Love them all. Hope they will be able to make a fair buck in life. The hard part after an artist reach these levels. Where will you gig enough to call it a viable living. The world certainly needs this type of artistry that's for sure.
Many wonderfully gifted craftsmen and women. They all play the you know what out of the horn. Here are 10 younger horn players who have a high degree of artistry, creativity, originality, and are playing music representative of where composition and improvisation has evolved in the 21st century. Caroline Davis - Davis Leon - Brian Settles - Hery Paz - Anna Webber - Curtis Macdonald - James Brandon Lewis - Charlotte Greve - Caleb Curtis - Andre Roligheten
Absolutely! The other Alex Han is my favorite young sax player. DEFINITELY check out his playing on Marcus Miller's you tube videos: Marcus vs Alex or some of the NorthSea festival vids.
@@DjMDog0 What's "amazing" about sounding similar? Of course they do, they all learned out of the same book... That's not what Jazz is about, at all. Technique ain't sh!t.
Add Zoe Abadia from new york and graduate of julliard and Veronica Leahy from s.carolina and recent next generation jazz orchestra at monterrey jazz festival.
As soon as Julian lee played I knew it was the real thing wish him all success great feel swing sound of course all other saxophonists were amazing thank you Nigel Nash in great britain
Is it bad that I started listening to the guitar play comp instead of the tenor solo on the last one? 🤣 I play second alto in a band but piano in the other jazz band lmao
All of them besides #5, #7 sound like they are just playing out of an exercise book... they have amazing technique and really interesting harmonic lines but there's like zero meaning behind the notes :( which makes a clear difference between them and the greats.
Patrick Bartley is the only one to me that has his own original style !! all are very good school taught players but pretty much carbon copies of each other, still sound good though I just prefer originality!!
How about a list of OLD, long overdue for recognition sax players, like me? Too much emphasis on youth in our throw away culture. Leave that to the pop tarts. It takes the experience of life to play Jazz and actually say something.
@@k.1784 Ha ha, there are zero kids "better than me." Most of them just play wank job tech notes with zero music behind them. I stand by my point. Try better than insulting somebody you don't know and should respect. Kids these days, barf.
Well they're true, it does blow me away :) Its only clickbait if its misleading. And the reason Bernie Sanders is trusted and subscribed to is because his content is always consistently good :) Peace
Patrick Bartley is fresh🤘
Stunning Alex Hahn... Cannonballsy🎶🎷🌞
Love them all. Hope they will be able to make a fair buck in life. The hard part after an artist reach these levels. Where will you gig enough to call it a viable living. The world certainly needs this type of artistry that's for sure.

Agreed. Alex (Han) is fantastic. I'm surprised he's not more famous.
My boy pat!
So many excellent players nowadays that it's not even unique to be good anymore. I guess that's a good thing,..I guess?
I agree. All of these cats are amazing, but they sound so similar.

LUCAS PINO!!!!
Amazing player
The single most important thing we want to achieve is for Lucas Pino to be a one-chorus soloist.
lololol I strongly disagree with you Mitch, just like everything else. Also, you're the next to go. You heard it here first!!
Clearly a disappointing moment.
Lucas Pino!!!
what a fckin tone. wow

Is it bad that I started listening to the guitar play comp instead of the tenor solo on the last one? 🤣 I play second alto in a band but piano in the other jazz band lmao

Melissa Aldana beats them all

Where's Leo P? He should be no.1
George Woolley lol nah

Major Faìl.
All redundant recycled crapola.
Let's bring back melody.
And the dogfight between the sax players and drummers is cringeworthy.
