It really shouldn't be surprising. UA-cam's "deep concern" for things like doxxing, threats, and harassment that they "take very seriously" only ever seems to come into play when it's either YT officials who are on the receiving end (even satirically as in The Act Man's case) or when the channel doing it isn't big enough to be an issue should they remove it. Quantum certainly wasn't the first to abuse the system, and as seen with the recent SSSniperWolf drama, he certainly wasn't the last.

Just want to point out that Elden Ring does have a way to guide you to the next Rune/Major Boss. It's that golden trail that arcs from a Grace, it always "points" to the next Grace in the straightest line to one of the Greater Runes. You can see it on the map, too.
It also had a lock on which was a single button press, if he couldn't figure that out you really think he can pick up on the grace? Also from memory it's Varre who actually mentions the grace direction mechanic and quantum attacked him cutting off the dialogue.
I was there for this whole thing as I am a fan of The Act Man. Boy this video goes so much more deeper than what I knew and was so wild when i first watched this way back. Its a real treat into the self destruction of someone and the metaphoric end of his life all due to a game he didnt play. As of The Last of Us content in the chat, there is no real problem aside from the storyline being wonky. Its just that it came out during the peak of the LGBT Twitter crazy time and was just a pawn in the social war. Right was saying its an affront, Left making it their idol and martyr. My take is that the game wasn't the story we wanted, it was 'feel sympathy for the 'villain' and revenge solves nothing story' even though you are slaughtering a literal army for revenge only to dip out at the last second. But people wanted an fully Ellie pov getting revenge for Joel.
I've stuck around longer than most people, so I'm kinda disappointed in Joon's vid because he skipped over a LOT of details that would have given more context to the events. 6/10 if I were to review it from a critical lens, but I like that it appeals to broader audiences.
I think the craziest bit is that in the Act man’s bad Eldin Ring takes video is that Quantum TV was only a small part of that video, as Act man was bringing in bad takes from all over for everyone to laugh at. Yet it was just that small passing moment to cause all this madness. Truly a pebble causing a landslide moment.

To be clear on The Last of Us 2: a WHOLE LOT of people got mad at and hated that game, but only a minority of losers (like Quantum) were mad about the lesbitisms. Most people were just really mad at the writing (as the storytelling is the main focus of the series), which was reeeaaally bad and seen as insulting to the first game by many Also massive credit to you for only reacting to videos from UA-camrs who explicitly give permission. Honestly that should be the industry standard and it’s a bit of a shame that doing so deserves special recognition, but credit where it’s due. Most people don’t bother to do that, and the fact that you do is really awesome

@@sloth-d3752 I haven't played LOU2, but I've heard that the standard complaint is that the pacing, writing, and plot of the story was very messy, and they had an interesting idea, that was executed horribly. Mainly, the idea would be the dangers of obsessing about revenge, and exploring the journey of Ellie, and Abbey, but they royally screwed up, not only did they kill off Joel insultingly (which could've been handled okay if they didn't completely fumble most of the narrative.) but they also made you hate Ellie, and Abbey. The anti revenge message fell flat because nobody wanted to spare Abbey, they wanted revenge against her, and they somehow made Ellie unlikeable, even though she was extremely likeable in the first game. Both sides were annoying with this game, some people on the right were talking about Ellie being gay being a problem, even though we already knew she was gay from the first games DLC, at the same time, it was really annoying how some people on the left were saying that if you criticized the game, you were a bigot, because clearly your problem with the game is that Ellie is gay, even if you actually had legitimate criticism. Like, the game is perfect, and a masterpiece to them, and any criticism is based on bigotry, even though by most accounts LOU2 was an absolute mess of a game. Yes, Faux progressivism is a problem, and annoying as hell, but Ellie is not an example of that, but it's also annoying when people hide behind identity, or a characters identity to avoid criticism, you can't criticize LOU2 because it's "perfect" and by that logic, your "real" problem is Ellie's sexuality, and you're trying to hide you're hatred of gay people. Extremists are just the worst kinds of people.

