I don’t think you can beat a denim jacket. I have a light blue one, which I wear with different tea dresses, and also black trousers and a top. Also a white one which I take on holiday, because it goes with everything for when it’s a bit chilly at night.

I love the light blue of the cardigan, it’s one of my favorite colors to wear, so flattering. I follow your tip of wearing quite short sweaters and tops (or tucking these in), it really flatters my figure by showing my long, slender legs and slim hips. I think the big, long tunic top over skinny trousers look is very frumpy, not to mention outdated by 20 years. It doesn’t show the female shape, instead making us look like a brick on two stick legs. “Cropped” tops forever! On my petite body, most of these just cover my waistband - I don’t want to show torso skin at age 63. Definitely, all top garments must end above the hipbones, if not waist.
Cream is such a wonderful color, it's rich and warm. Lovely video. Lots of inspo!!

I'm losing weight already🎉 now I feel better wearing my beautiful Wardrobe! And I'm also adding more to my Swimwear collection too!👌 This last year I found some more Classic pieces just like I like..now the swimwear this year I noticed is starting to get a little weird again?
Oh! I did a bad thing- I went and bought several of the pieces online. The pants in black - gorgeous! That mohair sweater- to die for! H & M always has some nice things! Loved your haul!! Do this again please!

I like this video. I’m fairly new to H & M (thanks to you, Deirdre). Last spring, I purchased a few foundation pieces (t-shirts & camisoles) to supplement my wardrobe and they worked out well for me. I have had a few missteps and returned a fair amount of items. I quickly learned that I need to be very careful when purchasing trousers and shirts. Unfortunately, H & M doesn’t carry petite sizes.

Deirdre - you are great at styling and giving me ideas, however I would not buy most of the items you suggest as many of them are mixed fabrics (so good for bobbling) and with quite a bit of plastic in the material content.
Loved your ideas and styling, but especially your pacing. It was interesting and you moved through perfectly quickly without a lot of fluff. Wonderful!

Deirdre you give us such wonderful tips and wear to buy things. I have light glue stripped shirt and is one of my favorites. The cream and black stripped shirt is very classy especially with a black blazer also. The sweater looks so cozy and soft. You give us so many flattering ides to consider. Thank you for sharing

I am a fan of H& m especially as i don't live in the Uk and other than designer stores there are not so many decent chain stores where i live. There is zara and h and m. About 12 years ago now i was a bit lost with fashion. I purchased some classics from h and m which would you believe i still have in excellent condition and still wear today!!

But they are out of stock.

Deirdre, can I ask your opinion regarding the trending boucle jackets. How can you style them if you have a larger bust? When I've tried them on , they just don't look right. Love your content btw.
Thank you for a great video again. You picked the best pieces from H & M. I have an issue with wide leg trousers, however, as I don't think they are at all flattering whatever your size. I have noticed that many of the News and weather presenters on TV have followed this trend, and quite honestly they all look awful in them! Maybe it's because they stand quite still so all you see is a bulk of material. Are they more flattering when in motion? What's your view Deirdre? Have you seen what I mean? I love all other trousers shapes but would never wear this trend. Thanks again Maralyn xx
I feel that for someone like myself who has absolutely no width to my hips,but has a tummy,and rear end which are prominent,wide leg pants are great,they hang from the waist,and I find that very slimming.When you have very slim hips,pants are not made for you,as most women aren’t built that way,to fit well you need to have them custom fit,and that’s expensive as it’s major reconstruction of a garment.When pants for me fit at the waist,I have rolls of fabric on my sides in the hip area.So yes I think wide leg pants are for some people.
I think the same about wide leg trousers, just can't take to them.
Wish HM Canada sold a better quality and variety of clothing.
Seems the European styles are not sold here.

I agree, Florida is usually warm, but this winter it has been chilly! I looking for sweaters, and especially like the cardigans and ones I can throw over my shoulders. Very convenient if the weather changes during the day. Love the tulips behind you 😀

I love all the pieces you showed especially the shoes you bought. Unfortunately I cannot wear heels anymore as I broke one foot twice in 2 different places behind my toes. Do you have any low wedge favorites that would be good for more dressed up occasions? Made me sick when I had to give away 15 pairs of heels!

It’s hard to resist the “Lady Jacket/Cardigan” trend, I especially love the knitted, cardigan nee because they’re comfy enough to wear indoors. My favorite is Sezane’s Betty Cardigan, because it has a collar, which I love. I just ordered another one, in the light pink, I couldn’t “help it”! I just got a pretty cream and taupe striped one from Abercrombie, too, but the fabric is inferior to Sezane’s 100% Merino wool. I hope I can tolerate the partly synthetic fiber content.
I adore these styles of jacket or cardigan too, Kimberly. One of my most treasured possessions in my wardrobe is my Gaspard cardigan from Sezane! Xx
Some influencers are touting only dark wash jeans for 2024; for spring and summer I like light wash, faded jeans, no holes or rips, etc. so can I wear my light ones (which are cooler for spring and summer) or do I have to do dark?
Super dark and light are in. It is the medium washes are out now.
Deidre, As usual a great video. I seriously feel like emptying my wardrobe and starting again following your advice. It's a bit hard as I am 'curvy' and have lost height due to spinal fractures. So this fat, short woman wants to stArt again.
Beige suede is hard to keep clean, & h&m never has my sizesin anything. Too bad because prices seem reasonable.
