- Hi guys! here is a drawing of Link, part of a “the legend of Zelda" triple done because of the release of the new game(s) and my love for the franchise, these will be my last big drawings for a while - they take far too long, sorry for some of the skips some of my video files showed error messages for reasons I have yet to know
I will however continue drawing - probably smaller and tutorial based with the occasional big one :), I hope everyone enjoys these videos and thank you all for your support and subscriptions ! they really mean a lot to me

Do you know what confuses me most about these types of artists? Two things:
1:they seemingly just know exactly where to put everything perfectly.
2: They know when to move on from one spot to the next, meaning they never overdo it.

Hey polaara :) you were my inspiration to go into colored pencil drawings. I learned nearly every technique i know just from sitting down and watching your incredible videos and very helpful tutorials. It's because of you i devoted much of my time to develop the skill, and try new things out (like putting pink and back together to make reddish shadows, like holy crap that was awesome)
Right now I have very bad tendinitis, and haven't been able to draw for the past two years. It's been really hard, but just seeing your art makes me smile. So I just wanted to thank you for that, and keep up the work! You are incredibly talented and you have the ability to inspire people, so just keep doing what you're doing, keep on improving, and I look forward to watching more of your videos in the future.
Also, since I've already ranted on so long, I may as well add: I LOVE THIS SKETCH!!! :D it looks so incredible, I thought the first Link you drew was unbeatable, but just look at the improvement in technique! Love it~
Simmie: personally, I don't think the brand of pencils matter that much. What's more important is the range of colors that you have. For most drawings, around 36 colors would be enough to get most of the colors that you would ever need. I have 2 sets of color pencils that I use for my drawings, a 36 Fabre castell set and another brand with 72 color pencils, although that was a gift from someone else.
Hint: white pencil makes all the difference :)
Not yet, but what I heard about prismacolor pencils are that they are softer than normal. You could probably get the same effect with watercolor pencils though. hey tend to blend better than normal color pencils.
Uh, art shops? That's where I buy all my supplies really.

I have somewhat the same problem like you, having no inspiration and having problem drawing the last couple years but this work ist awesame! :D
Shining Triforce I know now that I actually didn't have tendonitis, I had a freak of nature sort of issue cutting off the nerves inside my carpal tunnel, so I had to have surgery XD joy
But now I'm drawing again! And I agree, whenever I have trouble just looking for motivation or inspiration and anything of the sort, I've always turned to these amazing videos :3 I hope you find your inspiration!

like 7 years ago this was maybe the 3rd video i’ve ever watched on yt and i remember when i first saw it i was so inspired to draw, this video is what got me into drawing i come back every once and a while to rewatch bc it’s so nostalgic tbh

Savescreen Have you seen any of the work from this artist? Then what´s with the diminishing comment about "copying stuff like this"? What is wrong with, on top of having their own style, recreating things they like? It´s called "replica" and "reinterpretation" and it takes, as you can see from watching the video, as much skill and effort. If your comment wasn´t meant to detract the artist recreating Link, then I take it all back, but it sounds just like that.

Hello Ms.Polaara, I just wanted to let you know, that I've been watching your channel for a few years now, and it's inspired me to improve my art. I draw anime like you, but everyone really critiqued it harshly, so i quit for nearly two years. I'm really surprised you didn't use and extra sheet of paper under your hand to prevent smudging! do you clean your hand every few minutes to prevent color smudging?

Polaara, do you convert your videos before uploading them to movie maker ? Because when I try to make my videos speed up any faster than 8x, it gets really choppy and it's driving me crazy please help me .