Like...it's hard to buy that Ellie has some massive crisis of conscience when it comes time to kill the central target of her rage after you've just finished using her to kill random mook #6327, or that sparing her enemy will end the cycle when she's created potentially hundreds of new Abbys in the process. Games that are really combat-heavy, or make it very likely that you'll end up fighting and killing human characters, probably aren't the best stories to use for that kind of message unless you actually acknowledge all of the OTHER people that the player character(s) have to kill their way through rather than just the one that's important to the story.

in case anyone wants to know, the controversy with TLOUS was not because the lgbt representation, that was only a small fraction of hate by a minority bigoted group that was blown up by news outlets. the main reason was the writing and the development that lead up to it. (personally i thought its introduction to the transgender character was really well done) long story short, the game company naughty dogs were not paying their employees, so the employees ended up self-sabotaging and leaking spoilers to threaten the studio into paying. also the writing sucked, the revenge plot line was too phoned in, too many plot holes, too many flashbacks, and people didnt like how Abby was introduced

I think the graphics thing Quantum is talking more on the actual graphical fidelity (how many pixels, god rays and raytracing is in a frame that stuff) of the game. Which in that case, yeah, he's right. From Soft is probably 5-8 years behind the market in that area. That said I think most people that look at a game and say, "graphics" mean more art direction. How are colors used? How is the landscape designed? How does the giant glowing tree draw the eye? What's the over all art style? I think art direction is way more important than graphics, and I think the word graphics isn't used properly. But I really feel that's what he meant with graphics. Doesn't stop this guy from being human garbage. I mean seriously opinions on a game are ultimately whatever and whenever your celebrating shootings you got some serious issues needing to be worked out.

By now my thought process has been that you had a lot of medical issues that came up during the beginning of the “genshin break” and I already never planned to say anything because i didn’t want you to feel pressured or like that was the only reason I and others followed you and I believe bringing it up can ruin the whole break, if you having it brought up it starts to fester, you get this feeling of anxiety similar to when you know you’re procrastinating but you want to put it off to rest a little bit but then it just stays in the back of your mind and you constantly get reminded of it. It turns the break into a slow torment of worry and anxiety and with how toxic the genshin community can get i rather you stay away from it for the time being while you’re taking care of your health because you need support and understanding and the genshin community is highly lacking in that regard. I’ve actually been rather content without knowing why you stopped and never picked it back up, I can think of many many reasons why you would and all are valid but also deep speculation will lead to a festering of curiosity that brings the desire to prey and ask questions and that’s something I want to avoid doing. So I was okay with just thinking “she didn’t enjoy it anymore and that’s that” as to why I’m okay not knowing but I know you would have a reasonable answer but it’s not my place to ask like that. I genuinely loved your personality so the lack of genshin didn’t really affect my enjoyment of your content, you actually always manage to put out content I’m highly interested, you’re not only funny and super charming but your so kind and really smart, sometimes you call yourself stupid but I like to call people similar to you “smarty aloof goof” and it’s something I find to be one of the best characteristic traits to have and all my favorite people have it.

It really shouldn't be surprising. UA-cam's "deep concern" for things like doxxing, threats, and harassment that they "take very seriously" only ever seems to come into play when it's either YT officials who are on the receiving end (even satirically as in The Act Man's case) or when the channel doing it isn't big enough to be an issue should they remove it. Quantum certainly wasn't the first to abuse the system, and as seen with the recent SSSniperWolf drama, he certainly wasn't the last.

Just want to point out that Elden Ring does have a way to guide you to the next Rune/Major Boss. It's that golden trail that arcs from a Grace, it always "points" to the next Grace in the straightest line to one of the Greater Runes. You can see it on the map, too.
It also had a lock on which was a single button press, if he couldn't figure that out you really think he can pick up on the grace? Also from memory it's Varre who actually mentions the grace direction mechanic and quantum attacked him cutting off the dialogue.
I was there for this whole thing as I am a fan of The Act Man. Boy this video goes so much more deeper than what I knew and was so wild when i first watched this way back. Its a real treat into the self destruction of someone and the metaphoric end of his life all due to a game he didnt play.
As of The Last of Us content in the chat, there is no real problem aside from the storyline being wonky. Its just that it came out during the peak of the LGBT Twitter crazy time and was just a pawn in the social war. Right was saying its an affront, Left making it their idol and martyr. My take is that the game wasn't the story we wanted, it was 'feel sympathy for the 'villain' and revenge solves nothing story' even though you are slaughtering a literal army for revenge only to dip out at the last second. But people wanted an fully Ellie pov getting revenge for Joel.
I've stuck around longer than most people, so I'm kinda disappointed in Joon's vid because he skipped over a LOT of details that would have given more context to the events. 6/10 if I were to review it from a critical lens, but I like that it appeals to broader audiences.
Didn't read the 2nd part; I think players wanted more of Joel, his death turned a lot of people off.
I think the craziest bit is that in the Act man’s bad Eldin Ring takes video is that Quantum TV was only a small part of that video, as Act man was bringing in bad takes from all over for everyone to laugh at. Yet it was just that small passing moment to cause all this madness. Truly a pebble causing a landslide moment.

