Fr. Scott Dilworth, OCSO is a Trappist monk at Our Lady of Guadalupe Abbey in Carlton, Oregon. Originally from Michigan, he graduated from college in 1996 and entered the monastery in 2013. In between, he lived in several states while working first as an engineer and then as a sales rep. In 2023, he was ordained a priest. “Trappist” is formally known as the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance: OCSO, which is a monastic institute within the Catholic Church wholly ordered to contemplation under the Rule of St. Benedict.
