I love the idea of an Evercade arcade cabinet, but I am _not_ interested in something at a mini-scale. These are going to be about 250 USD. I would much rather spend around double that and get something much more close to a full size arcade cabinet.
Mini cabinets are cute gimmicks but they are gimmicks. They _will_ spend almost all their time being unused, taking up shelf or counterspace. Ask me how I know! haha
Intellivision Entertainment: We just lost the identity of our entire brand! Blaze: Neat! We're releasing tiny arcade machines now!
Those prices are pretty much on par with the lower-end 1-Up Arcade cabinets, fwiw.
If you read the comment section for their reveal trailer for these, people don't seem to be happy about this and as an evercade collector myself, I am going to pass on this one.
I’m SO tempted to get the Mega Man one, but man, the price is steep. Also, 16 inches seems really small for a “Bar Top” unit.
I'm going to pre-order the Mega Man one, those arcade Mega Man games are hard to find in a format like this...
You’d love to see them do a 3/4 arcade machine, akin to Arcade 1Up.
Regardless, if these get released in Australia, I’ll put down coin…
I wish the techno's cart came with WWF superstars and WWF wrestlefest.
My Arcade and Arcade 1Up has similar products with similar games. My Arcade has the Micro Players which aren't much smaller than these. I don't find these as a barcade size. More like a desktop size. Arcade 1Up has larger counter cades, and for the same cost or more, you can get a larger arcade style and sized unit. I love you can insert the Evercade carts in them, but I have the EXP, Pocket and VS, so need to own this unit for me.
Hm, interesting. Need some images around other objects for scale.
Yeah the Namco carts were only licensed to play on handheld not on home consoles.
im not interested in the current 2 cabs. this is probably why the new handheld does not include the built in capcom games the XP came with. not all the built in games are in these cabs but it doesn't mean they are not hidden or will come out later
I'm in the same boat as you. I like these cabinets, but I'll pass and still be content with my VS.
Those look nice, but they’re out of my price range as well. I have Carrier Air Wing on my Switch, and it’s kind of like a prequel to U.N. Squadron.
Here is a idea for a evercade bartop unit.
A Nintendo playchoice 10 bartop (like the original one) but have it pre loaded with all the Nintendo playchoice 10 games released for it. 🙂
how about a full sized arcade cabinet that you can use evercade cartridge's on?
I could see treating these as really stylish, Evercade VS consoles. But no HDMI output kinda ruins that. Oh well.
I'll get one. I don't own any arcade cab replicas, so I'll skip the new VS and EXP in favor of the Alpha.
Arcade cabinet masterrace
@@edwardmclaughlin719, ok. Guess you win.
@@edwardmclaughlin719, I think everything's pricey. I don't own every limited edition shiny object that comes out like a lot of collectors do. I don't have an EXP, and I own zero Arcade 1-Ups. So I'm going to spring for this.
@@edwardmclaughlin719 I'm not preordering, though. I'll wait for the reviews. And then a Funstock sale or something one day. 😂
Can you link them for 2 player?
You'll play them for 5 mins and it will collect dust. Ask yourself this: How many times do you want to buy these same freely available games over and over again in different formats? Don't fall into the trap of overpaying for retro games just because companies find new ways of selling them to you. In other words, don't get "cucked" by corporations.
If you can’t hook it up to Wi-Fi for updates, I don’t want it
You can.
Watch the video dude.
