This was so so good, Kevin. Absolutely brilliant. ♥
Hi Scott love the art
@@king_joker4689 Thank you so much! ♥
@@ssavaart Love the Art!
i didint expect you here but still lots of love !
Hi Scott!!
Kevin, your art is not just masterful use of technology. It's much more than that: Endless creativity, unimaginable dedication and delicious poetry. This is what happens sometimes when an adult person has not forgotten he once was a child. And it's very rare.
What a compliment! Wonderfully said. I really appreciate it
@@kevinbparry you didn't answer my comment 😒 😑 I am disappointed 😔 😞 I thought you'd be a lot more than that
@@muhsinmukhtar3943 he doesn't have time to reply to all tens of thousands of comments.
…aaaand if you were a magician, you could do all these live, in the same sequence no cuts, no AI, no editing. But, not to worry, you are a tech wizard! And, either way, you’d still need Your Lovely Assistant.😊
Your ability to maintain facial expressions is the most impressive part for me tbh, you keep very specific facial changes, and have a huge amount of control over your face muscles which is honestly crazy.
If you're impressed with that look at jim carrey doing the grinch face
@@cherriemaesicad8830
Jim Carrey is annoying AF
Don't play poker with him.

Thank you for sharing this with us! The AI-interpolation part was what explained most for me. The cuts seemed so perfectly smooth, almost not human :) Great job, Kevin!
How to add that AI ?
@@Aditya.Pandey. It honestly looks very similar to the Morph Cut function in Premiere

The initial video was awesome. But after watching all the creativity, production, editing skills, and time that made it all possible, my appreciation for what you do is just through the roof! Thank you for sharing! Very inspirational!
Now I want to see a magician recreate this video but without any editing! 😄
They say “a magician never reveals his secrets”. But Kevin does because he is so confident that he will never show similar magic again and surprise everyone with a unique one. Hats off to you for ideating and executing that masterpiece 🤩🤩
it's because he's not a magician. He said this at the beginning.
He’s not a magician tho
Thats because magicians dont exist
@@Epoilable They technically do, they just use optical illusions and visual tricks to do it.
he never revealed the shirt
50% is the idea and vfx skills, the other 50% is the ability to control your movements so precisely that you get usable results and because you're so good at the first half AND the 2nd half, which is basically acting, these videos come out perfect. You have a gift for performance art!!
And 100% concentrated power of will
10% luck
The sfx too!
The most magical thing about this is your wife's patience

I think one of the most underrated skills you have is being able to hold very still and repeat motions very well, so a lot of these editing tricks are easier to do for you in post. Just so impressive, though, all of it!
yeah i guess
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I see you. The real trick was getting people to believe transposition was separate from teleportation and that you actually had 10 items in your list.
I'm going to have to watch again, because now the balloon deflating is the most impressive part. I'm sure I saw a balloon deflate (or I was) but that means you animated it, as we never saw a balloon deflate in your top-down shot. Alternatively, it could be simply that the sound effect made me think I saw it deflate!
The real magic is a loving supportive partner 🥰
This is a masterclass at video editing trickery and really showcases perfectly the importance of planning! So good Kevin!
I've wondered how you did it and I'm blown away to find out it's a continuous shot (kinda) but that somehow makes a lot more sense!
Your wife's help and expressions were also great! 😂
I'm inspired!

Lego magic soon, Tiago??
Thank you Tiego for calling it "video editing trickery" and not "magic".
Seeing your name here was surprising
Hello
The true magic is your willingness and generosity to share by revealing everything. Huge respect!
the phrase “with the magic of editing…” is the embodiment of this video 👌🏽
You are a very talented video maker, and you and your wife are the real team.
I’ve been dabbling in trick camera work since I was a kid in the 90s with nothing but a VHS camcorder, so it’s always fun to see how these effects are done so well. Great guide video!
I just discovered this channel and I’m in love. I LOVE seeing how things work and how things are made(the show how it’s made is my jam). Thank you for this 🙏
Really well done. The transition between poses so helps to keep everything together.
That After Effects project is filthy, but the result is amazing. Truly a wizard to make the explanation more magical than the illusion.
I think you are leaving out your insane body control and sense of magic. Lots of life hours went into this besides the edit! Incredible. Thanks for sharing.
the fact that all the movements line up is the real magic. This man's muscle memory and movement precision is on point! Even with the A.I. its impressive
It isn't muscle memory. He is just using very basic and quick movements that are easily covered up in editing. He doesn't even move to get the objects. Someone is literally right there handing them to him so he can stay in one spot. How is that impressive?
@@SgtSupaman Can you do it then?
@@aRogueJosh , what kind of an idiotic question is that? Yes, I have basic motor skills and could do this. So can you.
@SgtSupaman a sensible question is what it is. Sure you *can* do it, but will you? Will you go through the many *many* takes and failed tries till all your movements line up perfectly between cuts? I'm impressed by his effort and talent. If you're not, then so what? (Also throwing pebbles at my "grammer" is base)
@@aRogueJosh , first, I didn't say anything about your grammar; all I did was answer your question, so I have no clue where you are getting that from. Second, he shows us in this very video that all he had to do was write down the steps so he could do it all continuously. He didn't do take after take. Again, the movements are all super simple and easy to mask. You, me, and anyone else could have done all those movements and been able to mask them with editing in just a single take. Is the end result creative and fun to watch? Yes. Is it an impressive display of skill? Absolutely not.
LOVED THIS SO MUCH!!!! ❤❤❤ No idea who you are or what you do on UA-cam, but was fascinated the entire time!!! Happy this was randomly suggested! :)
Unbelievable, you worked so hard editing the video in 168 layers.I Salute you.❤

