God bless you Cathy, you were a fantastic actress.
You made a lot of people happy with your acting.
I loved you, Kathy Staff - and there is not a day of my life goes by when I don't watch an episode of Last of the Summer Wine. A truly, great actress!
Go on, admit it, it was CROSSROADS
Ps you're right, she was a great actress, in both serious & comedy acting
@@TheWacoKid1963 I'm not sure if this is a terrible admission to make - but I never watched Crossroads, not once!
@@amhunter9619 I didn't have a choice, we only had three tv channel back then AND my mother wanted to watch it lol
Very beautiful graveyard. I have always loved watching her in Last of the Summer wine
I adored Kathy in LOTSW. Her character was fantastic! Poor Wally had a hard life whilst Compo thought she was the bees knees!!
Talking rubbish during their coffee mornings had me in stitches.
Learning of her passing due to a nasty illness filled me with great sadness.
HOWEVER!!! I enjoy the fact that LOTSW is repeated in its entirety so often, & never tire watching their antics. Nowt smutty, just comfortable watching. I even have the full box set in case they stop showing the series!!!❤️❤️💕
Met her twice completely by accident in the 70s when ATV studios used to be in Aston Birmingham and she was a lovely woman, no Pretensions she was a lovely down to earth woman .
She was fantastic. Thank you for this tribute to her.
She was just brilliant, loved watching her , sadly missed , she would say to what do you want with a tone just perfect xx
This was classic comedy at it's best coming from the seniors 🤣
iv always loved watching last of summer wine and Nora she was a big part of it RIP kathy
One of life's wonderful 'characters' - gone but not forgotten !
Thank you so much for sharing. Kathy Staff was one of my all time favorites on the Summer Wine series. Again thanks!
She came to Dukinfield Town Hall to see Albert & the Lion . My daughter, who was a child at the time based her character around Nora Batty. She got a standing ovation and Kathy Staffs was impressed. She came and shook her hand at the end of the show.( If my memory serves me right)
Great actress & thank you so much for sharing this, much appreciated.
👍😎
Kathy Staff was as lovely lady l met her a few times and she always smiled. GOD bless her. 🙋🙋🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
She also played Mrs Blewitt in that wonderful series Open A Hours. Thanks for the laughs Kathy. R.I.P
Always nice to reminisce over a previous location. Also, good to see you back on your feet 💙.
Thanks, hoping to get back out again next weekend 👍🙂
Kathy's husband Jack (John) Staff was my maths teacher at Audenshaw Grammar in the mid 60's. A mild-mannered bloke but he didn't have much patience with those who were a little slower to pick things up, like me. As for Kath, she was a lovely lady and very active in Church matters. I almost bought a house from her when I was first married in 1977. Dukinfield Crematorium is just down the road from where I live.

Lovely LADY VERY GOOD ACTRESS RI P kathy xx
Many years ago Kathy came to Norwich theatre to act in a Pantomime an a Local Radio Station interviewed her, she said she had been very busy an hadn't been able to buy some talcum powder for her aching feet, she said she was coming to Cromer next day to open some event, I met her an gave her some talc an a few toiletries, she thanked me profusely an later that week I received a hand written letter of thanks again, she was lovely and had no airs an graces about her.
Ive read her book , she sometimes holidayed in Scarborough. Love these dvds but so bittersweet.many thanks for all your hard work .
Thank you👍💐

Awwww Kathie Staff Bless her 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
She was a amazing actress nice to see her resting place beautiful
Funny how folk always think of Nora Batty first when thinking or speaking of Kathy staff.. I always think of her firstly as Doris Luke off Crossroads
I love that show.
Thanku
One of the greatest actors
Kathy staff was sister to our deputy head mistress. I met her few times at my schools sports day when we broke up for summer holidays

Brian Wilde died in March of the same year
Yes, his final resting place is Harwood Park Crematorium, Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
Good video thanks 😊
Kathy was so lovely. Just like your gran would be. No Messing bit strict but lovable. Great actress.
I hope you get well dude, keep up the good work
She was also in Crossroads. She was the head house keeper.
God bless her xx
Cheers bro, subbed, hope you're feeling better soon.
Genio!!!!
Awww I just found your site and subscribed!😂😂
👍🙂
Another great British actress.
Rest in peace
Why were you sick? Thank you for sharing.
Early last year while filming another video I had a bad fall where I damaged my left knee, what I didn't realise was I also had an internal injury which lead to months of pain and suffering before the doctors did anything about it (covid 19 was their excuse) I now have Overactive Bladder Syndrome as a result of this managed by tablets, apparently it is a lifelong thing now as there is no actual cure for Overactive bladder syndrome.
Ewwww! Yecch! Those stockings! Loved her "not really hostile" interaction with Tom Owen. 1928, same age as my mother.
I think someone else famous is buried or was cremated there, but can't think who at the moment.
I'm not sure either 🤔
@@GraveInterest I am sure that actress Shirley Stelfox, aka the first Rose, sister of Hyacinth Bucket in Keeping Up Appearances is the person you may be thinking of. If memory serves, her grave is very close to that of Kathy Staff. Shirley Stelfox was a Dukinfield girl.
@@lorraines6914 Oh thanks for that, I shall investigate 👍😎
well i never, i only live around the corner, will pay her a visit and place some flowers for all the loughs i had.
Rip to them
You’d think she’d have a larger grave for who she was
I looked in the field very closely but I didn't see the duck
Do you know where William Hartnell or Patrick Troughton are buried? They both played the Doctor in Doctor Who.
William Hartnell was cremated at the Kent & Sussex Cemetery and Crematorium. Patrick Troughton was also cremated, his ashes were scattered at Bushy Park at Teddington London.
@@GraveInterest Thank you for your quick response, very welcome, and I'm delighted. I didn't know they were cremated, interesting indeed, I knew Jon Pertwee was cremated and he's in Putney cemetery. What about Doris Hare? She played mum in 'On the Buses' , she was born in my home town of Bargoed in 1905.
Doris Hare was also cremated her ashes were given to her family
Why would you want to go all that way and trouble to look at someone's grave let them rest in peace 🙏
Why did you watch the video ?
Thanks for watching & commenting anyway 👍
Could u find we’re compo was buried please
Here you go mate 👍 ua-cam.com/video/wagmVF8oXqw/v-deo.html
@@GraveInterest thank u
F gggk
was she not a cleaner in cross roads
I think she was
The way that people regard soap opera and comedy stars as realistic practitioners of their idea of religion is quite distressing. All right Kathy Staff was a good actress but she was not a saint and her character never existed.
