there goal I think is to find the perfect sonic because each of them has had in some way had obsession with their sonic but was "let down" so they are gathering the perfect team for the perfect sonic.
You can tell that during part 8 Knuckles still had just enough control to get sonic out of the emerald, but in part 9, either all the attacks and getting knocked out just took the last bit of his consciousness, or he only had control because he had transformed like 5 minutes before killing Tails.
So we have: -Tails, a crazy, Sonic obsessed brainiac fanatic -Amy, a yandere girl with superhuman strength and a massive hammer -Knuckles, a Doomsday beast that gets stronger with more rage it has. What's next? A Shadow with a drug addiction to make himself faster than Sonic?

5:05 this reminds me of the many fan fiction when sonic.exe gets destroyed. The demon is gone but Sonic is dying as well the first thing the characters see gone the demonic eyes are gone.
I legit don’t know what’s gonna happen next! This was hype! I put together that maybe the story would be this: twisted tails commented that other universes were lesser and not “correct”. So maybe his plan is to go to different universes and killing them off (leaving one survivor. Like Amy and knuckles for example are survivors of their universes.) Until there is only one superior universe that Twisted tails deems perfect. Probably shadow next since he was the last one left in the secret history tails video. So perhaps shadow will be the last one, all in all I’m excited as HELL to see what’s next!! 🎉🤩 awesome reaction as always dude!
