      I think it should be possible to use a Dremel to make holes at the bottom of the glass so the wire doesn't come out at the top. That would look even better.

    Kirby -- I *love* your videos. I've been struggling with a project (a home theater where I want a certain level of quality, aesthetics, and budget) which I'm finding hard to buy. Plus, I really enjoy building my own things and have some experience and tools for woodwork and electronics. That's how I found your channel and have been a fan for the past few weeks. A little idea you might appreciate (and might have already thought of by now): Instead of putting the piece of cloth under the lid, how about instead having a bigger piece of cloth on the outside of the lid and tie it neatly around the top of jar with a piece of string, to give it that classic jam filled Mason jar style look?
    That would hide the screws, the piece of wood and the gap created by the lid from the thicker wood piece, not to mention the wire coming out of the top, all while ensuring an authentic look. Perhaps that would also need a strawberry jam red paint on the inside of the jar to finish the look... Oh, and a label saying "Strawberry Jam"! Haha.
    Damn, now I wanna make a pair of these! Thanks for the great videos.

    Another great build! The artistic production value is great! Love the music, but don't be afraid of a little voice over. For my taste, it's more engaging that way. But I love this project! Have you thought about adding some LED's to the inside of the jar? Maybe come addressable color changing LED's with a small Arduino set up that changes the LED's with the music? That would look amazing through the opaque glass!
    Keep up the good work!!!

      Shubham Patankar depends on what bulb you use. I would use a 150-250 ohm resistor on a normal led bulb. You could also use a uv-meter? If it is more for party, then there is a video out. The video is nicely detailed, so do not woory about that.

    • @simonaarekol3336
      @simonaarekol3336 7 років тому

      Shubham Patankar if you are to use led bulbs, then you must remember to put a new resistor each bulb, or else it won't shine bright at all... Put the resistor on the plus, but you do not need to worry about the minus. You can wire all minus together

    After watching the build video of Kirby's "Firefly Jar Bluetooth Speaker", which has the same driver, I made a simulation in BoxSim with this kit and designed two possible correction networks to even improve the sound quality. Those networks will fit here as well. Look here in my video: ua-cam.com/video/5aSvS5Ae1As/v-deo.html&index=2 Or on my blog: laubrecher.wordpress.com/2017/11/30/modification-for-kirbymeetsaudios-firefly-jar-speaker

      Battery to input of step-up board then output of step up board to the input of amp. pretty straightforward.

    You are using a bluetooth amp board with an annoying voice prompt. "The bluetooth deevice ees reedy to pehh", "The bluetooth deevice ees connected ah successfullehh". Nice build though.
