take the Moza over the T818 purely because of the quick release and more importantly their software is leagues ahead of Thrustmasters

R12 is such a steal! It's definitely time for me to upgrade my TS-XW soon, the T818 is just not doing it for me.

Xbox they could just release an Xbox rim that would work perfectly. Sony on the other hand they would need to release a specific base

Moza hitting it out the park! First DD so R12 or R16 and any notchyness between the two? i am leaning towards R16.
Moza has the best QR i think. Moza R9, GS GT owner here.
The price of £870 for both is actually including tax in the UK - you can get it from UK sellers at that price right now
The only things stopping me from purchasing Moza is the lack of console support as I mainly play PC and casually play GT7, and the lack of an interesting selection of wheels.
It is definitely an issue for some people. For now, PC only, who knows what the future holds...
