- Just about recovered from Covid19 (still testing Positive) but at least i can get out of bed and move - which was more than I could do all of last week - still short of breath, but feeling better I decided to do something that would get me motivated again - so I got out the FMS PA18 1300mm and assembled it..

Never thought I would catch it Adam - not fully recovered, but doing OK - working from Home this week as I am still testing positive for Covid - although I am feeling much better than the past few weeks - this little 1300 PA18 will be taken down to the Field along with it's Mum the 1700mm Version... when I am back in the land of the living - do take care Adam - my regards to everyone at your end.. it is a nice looking aircraft - I have the bigger version from FMS and hope this smaller version will be just as goos as it's bigger sister...

the foam is FMS quality but the design regarding wing connections is quite poor and could have been done much better at least the Wings stay on for transportation so it is a one off job - LOL - Cheers Chris - Martyn
I hope you are fully recovered. I had it 18 months ago but it wasn't to bad and since then full immunity. You will enjoy this plane when you start flying. It's an easy cub!
HI LAPEOS, Sorry to say as I had problems before it hit me - it has left me less than I was - difficulty breathing at the slightest application of effort, something that took me half an hour to do now takes me over the hour and I need rest after it - the doctors are about to tell me (after tests) that it is long covid ?? - so Unfortunaly I have done little flying , as the effort is just too much for me right now - just missed 3 wonderful Bank holiday days in the UK - could not go out... I hope to be back flying very soon - I have the larger FMS version I think it is 1700mm - I love that one so hope this smaller one will be just as good.. thanks and take care.. Martyn
@@FlankerTanker I really hope you will get better soon. Long Covid appears to be a tricky condition and taking long time to recover. All the best!

Looks good mate just hope it fly's as good as the 1700mm one and like you say it's a better size to fit in the car without taken it apart.
Did I here you correctly NO 3 BLADE PROP !, sorry mate I couldn't resist on saying it.
I use blue thread lock of course making sure I don't get any on the plastic parts of the Prop assemble.
I hope the plane sale went well.
As a matter of interest did you get anywhere with the Skyrc GSM-015 Speed meter or not.

Hi Steve - thanks for your message and email - I did send a reply hope you got it - Did I ever tell you than John Land said that my 1700 FMS PA18 could do anything his Patten ship can (after he shocked me while flying it a few months back)!! - and Yes you did hear that correctly NO three blade prop - lesson learnt on that particular issue.. LOL... Thread lock is good but I am so clumsy at times I use Foam-tac so if it gets on the plastic it is still ok - three or 4 sold - now that is a story I must tell - three went to USA (Still in the Box - Hobby King ones) it seems as if Hobby King have also pulled out of the USA .. as they did here in the UK and Europe.. Yes I do use the GSM-015 when I can get it into or onto an aircraft - just for the fun of it... Stay well and see you as soon as I am back to something close to normal (for me).. at the field... Absolutely agree - and they are a Pain to thread into the Fuselage - so no way is the wing coming off again - but unlike the bigger 1700mm version (that I also have) this one would fit into the car without any issues....
@@FlankerTanker that's important too, I'm trying to get my A1 going so I can leave the wing on!