@@sloth-d3752 I haven't played LOU2, but I've heard that the standard complaint is that the pacing, writing, and plot of the story was very messy, and they had an interesting idea, that was executed horribly. Mainly, the idea would be the dangers of obsessing about revenge, and exploring the journey of Ellie, and Abbey, but they royally screwed up, not only did they kill off Joel insultingly (which could've been handled okay if they didn't completely fumble most of the narrative.) but they also made you hate Ellie, and Abbey. The anti revenge message fell flat because nobody wanted to spare Abbey, they wanted revenge against her, and they somehow made Ellie unlikeable, even though she was extremely likeable in the first game. Both sides were annoying with this game, some people on the right were talking about Ellie being gay being a problem, even though we already knew she was gay from the first games DLC, at the same time, it was really annoying how some people on the left were saying that if you criticized the game, you were a bigot, because clearly your problem with the game is that Ellie is gay, even if you actually had legitimate criticism. Like, the game is perfect, and a masterpiece to them, and any criticism is based on bigotry, even though by most accounts LOU2 was an absolute mess of a game. Yes, Faux progressivism is a problem, and annoying as hell, but Ellie is not an example of that, but it's also annoying when people hide behind identity, or a characters identity to avoid criticism, you can't criticize LOU2 because it's "perfect" and by that logic, your "real" problem is Ellie's sexuality, and you're trying to hide you're hatred of gay people. Extremists are just the worst kinds of people.

Like...it's hard to buy that Ellie has some massive crisis of conscience when it comes time to kill the central target of her rage after you've just finished using her to kill random mook #6327, or that sparing her enemy will end the cycle when she's created potentially hundreds of new Abbys in the process.
Games that are really combat-heavy, or make it very likely that you'll end up fighting and killing human characters, probably aren't the best stories to use for that kind of message unless you actually acknowledge all of the OTHER people that the player character(s) have to kill their way through rather than just the one that's important to the story.

I think the graphics thing Quantum is talking more on the actual graphical fidelity (how many pixels, god rays and raytracing is in a frame that stuff) of the game. Which in that case, yeah, he's right. From Soft is probably 5-8 years behind the market in that area. That said I think most people that look at a game and say, "graphics" mean more art direction. How are colors used? How is the landscape designed? How does the giant glowing tree draw the eye? What's the over all art style? I think art direction is way more important than graphics, and I think the word graphics isn't used properly. But I really feel that's what he meant with graphics.

As someone who has narcissistic people in my own family. This is accurate. This is how they act. Victimizing themselves while trying to blame the people they are hurting. And yes, they are this fucking stupid and unhinged. I have watched my own family do this kind of shit.

I only knew him from his... instructive review of Elden Ring. To be honest not surprised about the things he has done. He sounded like someone who would do such things.

Found you from your genshin videos and I don’t believe I’ve ever asked when you’d upload a new genshin video or anything because I could tell you needed a break.
By now my thought process has been that you had a lot of medical issues that came up during the beginning of the “genshin break” and I already never planned to say anything because i didn’t want you to feel pressured or like that was the only reason I and others followed you and I believe bringing it up can ruin the whole break, if you having it brought up it starts to fester, you get this feeling of anxiety similar to when you know you’re procrastinating but you want to put it off to rest a little bit but then it just stays in the back of your mind and you constantly get reminded of it.
It turns the break into a slow torment of worry and anxiety and with how toxic the genshin community can get i rather you stay away from it for the time being while you’re taking care of your health because you need support and understanding and the genshin community is highly lacking in that regard.
I’ve actually been rather content without knowing why you stopped and never picked it back up, I can think of many many reasons why you would and all are valid but also deep speculation will lead to a festering of curiosity that brings the desire to prey and ask questions and that’s something I want to avoid doing.
So I was okay with just thinking “she didn’t enjoy it anymore and that’s that” as to why I’m okay not knowing but I know you would have a reasonable answer but it’s not my place to ask like that.
I genuinely loved your personality so the lack of genshin didn’t really affect my enjoyment of your content, you actually always manage to put out content I’m highly interested, you’re not only funny and super charming but your so kind and really smart, sometimes you call yourself stupid but I like to call people similar to you “smarty aloof goof” and it’s something I find to be one of the best characteristic traits to have and all my favorite people have it.
