Just like NCAP which gives safety ratings to cars there should be an organisation which rates company's service
This is such a stupid example. NCAP is a body that gives safety ratings of a product, not the service provided by the manufacturer.
i think there are such organisations...
but would you consider them, they might take money and rate the company better than others 🌚
I was with one of my friends who serviced his Realme 6i. Apparently the motherboard was dead. They said it would take 1 hour. We waited for exactly 1 hour but they stated it took 50 minutes which is ok. They asked for the pass too. Since the whole motherboard was changed, my friend lost all his data. Also, the service was for free as it had one year warranty. Otherwise it would've cost about 15,000 BDT ≈ 11,000 RS. Realme later called him to check if the service was ok and was it under 1 hour. Satisfied by Realme service.
Yes , they even replaced my realme buds 2 ...but those are not at all good for mic, and build quality
MB replacement in one hour by a Chinese brand?!
5 years ago I had to get a MB replacement done by a Chinese brand, it took 1 month😂
Glad to see things are changing!
@@TechnologyJock dont knw about chinese... but i had such experience from the legendary Micromax .. 2times
@@TechnologyJock is it possible to get refund or replace in Samsung?
they ask for password when you are in front and checking the phone, behind the bar they do
anyways even I had a similar experience with my s9 however that phone was under warranty and my screen was getting replaced as it was turning red. I went to the service center in Goregaon W Mumbai they took the phone and handed over me a loner device and further that guy told me it will be ready by evening however they did not gave an update and I called them and later they told me it is ready but the waterproof testing is yet to be conducted. For the waterproof test it took 3 days and then I got the phone that too the back panel was not sticked properly that shifted. A month ago when I took my S9 to sell it off, the Reliance digital guy in Kolkata checked the device and asked me why this phone was dissasembled and I asked him how did you know ? He showed me how the panel was not in its proper place and that is why water damaged the phone. Those samsung guys kept my phone for 3 days extra for waterproof test and the irony was that is was not waterproof sealed !!
My experience with Samsung:
My Samsung M30 got blank suddenly and the phone wasn't booting. I went to the customer care. They checked the phone and told me it would take 5k to fix the phone. And I said ok. They said they would call when the phone was ready. But 2 days went by and no call. So I called them They were asking for more money. So I went to the customer care again. They told me a new problem has been identified and it would take 2k more. I said what the heck did you guys check in the first day?? I said I won't spend 7k on this phone I could buy a new one. They didn't give me the phone. They told me I have to pay 5k otherwise I wouldn't get the phone. Why would I pay 5k for nothing? I had to pay them 7k. The phone was repaired. It took 3 visits to the shop 4 phone calls and it took 4 days to repair.
This was my experience. Location: ( Dhaka, Bangladesh )

With xiomi i had a good experience. A year back my poco f1's screen was shattered. I had an accidental warrenty with it so i called the service center. My nearest service center didn't had the screen at that time but they confirmed with another service center and asked me to visit that. I visited that service center, and with in 3hrs i was holding my phone in my hand with a brand new screen. No much questions asked. No much troubles faced. And coz of this smooth experience, after this incident i had bought roughly 6-7 xiomi devices till date for my family. 😀
How much it costs for screen replacement of pocof1 with and without warranty!!
They need the password to open a setting from the number pad to test some of the functions if I'm right. They do it to test out the touch screen.
I think they would reset the device before repairing
Never ever give them your password. Are you kidding? I don't care what the reason, do yourself whatever adjustment they are talking about.
Passwords are not meant to be shared with anyone no matter what..
@@aizad786iqbal exactly. Thank you.
Getting a good service centre is a hit or miss. It depends on the place where you're from. But still Samsung does have some of the better service.
I've had great experience with mi service here in Calicut, Kerala. Considering that mi is said to have a very bad service experience I'm greatly happy here. I've also had other friends which had bad service experience with other brands.

I visit samsung service center for my galaxy a50 screen replacement and my experience is very good. my phone ready with in 1 hour. and the guys are very helpful.👍
Me too..they replaced it in 2 days. It was a smooth experience.

