It's because once most people get money and fame they start acting reckless and aren't really held accountable. Plus the type of people that become top top youtubers tend to relate to the average person's base desires and those people tend to be a little bit shitty already. And many of them get this fame and money and a younger age and most people make terrible decisions when we're young. Combine all those factors and you've got a recipe for disaster. Same goes for people in the past most of the people we know from the past were rich, normal people don't tend to make the history books. Rich people have always been able to do whatever they want and didn't care about others. So we look back and go wtf guys that's messed up
I really enjoyed this because sometimes in historical era films the casting directors choose the wrong people for the era and their faces just look so disjointed in the time period and makes the film feel like cosplay :)

I have heard of exactly one of these channels. Ah the joys of social media algorithms and their ability to create a completely warped view of reality. Based on the recommendations UA-cam gives me, one would think that UA-cam is 90% costuming/historical clothing and cooking videos.
For me it's 30% historical costume videos, 8% cooking videos, and the rest is Word of Honor crack videos
