Not sure if you've done this yet, but if you go back to the glide challenge (at about 16:00) and do it again, you get a great piece of clothing. You just did the trial run the first time. Edit: Never mind, I see you got it in a few episodes.
I don't know why it got stuck in the shrine with the fans. All you really need are two fans and it lifts you up. Very weird. Anyway, still loving this playthrough.