🤣🤣
You can make a series of these videos, by testing the after sales of each brand, to really know whose service is better or if all of them are the same
My experience was much better, My Samsung phone got screen replacement in 3-4 hours (maybe even early as I gone somewhere and when I comeback the work was done), they didn't ask me to pay anything as my phone was under warranty.
I got my powrbutton replacement done of s9,and it was pretty seamless. Happy with it :)
On 27 June 2020, Xiaomi service center was finally opened after lockdown. My Mi A2 was stuck in bootloop during lockdown by a bad update which Mi pushed (I never unlocked bootloader, never installed any roms whatsoever). So I went there, they asked me to wait 3 hours, I waited, and then they handed me a totally bricked device (no logo, no charging icon whatsoever) and told me that there's problem in MB, so it will cost 12k, since it was out of warranty. I asked them that my device was showing Mi logo, charging icon, but now I can't see anything. They told me that motherboard is damaged, we can't fix this. I took my phone home, and bought Realme device. Very bad experience in Xiaomi service center.
Edit: I was even charged 100+18 rs GST for device inspection 🙂
Have you tried fixing it yourself? There are articles & UA-cam videos to unbrick MiA2

My experience with MI service center when I owned one Redmi device was very good that too in a town
And coming to the password issue, the executive at the service center had asked me to save my data in another device and submit the device after resetting the device...
Shooting all this via a spy cam...would have been great
This guy didn't even ask or mention what was or what could possibly be the Root cause for his Display Issue 😅 He didn't tell if he asked the Service centre guys why the phone encountered such a display issue all of a sudden! Amateur Stuff this is
I have been to the same service Samsung center twice with my mom's m20 first time it was something wrong with headphone jack/charging port they replaced it under warranty, second time to replace a broken display. This particular service center though its not nearby was suggested by a Samsung store person saying they are better than other service centers and almost all service center had poor reviews online.
I remember them telling me about testing the phone with the customer in place during my first visit.
Both the time they asked for the password not just to me they did to everyother person there.
As you said the work was done perfectly both the time. But the experience was above average, since my expectation was low to begin with i went prepared.
I have been to OnePlus and Mi service centers too one thing all these places had in common is waiting period was long otherwise workmanship was good.
Did you give them password? I also gave my password. I am scared that what if they took my pictures and videos and data
I gave my phone to the Same service center. They said that they will call me once my phone is ready but they never called so I had call them after few days and get the status.
I would rather buy a different device than to share my phone's password.
Also, I noticed, in any service center, you can't get any job done without sitting there for at least an hour.
Thanks bro for the service center experience
for 3 days this video been in front of my eyes,
and i thought its marques brownlees video😂
until i thouched
I didn't have this kind of experience... They didn't ask for the password... But they said that the phone will be formatted and all the data will be erased... And I'm ok with it
Should i pay extra 3 k for that 108 mp cam. Nd buy the max version or the pro with 64 mp camera which hs smsung sensor in 3k less
I got my 5 year old Samsung S7 serviced at the Service station for a battery issue... I wanted them to replace the battery but they told me that it only needed a SW reset rather than a complete battery replacement. This was cheap and it has worked. My battery is still working fine. So, I am completely happy with Samsung's experience.
In regards to Chinese manufacturers, I owned a Moto G (2nd Gen) in 2015 and they kept it for 4 weeks for a power component replacement (I had connected it to a Samsung Charger). I have never bought a Chinese phone since.
I had formatted my S7 before handing it over, since it is not a good practice. But they had not asked for the password.
Perhaps you were unable to format yours, but you should have insisted them to format the phone instead.
They have asked me for password too, edit: I asked the Samsung whatsapp support they said it's the quality checking stage which need the password
They forcefully install a software update after replacing any part 😂
Trust me.... There is no guarantee that these service centers replace original displays.....like oneplus though they get a lot lot of amount
Your experience has been fairly hassle free in my humble opinion... waiting for an hour extra than expected is not a big deal..Some of us have to make appointments after appointments before getting our device back and often Chinese vendors make a messy fix job that adds to our worries
And unless you hand them over your pin how are they supposed to under take quality control? You should have got it formatted before visiting service center
absolutely right. this guy is just exaggerating stuff. its sad to see how indian youtubers try to manipulate their viewers. I have heard similiar pthetic stories. These so called influencers and youtubers try to black mail others and do shady practises.
Totally disagree with you . He is absolutely right he was told that the phone will be ready by 7 pm and he came the day after to collect it then also he has to wait for half an hour so so. This is annoying. And also motorola and OnePlus never asked me my password for their so called quality checking stuff !
And I dont have a samsung phone thank god their phone are just making everyone fool 🙄
@@Toofan0901 may be if he said he would take it the same day, they would have got the matter expedited
Bro I really like your content. I hope you reach 1 million mark very soon!
Yes we need more service experience videos coz nobody is concerned about that.. everyone's just praising the specs of the phone
I've had a great experience at a samsung service centre, I too own the s10+ and had accidentally shattered the screen. So I had booked an appointment for service , went to the centre and submitted my phone , they replaced the display in like an hour and they did ask me for my password it was for basically checking whether the display is working properly or no. And then the payment and other things also went smoothly.
I had gone to replace the screen of my father’s S8, same problem of screen and it was hassle free. I gave the phone to the service centre and as far as I remember, they had taken the password and next day made the huge payment and got it back
Another incident of my iPad was again hassle free but they took weeks to replace it and duration of time was unsure
Congratulations for 300K🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️
I had a similar experience with my Note 9 in Bangalore. The camera was malfunctioning but it was under warranty. Was asked to wait for 2 hours so I said I'll come the next day. When I went the next day, I was asked to wait for 15 min which soon turned into almost 1.5 hours. Regarding the password, they said I would either have to give them the pin or they would have to factory reset the phone. Since I already had a backup of all my data, I asked them to reset it. Not the best experience, and the issue resurfaced even with a replaced camera sensor so I had to repeat the process and it was properly fixed the 2nd time.
Damn!
And yeah that's the most annoying part, when the issue resurfaces even after the service. It happened to my Galaxy Note 4. Someone else also shared a similar experience!
I brought my galaxy m51 charger to service center. And those guys just replaced it without asking anything. Literally anything. took just 5 minutes
this guy is nuts. exaggerating as if he has been harassed by being asked to wait for 5 minutes. Lmao

