I’m a Oregon native and man I loved every second of your video thank you I can’t wait to get out and start foraging this was amazing to see and learn thank you 🙏 😊
So looks like you were more close to coastal area where the weather is more wet, aren’t you? Is it possible to find it in Bend OR? 😅 when is truffle season?
Whenever im out elk hunting i see a bunch of mushrooms here in SW Washington great video I will now have to look for some, I have a place at the coast might have to look there also.
if you use a dog to find the truffle, you can obtain more truffles, because the dog find only mature truffles . If you use you're sistem you break the truffles roots, ruining the plants
Oh my goal one day is to get a dog so I can Hunt the problem where I hunt for truffles is its state property and every two or three years it's all gone. So I always have to always look for new spots.
Just watch the great show with Mike Rowe on somebody's got to do it about a fellow that sells high-end truffles from France Italy and Australia to restaurants there in the Big Apple. How do Oregon truffles rate compared to Truffles from Europe and Australia
sorry I can’t share this spot. But I can share another spot with you that I found black truffles and white truffles. So you go to Kings Valley by Dallas Oregon you take Bear Creek Road, second bridge you park on the left-hand side there’s a Gate is a logging road, to the left of that road I found black truffles and white truffles good spot. I don’t know the elevation of the top of my head but I’ll look it up for you. What you want to look for is about 10 to 12 inch diameter for trees and a semi clean forest ground.
@@gongfan5181 Sorry I just read my comment not Kings Valley ,Falls city. But truffle season is over. Truffle start in end of the fall and it goes to about December January. Right now the mushrooms that are coming up our morals and the bolete mushroom. And you want to look for those in the sisters area Camp Sherman subtle lake, any park in that area you’ll find those especially in the recent fire areas.
O boo hoo he is covering them up and not harming the roots he is very carefully removing the top coat of fallen leaves and needles. Quit giving the guy a hard time in a few years it will be a clear cut with new trees planted then you can cry your little river about the environment.
RAKES! Your destroying the forest floor and harvesting truffles that might not yet be ready for harvesting. Damit man, get a dog and train it to hunt Truffles. It's not that hard. Hell there is a video of a woman who actually trained her Chihuaha to hunt Truffles. It's hilarious. Hopefully you're no longer destroying the forest floor.
Oh I learned something for sure. You don’t wanna give up that spot
lol, unfortunately, the spot doesn't exist anymore because login.

@@vasilyboyechko4688 Hi, I checked google map but it seems Bear Creek Rd is a road to the coast, not King Valley. Could you double check?

@@gongfan5181 sorry. Black rock Road. In fall city Oregon.
👍
Your truffle hunting the Chinese way. Destroying the very nature that produces them.
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
This is the worst way to do it. Your destroying the ecosystem and all the micro life in the soil and all other potential truffle

Hey, I know , sad but it's state property so they log it, that forest where I was at is long gone now, so I can't go there anymore.
Why can he keep coming back then?
Almost seems like he's helping the ecosystem by picking the fruit.