Kevin, Your work has always sparked so much creativity in me. Thanks, man!
Thank you very much for sharing this, brother! I saw the original video and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to know how you made it, but I didn't think you were going to give us the behind-the-scenes!
The amount of work put into this for a minute long video is amazing
@Justin-Cook
Be
WOW the awareness of how the editing needs to go and acting accordingly to the script is still amazing.
Watching this, I can see the pride on your face as you talk about this. Keep it up
Kevin Parry I absolutely loved this video! Thank you for creating such quality videos!
Love this breakdown, Kevin. The pencil balloon bit baffled me. Nicely done.
This man is TOO creative!!! And i love it 😊
Hey Kevin, new subscriber here! I am not a videographer and know nothing about After Effects (or any other video-editing apps or modalities), but I actually really *liked* the "technical explanations", and wouldn't mind seeing you explain more! Between your skills, AI, and the amazing way the human brain perceives (or doesn't perceive!) what our eyes see, I find more magic in your videos than in just seeing live illusions. Thank you for the fun (and education) you bring!
Honestly, the first time I saw the video I thought Kevin was just really good at magic.
Thanks for sharing the magic us KP! What Ai interpolation program did you use? Or was it something inside of After Effects?
The pencil through balloon is close to plausible. If the balloon isn't fully inflated and you're quick, you can drive a needle through and out the other side without popping it. The skin will naturally be thickest at the mouth and the opposite end. You can then pull a string with the needle and thread it through the center of the balloon. I've done this before as a party trick. I imagine a pencil is too large for the latex to seal around compared to a needle. I didn't think that *all* of the tricks were props and editing magic. Very impressive!
I always wanted a magician to reveal his tricks and now it finally happened
now explain how to get a Wife pls
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Always killin it. All the editing is so smooth and seamless and it’s such a cool video!
Beautifully done ! Hats off to your dedication and creativity!

It's probably the best I've ever seen as well, but there is another guy who has done a lot of videos that are at least pretty close if not on par. Look up Zach King magic if you like this sort of thing..

It is One of my favourite videos of the year. So good 👍
Thanks for explaining it. That's really interesting and a very good short video👍
If there's one thing I realized watching this video, it's the importance of having a very supportive and cooperative companion when filming camera tricks like this. I wish I have a wife who is so supportive as Kevin's.
Yeah, the blends were extremely smooth, but some were still noticeable enough to tell the tricks were done with clever editing.
Thank you for explaining, only saw the original just before I watched this, but it's still very impressive work.
That's so amazing! Loved the video when I first saw it, now that the secrets have been revealed, I love it even more.
So inspiring. Great work!
Vi este video en TT muchas veces y simplemente tengo para decir que eres un monstruoooo 👏🏻
I just saw the first video and was very impressed. Thanks for providing the answers so close to it.
I am so very impressed. I know a lot of magic but wish I was able to edit so well! Really seamless.
Genios!!! Gran trabajo de ambos!!!
im just as impressed with the editing as the original video when i thought it was "standard" magic .. im learning 3ds max at the moment, and boy editing can make alot of things today
Wonderfully detailed and brilliant video, Kevin! I just recently discovered the wonders of the "Morph Cut" (in Premier Pro) and it works the way you describe more generically the AI software interpolation. It did an amazingly good job of seamlessly covering the cutting out of 15 seconds in the middle of a locked off, talking head interview. Thanks for the inspiration!
the cool thing is, the pencil through ballon trick can actually work if you stick it in to the thicker parts.
That is planning and lots of effort. Congrats!!
Brilliant! I watched the first video around 20 times and still never saw the shirt change colour... Now I know why... Excellent job and explanation.
What a Wonderful patience you have for creating this video however there is None doubts for doing this so thanks you so much I need to watch this to inspirasyon myself mode.!
This was great because you were giving the example for each type.
It seems very complicated!!
Great job!! 👏👏
This is what you can achieve with great planning and remarkable editing skills! Well done!
That was really cool and definitely not too technical! Very interesting to understand more about it!
Amazing! It's even more impressive now that we can see how you did it! Did you have to do any sound editing or foley? The sounds on all your videls are so good, and they really help sell your visuals as reality.
I noticed first watch that the shirt was a different color at the end, but I didn't know how it changed.
Second watch I realised it was a very slightly shifting gradient.
Great job! Enjoyed both vids.
Wonderful, a very clear and also very enthusiastic video! Thank you
I seen this on some other channel that was reviewing it and knew about the shirt change but when I seen the prediction this time, I STILL didn't notice the shirt change. He got me twice. LOL. Very clever video editing!
what a mad man :D
the arm movements have to be so precise
Amazing work. Thanks for sharing with us.
Great work! Love this!
genius! Está hecho tan bien, que cuando dices al final del video que no notamos el cambio de color, más de uno volvio el short atrás para verlo por segunda vez, excelente enganche
I loved the video! And I loved that we learned the magicians secrets too! Thanks.
This makes it feel even more magical
The only thing the AI and you missed were the crinkles of your shirt by your right elbow and there is a facial change during the pencil/balloon trick. Other than those it looks great.
Thanks man, giving the explanation.. it's inspiring....
The original and the explanation are absolutely amazing!!
Omg, I love this so much!! Thank you for sharing this video 😭🙌❤️