Every company asks for the pattern.. especially when screen is replaced. They need to check the touch tests etc. One plus installs an app and tests the touch everything etc. That's pretty common. They don't ask any internal app lock passwords or anything. Pattern is required to check the touch response during and post the installation of new screen.
How do you shoot in your op8 pro because there is no obvious difference between footages. Make video about it
12:22 yeah they have to do that to go into touch checking screen through phone dialer to check if it working properly or not
Payment verification time needed is okay. They're employees and need to confirm. And yes device password is needed to optimise screen. It was weird for me too
My display of redmi note 5 pro was replaced in 3 hrs nearly 2 years ago, last month of warranty and my phone had screen retention issues, earlier too it was there but with time it increased so i went their after confirming for SC about parts availability. Experience was smooth.
Always like to see your videos 😀😀
I had similar experience with samsung but I had relocated to another part of the city and they are perfectly fine with service and things. Looks to me like it's that some service centers have bad management issues
Hey TJ my man. If possible please make a vid on Realme X7 Pro screen replacement experience. Realme is selling tons of phones now but we have no idea how their customer service is.
I have the same experience with service center in Karnataka Udupi as well they asked me pin just after replacing the charging Port 😶
Yes want more this kind of videos..
No quality checking is done by cracking the password and i guess that particular service center is at fault here.
I have a realme device and i had some screen issues.
They asked me the password too. But they couldn't fix the screen so furious me took it to some other realme service center and they fixed the screen without the password.
It varies i guess
They are all the same at any Service Center. I happen to visit the nearby center to my place to get my friends A51's earphones replaced. The one which came in the box, which has a 6 months warranty.
Firstly they told us this was not the earphones, Samsung packs in their A51.
We doubt why were they saying this. We left and later got back to the center with a photo of an opened box of a Display A51 from Croma, the place where we purchased the phone from. And also showed several videos on UA-cam. To which they again said out system isn't accepting the report. Later they asked the phone and the passwords to check for something, on asking them, they said it was for a quality check. We were surprised to know. We have a problem with the earphones and they were quality checking the phone. And they told us the earphone Thing would be sorted in a day or two. We said okay and we left. We followed up with them for a week.
The phone is more then a year old now and we still didn't get the earphones replaced.
By god’s grace, I never bought Samsung phones. Thanks Ashwin Sundar for sharing your experience. May be helpful for Samsung owners..
Also just a thought.. instead of breaking phones and trying experience.. put a post in twitter asking anyone has any issue with their realme, xiomi phone in Chennai and you can help them as well as get your work done. This way a person can be benefitted and your purpose will be served as well
Bro this was same experience 8:10 When i went to replace my Tablets battery . They told me they will give it tomorrow at 5;00 pm but when i went there they said they will need 1/2 Hour more . This was something very disappointing . Because people come to them on given time leaving their work & thinking that they will need just 10-15 min but they have to spend their 1 Hour atleast , which is really Disappointing
What exactly was the issue with your screen, please tell me....bcz i'm also facing a green screen problem with my samsung A52 which is under warranty. I went to the service centre and they told to come after 3 days as the stock was not available. Very disappointed, and they also told that there will be no assurity if the data is lost.😭
I have been to samsung center for mu s10 they did not ask the password...after repair they asked password..checked the device in front of me and handed over the device..
I visited the same samsung service center (anna nagar, chennai) as my galaxy buds plus case was not working because of water damage. Their work was good ,they said it would be ready in 2 days but I got it after 3 days.
Super anna
This is the usual experience at any service centre. I faced the same situation at Samsung service for my phone. In my case they said they accept cards and online payments but while payment they asked if cash could be provided. I kept being adamant and they took online payment but made me wait to let it reflect in their account.
Many forget that after service, it's no guarantee that IP68 or whatever ingress protection the factory made has promised will be retained or not, after they remove the back panel to replace something. So this is nothing but disappointing especially for those who gets serviced for manufacture defect
We don't need to go service center unless we break the screen, back glass or damage the phone with water
True bro. My phone fell in water and it was fixed by local technicians. .
My m21 screen was broken ..so I went the nearby service center although that's 32 km away from my home..they told it cost around ₹6000,where my phone cost ₹ 12,500
So I went back to home & went to a local shop, but unfortunately that shopkeeper messed up making my phone dead 😪
When I visited Xiaomi service centre for battery replacement for Redmi y1.
First they asked me to format the data and hand over the device.
Bro don't put misleading thumbnails
You just had to wait half an hour extra
At Asus Service Center, I had to wait 4 hours extra, that is the worst ( without AC in May in Bhopal )
Dude it is Samsung!!!
Do you even know what you are talking about???
Yes. thers Galaxy A51 display and yes, i had to draw the screen unlock pattern on the job sheet.
Holy sh*t, just recently I had visited a Samsung service centre to only just get my broken SIM tray that had got stuck removed, the process being to remove the back glass panel and then remove the broken piece and then fix the glass back. For that they had told me to remove my password. The answer was just the same as Sundar said.
My Samsung J8 had the screen stop working TWICE!!
Once the screen became grey in a spot , they told the screen was getting pressed in that position.
Second time the touch screen died and they charged more than before and the first time they did not even put it in warranty.
I just stopped using it.
Whereas the LG V20 (when it was two years old) had the screen replaced in about thirty minutes..
Edit: I was asked for my password (but everything was locked and there are no passwords in chrome).
I don't know about Samsung but it took almost 4 to 5 hours to replace motherboard, receiver, and camera lense in my brother's poco m2 pro which was in warranty.

