I know this is an older analog mixer but I'd still like to see a bit more in depth explanation of options and perhaps a procedure for proper setup of gain. One thing to note concerning all fader controls, for more precision mixing, the higher resolution control is near the Unity (0) mark. The 100mm fader control distance is not linear.
At 9:47 - "and the song is done now..." Always Always Always when I'm setting up a system and I'm at a point where I'm ready to listen to it... The device I'm feeding it with decides to end the song. I feel your pain.
Yes, definitely you can use 2 effects. You could put your reverb on Aux 5 and the delay on Aux 6, then turn up the Aux 6 knob on the vocal channel and Aux 5 on the drum channel.

This video is excellent... I have a question. How do I connect the monitor? I have to connect each instrument separated? Thank youu
Hi, whats the difference between aux 5 and aux 6, (yellow effect knobs). I'm trying to get some decent reverb on channels one and two (vox mics) and can't seem to get a decent sound. Get a better reverb effect on my 20yr old £350 Yamaha mixer. Any help appreciated or tips on the best effect pre-set to use. Thank you 🙂
Thank you. Just picked one up. New to this. You made sense of what looked like an adhd nightmare. 😂😂
Very good tutorial!! One thing that threw me was the pad toggle at the very top of the board needed to be pressed down to use synths
The PAD is used when you have a very hot/high incoming source - the PAD button "pads" it down to a reasonable source level
One Love!
Always forward, never ever backward!!

Thank you for this video! I picked up this same board for $100. I wasn’t sure how to get to the effects.

Can you use 2 effects at once? Like if you want delay on vocals and reverb on drums?

Monitor amplifiers or active monitors get their output from the four AUX outs in the rear of the mixer.
AUX 5 is for External effects return.

How do you add effect to the monitor mix?
Send from a channel's Direct out and Return via the AUX 5, I believe.
