I second the question about the Magic Flute sheet music. I have been searching for it for a long time. This is the first time I've seen someone play it aside from the original recording.
I had Seth Hamon make me a set of reeds for these pipes and it improved stability incredibly as well as extend playing time before moisture build-up made them gurgle-out. With those, I got dialed in a lot better. And you've got the playing skills that I don't have, haha
OK, you managed to wake me up! ;) But i'm afraid I don't have any sheet music either.. I learned the te tune by ear, from the original recordig by Martyn Bennett.
That is hilarious. I remember reading somewhere somebody emailed Martyn and he said he didn’t have any sheet music. Martyn said that if you can’t sing it you can’t play it
Call me a crank, a primitive, a musical illiterate…..But, the bagpipe cannot accent by changing sound intensity. Nor, except for uilleann and northumbrian pipes can it stop between notes. So all us pipers have left for accenting are timing and ornamentation, both of which are minimized in this style. The highland pipers got it right. Going back to border simplicity may be authentic but it’s a step backward to simpletons like me.
Amazing note bends and crisp finger work.
Really focused playing, nice smooth note bending.

As DRP would say “ Shit Damn” that was good
Amazing, brilliant, genius!
Excellent piping. Thanks.
Thx 4 posting. Learned a lot !
Congratulations...great playing!
Sounds great! Who makes this pipes? Where can you buy them?
where can i get the sheet music for the magic flute?? I love that tune =)
Pretty nice! Is the opening on these pipes as small as this on the practice pipes? I know they have a cylindrical channel chanter.
Considering buying these or the RG Hardie twist trap pipes. Anyone have thoughts on which is better? The price is close
What did you end up with?
double-bladed drone reeds?
What key is the chanter in? Ab? or D?
Would you happen to have the score for this tune?
The Korgi can be found on Pipetunes.ca
Where are the other drones??
hi there do you know where I can get the sheet music for double f dilemma or can you send me it please
Double F Dilemma is by Ryan Canning and is in his book Full Monty. www.amazon.com/Full-Monty-Ryan-Canning-Piper/dp/B00PI4A0QC
What chanter are you using?
Crikey
Hi, can i know what pipe you're using ? Is it really a small pipes or is it a practice pipes ?
It's a Piper's Choice Kitchen Pipe. The blowpipe and chanter can be used as a practice chanter.
@@Dales_Workshop I came into possession of a set a month ago and I didn't know that until you said that!
Small pipes have 3 drones and practice pipes only have 2? Correct me if im wrong, because Im honestly wondering the same. lol
@@GolfFoxtrotCharlie-gfc that's correct.
I'm giving this video it's first downvote because OP refuses to answer questions about where he learned Magic Flute.