My experience of visiting an authorised service center of Samsung: On 6th March 2021, I bought a brand new Galaxy S20 FE from a local retailer in Bhopal. I was happy setting up the phone the entire day. Next day onwards, it started heating up terribly from front and back. I visited the service center on 8th March. They updated the software in 2 hours but it was still heating up. I asked for a refund but they said they first have to check the handset and can only replace it. They asked me to come again in the evening and to my good luck, they agreed for the replacement. I insisted for the refund but they refused. Can I get the refund? Any idea?
They only refund if they don't HV the phone in stock

In redmi service center, i gave my poco f1 for service. They didn't ask for password instead they asked me to backup all the data from mobile, then do factory data reset and provide the device to them for service.
Generally password is required by every company if it's locked. But generally they format the data which they inform in advance. So, u are lucky that ur data was not formatted.
The same waiting happening for me today as I am commenting on this video. They told the phone is ready after replacing the display, yet they are making me wait 30 mins for some QC. Earlier they told the QC got over !!!!!!
My brother's phone samsung m50s battery issue service center takes 2 weeks to replace the battery
I owned a Redmi Note 4 2 years back.
I flashed the ROM for redmi 4 and the device was bricked.
Took it to service center in Kochi Kerala and told them its like this after taking it from charge in the morning and acted innocent.
They inspected and changed the motherboard within 2 hours free of cost under warranty.
But at the same time I could see another person who came to repair one thing say display and now his speaker isn't working.
It all depends on luck in my experience.
Never had to visit a service center (smartphone) after that .
Sold the Redmi Note 4 after it completed 2 years .
Now my redmi Note 7 Pro is two years old thinking of an upgrade.
Monuse
I think... every brand Asks password during any display related service. Because, same thing happened when I replaced my Realme 5pro's display!
They need password for your phone's engineering mode and some unique service codes to calibrate the display.
I think the fact that you said you will come to pick your phone tomorrow, they didn't repair it that day. They started to replace the screen on day 2. It's obvious that they will prioritize their task for the day. And 30 mins wait time is just bad timing for you. Also, if you are precious about your time, you should call the service centre and ask them if the phone is ready to pickup.
Well went to mi service center to replace battery in my redmi 4 phone....in Oct 2020 😂....3 years after buying the mobile...I am really happy with their service

i had to visit Xiaomi service centre omce, and the experience was amazing....
Service experience differs place to place. Depends on the management staffs at particular service centre. Yes, I'm agree with you on that samsung won't do anything with your data but can't trust the guy sitting inside.
This kind of delay is there in about 80 persent of Xiaomi and samsung centers.when you first visit service centre and if you find people waiting...be sure to face this type of situation. And before handing over phone always hard reset the phone...otherwise that guy may misuse your passwords or personal data.
