A color version of a monochrome photograph of Onomichi Senkoji Temple from the 1950s. I have put together a video of part of the current Senkoji Temple. There are some valuable items that can only be seen in photos these days.
[Senkoji Temple, Senkoji Bell Tower] This is a temple that symbolizes Onomichi. Located halfway up Mt. Daiho with a panoramic view of the Onomichi Channel, this is a Shingon sect temple founded by Kobo Daishi in the early Heian period, and is the 10th cold spot of the 33 Kannon sacred sites in China. Tourism momentum suddenly increased with the opening of the ropeway in 1955.
Initially, the NHK antenna tower was located at Senkoji Temple.

[Onomichi Castle]
Onomichi Castle, a tourist castle, has finished its role and is now used as an observation deck, MiTeMi.

Although the cityscape of Onomichi and the construction of the bridge have changed greatly, the view from Senkoji Temple is still as wonderful as ever.

昔の写真をさらにカラー化は貴重。
猿が1匹だけいたのは見たことあるけど観覧車とか動物園もあったのか。
今は千光寺公園何もないんで寂しい。
尾道の景観的には良くないかもしれないけど
新しくなった展望台は尾道水道がバッチリ見れるんで良い。
