I hold much respect for male cheerleaders. Dudes are physically fit as all hell. I don't even want to KNOW how much time they have to put in the gym just to do what they do. Especially those that are also gymnasts like this guy. It HAS to be a full time job...along with being a full time student. Much respect.
There are male cheerleaders that are straight and most are real athletes, so am I. Still when you say i cheer most people asume you are gay. Which is bad aswell i respect gay people just as i respect anyone else.
Gay, straight , whatever. These guys are real athletes who perform incredibly difficult maneuvers that need skill and stamina. Whatever “MAN” in the comments is moaning about them being gay and making fun of them will not have in their full bodies the strength that these guys have in one little finger. RESPECT
Simon Oliver ... sexist ... Also every sport is hard in their own way. We train for different things and it will always get harder as you move onto harder things.
Before ww2 there were no female cheerleaders it was seen as to masculine and physical demanding for women to do. You had singing girls but no female cheerleaders. It only in recent times since the 70s its been female dominated.
I’m a male cheerleader, I always get called gay and homosexual and things. Last game I got to school and everyone was talking about me and saying mean stuff to me. There’s only one other guy on the cheer team but he quit because he got bullied too much. Any advice? We went to nationals and we won but still even after that game I still was called trash and ugly and gay.
I'm a female cheerleader, and even though there hasn't been any male cheerleaders on my team, the best thing you can do is realize that you can do stuff that none of those other dicks can. They didn't spend their time training like you did, and they don't have respect for girls like you do. Just be proud of who you are and what you do!
Lan Chan Ignore the haters, fuck them. People are always going to talk and push you down to boost up their ego and like to stereotype. Continue on doing what you like to do. be like “dude, screw you. Just cause I am a male cheerleader doesn’t mean I’m gay.”
I admire all cheerleaders. I can look for what you do for hours. You are so strong, persistent and hardworking. People who are being mean to you - they are basically stupid and jealous. I bet none of them are capable of things you can do. They should look up to you for your talent and things you achieve. Tune them out. Life will put things into perspective and show who are the real deal. And you will come out on top of that mountain. Do your thing.
There's nothing wrong with being gay anymore. I love cheerleading and it takes talent to do what they do. Being gay is so last season. Nobody cares and I respect ALL male cheerleaders. I could never do what they do and that takes hard work. Plus they have ALL the most popular girls in high school wanting to hang out with them. Who wouldn't want that?!
I always thought that cheering is for women and girls my girlfriend she was in cheerleading she did cheerleader for top dog and I want to join it looks fun Active

Jorgeluis Fernandez hey bro stay in there I know what your going through! In high school I was called names and made fun off all the time for being a male cheerleader. Over time I got better and the rowdy crowd would cheer every time I tumble, jumped, and stunted now I'm graduated and I joined the ISU cheer team. Back in my old high school they have 4 guy on the cheer team. It gets better I promise!!!
Jorgeluis Fernandez get your skills up and then show off what you have. Trust me once you throw a toss cupie you'll watch them all shut up 👍🏿 keep at it
It's REALLY something I love to do! I'm really good, but I worry to much about what people say, I try not to, but it's really hard, because it's not common that boys do cheerleading anymore, so if I'm the ONLY guy on the team, basically I opened a door to getting bullied. Please help with some tips anybody, because I go to 8th grade in 2 months, and I want to sign up for cheerleading. I just don't want it to be the worst decision of my life.
@@vtyt9685 OMGGGGG, GREAT!!! I AM DOING CHEER NOW SOPHOMORE YEAR RIGHT NOW. I tried out for the first time in June this year and made the team! Not only did I make the team, I made Varsity as well! I am now the first boy In flushing history to do Cheer! It's such a big accomplishment. At the time I made this comment that you replied to from 2 years ago I didn't have my Back Tuck. I do now. And I don't care what ANYBODY thinks of me being on the team, because it's something I'm good at and will forever be good at. The way everyone hyped me up going to the first game last week was SO legendary! I'm so proud that I am here now, and I even influenced a boy from Middle School to tryout, he made it too! I've already began to start a trend (good trend) to get more boys on the Cheer team. So many people walk up to me and say I'm so brave for being confident to be the first. It's not about being the first, but it's still really big. Thank you for replying to this comment! I actually forgot all about it. I am 16 and a Sophomore in Highschool now and doing great! Thank you for checking up on me! 💖💖💖
If I knew I was going to breakdance in college, I would have done cheerleading in high school. I was on the wrestling team too, so I'm used to the gay jokes, except I guess the gay jokes are less impactful with wrestlers since we can murder anyone at will.
Maybe he is gay or maybe it’s just the way he speaks sounds feminine. But always teasing male cheerleaders are gay is wrong on so many levels. It’s basically stereotyping cheerleading must be feminine and girlish, and stereotyping Gay people are always feminine and girlish, but both are definitely not true because cheerleading requires much strengths and power, and many gay men are very muscular. Besides, being girlish is not wrong , but when many people always make fun of it then this “fun” might just become a kind of bullying, even though you might not do it on purpose
I wanna do cheerleading, definently not be on the school team, but just be a cheerleader, like maybe an understudy if that exists who can do everything the girl cheerleaders can, like the bad ass flips and the cool splits etc
Im a junior in small town highschool who was asked to tryout senior year and i think it would be funny to look back on. But the thing that holds me back for trying something new is definitely the bullying.
I'm trying out for cheerleading at my highschool, im the only one... I am relating to this so much its not even funny. From what ive heard a bunch of guys want to try out next year but want me to be the guinea pig...
So tired of people assuming a person's sexuality or whatever based on what activities they enjoy or participate in. Girls/women can be into traditionally boy/man stuff without it meaning anything other than it being something they enjoy and boys/men can be into traditional girl/woman stuff without it meaning anything other than they enjoy it. All this stuff can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of gender and sexuality or who they are and are not attracted to in whatever way.
If your a Male and gay and your doing cheer leading. Good JOB keep it up man. But if your straight you need to play a harsh sport wrestling mma or martial arts or football or soccer

cheer is fucking awesome and its super athletic, it actually surprises me that the majority of people who do it are girls because it's so hard
