I was literally on a plane today listening to my music on shuffle and Dreaming by OMD came on and I thought, "They should react to OMD. I bet his son would like them." Then this popped up when I got home. Totally awesome!

OMG after Erasure, Depeche Mode and A-ha now you reacted to the next of my favorite bands from the 80`s. OMD are so good and offer so many different styles of electronical music. When you come back to react to them, maybe you can choose different songs by them from different eras, this could be really interesting. The beginning, when they sounded very like New Wave. For me one of their best early songs is "Of All The Things We've Made" - so minimalistic and pure - has some Kraftwerk-Vibes. Then the mid-80`s, when they had their most successful time with hits like "Made of Orleans", "Souvenir" or "(Forever) Live and Die". In the 90s Andy McCluskey did OMD as a solo project and there are aome good ans catchy songs from this era as well - „Pandora’s Box“ and „Walking On The Milky Way“ to mention. And finally the current era when Andy and Paul reunited as OMD together. They didn`t chart high in the singles charts anymore but their latest albums are great and showcase an interesting evolution of their sound. It also can be interesting so see Ty`s opinion on their new stuff - if it sounds to him like „modern music“ or has an vintage style to it. „The Punishment of Luxury“, „History of Modern“ and „Metroland“ are some of their newer songs that I really do like.
If I had to suggest any songs it'd be Almost, Enola Gay, and Never Turn Away. I think they're pretty diverse picks that would give a great idea of the range of OMD.

This was a marker of my youth. I was 13-14. Such a conflicting age for a female teen. But it was part of my life during exciting times
