Awsome . Cant wait for console . Update. Been wanting a crossbow do to hunt with one real life. I'll get compound next time play. Got shotgun use double rifle buck shot all time and 357mag. 243 is ok need better scope. 22lr good add on.

Flinter The Hunter be cool last weapon type missing. Good inline or cap in ball be nice. With 50cal or 58cal. Even 32 call for small game like rabbits. Auto pistole be cool like a 50ae or single shot handgun. Auto shotgun missing also. But o/u ks cool with buckshot

Almost every DLC pack on PC is on console
I would love to see you play a semi-sim style with some of the tracking assists off (track Particle off; all icons off, etc.) and really only go for vital shots and not spine. Let's see some roleplaying! :)

Great new DLC
Only thing is the .22LR is really underpowered
In real life you can kill deer and coyotes with a .22
But in game it barely penetrates skin
I suppose it's a game balance thing, otherwise everything would be slightly overpowered for the vital mechanics

We used to hunt rabbits on our farm and then use them as bait for hunting coyotes. It is actually alot of fun to hunt rabbits.

The .22 in real life is such a fun gun to shoot. I'm glad that you're happy with it! Definitely go shooting with it IRL if you have the chance, you won't be disappointed. :)
Was the update just for pc or what because I have a PS4 and play but don’t have the crossbow or rabbits
You can shoot the rabbits anywhere and they drop. I kinda just hit as quick as I can and swing to hit anymore if I can.
You need to do long range crossbow hunting for rabbits plz flinter make this happen
It's fun to get a group of rabbits together and use 20ga birdshot on em kill 3-6 at once lol

I prefer the recurve it seems to drop things faster and takes more skill.
I’ve hunted since I have been 7 I am 10 now I’ve shot and killed white tail deer 3 times
I’m pretty sure they changed the spawn locations since I saw a female moose by the field/lake area
I am the most unlucky person to ever play this game, I shot a moose with a 949 score.

I got the 20 dollar game from walmart and mine doesnt even have the crossbow, recurve, or the 22. Do I need to get the more expensive version?
Yeah they are all dlc weapons. I would recommend every dlc for this game because they are all worth it
Also you don't have to get the dlc in person you can click "download able content" on the main menu and get them there

i got a male blacktail at 76.8 meters with the crossbow yesterday. i think with the range set to 50 meters. the middel dot is hitting at 100 meters.
That's not been my experience at all, most people have said with the zeroing at 50m the ranges are 50-70-90
that might be more true.

There are options to turn them off if you want the full experience. I've played it that way, it's pretty fun, but most people would get bored of not seeing any animal sign, there has to be something for the casual player
I agree
The game is very grindy, they don't reward you with that much cash and xp for a single kill. If they did reward playing without glow and outlines additionally, I'd definitely try that! (once I reached lvl20+ to get some mandatory perks)

Do you know to go into the door facing the road? Took me a while to figure that one out. I believe you do not have to pay for ammo used at the range.
Jaxibeard just put out a new video on the .22 rifle that shows him using the range. Might help.

I would personally consider saving for the 7mm. That's many people's favorite rifle and has the power to take down anything

or if you are up for the grind get the pump 12 gauge shotgun with slugs it can do the same thing and is much more fun
