I agree with your unpopular bookish opinions. I HATE cartoon covers. I’m 50 years old. Book covers are the closest I’m going to get to a 6 pack of abs. I’m also tired of Taylor Swift and Harry Styles references in books. I’m too old for that shit. They’re definitely directed to a different generation.

For whoever asked the Make It Or Break It Question, I would say Off Balance is not very much like the show. In the show everyone we see in the gym is an Olympic hopeful but in the books only Ria is an Olympic hopeful so there’s definitely not the level of team dynamics we see in the show or even friendship\drama with the other girls. We see a little bit of a few other girls at the gym but even throughout all the books we don’t see a ton of development there.
Now where they are similar, I would say the level of gymnastics shown is very similar and Ria and Kova do have essence of Payson and Sasha. I also think that one of the characters in the book gives a little bit of Carter vibes.
Would definitely recommend the Off Balance series if you liked Make It Or Break It though.
