As a European, I find it hard to understand why Americans dont want what the rest of the developed world enjoys in terms of basic human benefits. Republicans scream socialism, but that is so completely wrong. What is wrong with the goverment investing in the individual and country for the benefits of every one and for corporations to have educated, healty resurces.
Most Americans do want a different life in this country. Our founding fathers drew up a constitution to prevent popular will. They wrote a document to dilute democracy, to protect property (slavery) and prevent change. Short of a violent revolution, which btw they made very difficult by dispersing power, we are trapped with an outdated political arrangement that we can't change. I admire Bernie Sanders, his humanity, his decency, but am frustrated by his political naïvety in thinking that change in America can come about through democratic and peaceful means. The billionaires in this country would rather fund a sociopathic wanna-be dictator to receive lower tax rates and less regulation for their rapaciousness. Many will read my comment and say that America has made great reforms, like abolishing slavery. I retort that the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments to the constitution were only possible because 11 slave owning states chose to secede from the Union and forfeit representation in Congress. Had those states not tried to secede and remained within the Union, America would have retained slavery well into the 20th century until our trading partners' pressure and boycott threats would probably have resulted in swapping slavery for legalized and constitutionally entrenched apartheid. Similarly the civil rights reforms in the 60's were possible because the rich were not threatened and could co-opt aspiring African-Americans into the American system-looking at you Obama.

They wrote a document to dilute democracy, to protect property (slavery) and prevent change. I retort that the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments to the constitution were only possible because 11 slave owning states chose to secede from the Union and forfeit representation in Congress. Had those states not tried to secede and remained within the Union, America would have retained slavery well into the 20th century until our trading partners' pressure and boycott threats would probably have resulted in swapping slavery for legalized and constitutionally entrenched apartheid. Similarly the civil rights reforms in the 60's were possible because the rich were not threatened and could co-opt aspiring African-Americans into the American system-looking at you Obama.

The purpose of your life is to be born again by the holy spirit and to find Jesus Christ, he is the alpha and the omega and no man comes to the father but by him, he is loving kind and patient.
If you try to find satisfaction and happiness in materialistic stuff and stuff outside of God, you will not find it, Jesus Christ can fix anyone’s struggles.
I encourage you to become a follower of Jesus and to make Jesus lord of your life, if everyone lived like Jesus Christ, picked up their cross everyday, and follow his word this world would have no wars and corruption.
Ministry of the Word and Dan Purden provide great deliverance and discipleship if you need it, they also offer prayer and great ministry. A good bible to read is the King james. NIV and ESV are recommended also.
