Wow. That ending hit me hard. I needed to hear that. I’ve been struggling to understand my self worth. Rarely do you walk away from a standup with something you needed, other than a good laugh. Thank you, sir. You definitely made a fan out of me for life. I appreciate you very much.
2 years later, this dude is still fucking fearless. I loved this special. He's just on the right side of the line we all draw between what we'll tell people and what's actually true about ourselves.
Still working on that budget! Thanks for watching and I hope you listen to my podcast the #thruline, you get a little bit of me every week. You can also listen to my channel on Pandora or Spotify. Thanks for listening!
I enjoyed this so much I didn’t even realize it had been an hour! The ending though...my dad left when I was 6 and I didn’t hear from him for 11 years. He actually did keep tabs on me and my sister as we grew up, but it offended and hurt me more than anything to find out. A distant relative I didn’t even know existed had been filling my dad in on my life through the years; I couldn’t understand how he could talk about me, but never to me. The ending got me.
FUDDLEYP JONES My dad and I have talked at great lengths about the past and his actions. I do understand why he left and I am beyond grateful for the way life happened. My mom handled his leaving beautifully; she never spoke ill of my dad and knew he would contact us again one day, so she left our house phone in service with the same number (he called that same number after all those years). My dad speaks highly of my mother and still loves her. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have both parents, and I see so many great fathers who are being kept from their kids. It breaks my heart for those men. I agree, all you can do is love your daughter from afar and be there when she comes around, and she will. I don’t know if you like to write, but I would suggest keeping an open letter to your daughter and writing in it as often as you think about her. Then one day you can give/send it to her so she knows how much you think about her and wish she was in your life.

@@JayLarsonComedy Jay, I loved it so much as well, as you've maybe seen from my multiple comments. Sometimes in the bit you even had that Ricky Gervais look and feel, but with the Larson touch. Donnie! You're sweet. In all honesty they were amazing. The room was big and when you produce your own special budget is definitely a limit. And one of those limits was crowd miss. When a giant network produces a special the y mic the hell out of the audience. Hoping next time we can go the extra mile for that. I also think the next special will be in a much more intimate environment! Appreciate you watching and continue to support.

when comedy exceeds every other form of communication.
Listening while working; couldn't believe it was over. Good stuff. Touching. Relatable (I'm a 50 something Black woman; go figure).
Let me tell you something!!! At my core I am a 50 something back woman! I appreciate you watching and following, hope I get to your city on tour soon!
He has one of my favorite bits of all time. Check out the unknown caller bit. Absolutely hilarious.
Supposedly plagiarised but that's why I'm here, the viral vid on fb, and I'm running out of comedians to watch, my faves are dead 🤨 no new George Carlin or Mitch Hedberg specials
Thanks man, my favorite too! Appreciate the hell out of you for taking this in. And hope you tune into my podcast The #Thruline each week, gives you a little bit more of me!
UA-cam finally recommended me something worth watching, I've become a life long fan of this guy
Best thing to come out of Boston in a while
Kris Wage ever heard of bill burr
So many great comics out of Boston, super proud to be a guy from boston who does comedy. I started in Los Angeles but love going back to perform in Boston. I appreciate the love. Obviously you know Burr and Dane but also check out Josh Gondleman, Don Gavin and Gary Gullman, his new special is great and his joke about the abbreviations of the states is amazing!
Jay you tell a story that comes across true in such a candid manner. And your jokes along the trip that is your story bring light to such darkness. - sincerely your new biggest fan! I hope you come to Canada soon
jay larson special " someone had to say it"
Congratulations on a 1 million views
"She was pretty weak" 💀💀
Man this has the old school stand up feel to it great show
his wife probably slapped him after the show lololol
Respects Jay for that ending. Been watching your material for some years now. Glad to have watched this!
The crowd sucked. Should have gotten more laughs.
@@JayLarsonComedy thanks for the reply! Keep up the awesome comedy.
I Guess you didn’t watch to the end, because they loved him.
And I usually notice that kind of thing, but it didn’t occur to me because he was so great!
@@1chrismj I did. As he said, crowd mic wasn't the best. So for alot of parts you don't hear that big of a reaction from the crowd. He cleared it up though 👍
Actually I loved the crowd. They were genuine, friendly, funny and the stand ovations at the end are real ones, so they loved it as much as we couch watchers did, I'm sure 😁❤
all over the map.... you a damn funny man
Channel 1 chopper caught up to that hit and run.
They always on their game! Feaster Nation I see you! Hope you are Thrulining as well!!!
i loved it. so funny and very sweet at the end, the moment with your son. really, a great special. thank you.
First 9 mins feels like a burnout dad
Hysterical!!! I have watched 2 of your specials. Amazing! Thank you
Oh god I sleep like that too 😂😂😂
LOL! So many women do I feel. Thanks for watching.
Nightpants nation reporting in.
2 bears brought me here
I love this special! Jay puts his heart into it, dont he?
The end had me in tears. Who am I?
You're human bro! thanks for watching, that bit took a lot for me to do and I am glad it had an affect on you.
Probably one of the most under-rated comics. This guys joke writing is on point. He has a lot of material. A lot!
