You Go Girl! That's a Good One to dedicate and sorry for your Loss 💙! Only seen one wall Hanger in my life and didnt get to take the shot. Retiring this December with 31 years as a Firefighter and going to Hunt and Golf my Butt off. Got to get in the Woods to see them!
It is cliche but true... if you haven't shouldered a deer then you haven't been hunting long enough. It happens. All you can do is keep putting the time in practicing. Congrats on an incredible kill and God speed for you healing heart.
That's the one tough thing for people who are shooting bows with 45-55 lb draws... that shot placement has to be perfect, or else you will nearly have a heart attack wondering if your deer will die. So glad it worked out and the recovery was pretty easy. Amazing deer!
Its all about proper bow set up and shot placement. I have shot Rage for many many years. I have killed elk, 400 #black bear, moose, many whitetail bucks, turkeys, etc. and they have performed perfectly for me. I shoot 25" and 50#. Congratulations Krysten!
She was being so hard on herself and the whole time I'm thinking "No, you drilled him! Go get your buck!!" He was quartering-to just a touch and that's exactly where she wanted that arrow. Great job 👍🏼👍🏼
Nice job! Ignore the haters. Seems to be a few folks wishing they had a chance at a buck of that magnitude. lol. You recovered your deer and that's all that matters.
NH here. I'm waiting to see one like that. I know we have them I just haven't got one yet. I remember when I was a boy my uncle and step dad went out around 7 AM, they where home by 930 with a 202 pounder and a 209 pounder
I couldn’t be happier to see you found your buck, but do yourself and the next one you shoot at a favor, lose the mechanical broadheads! Most bear outfitters in Canada (they might even have outlawed them by now) won’t let you use them because of such poor penetration. I’m not advocating for any one brand but I will say I have a pope and young black bear, and mountain lion, in addition to a bull elk and 2 whitetail s all shot with the same G5 broad head. They’re milled from a single piece of stock and are easily resharpened. Fewer moving parts always means less chance of something going wrong!! Awesome buck, happy to see you got him.
Some of these comments are depressing..other hunters shouldn’t be putting other hunters down in this day and age. Whatever happened to constructive criticism maybe being nice about your opinions. Looks like to me she poked the heart on this shot..was it a little into the shoulder? Yes..should she make a few changes on broadhead and or arrow configuration? Maybe..but we aren’t there in this video maybe she’s got the perfect set up and is plenty to blow through a deer..this is bowhunting and I’m sure everyone has made a mistake in the stand if you have hunted for awhile. Looks like to me she drew back at the perfect time and had the confidence in the shot leading up to it and they recovered the deer. Awesome footage awesome hunt. Keep up the good work team realtree.
How did the arrow go right through buck. When she's posing with buck upon finding it you can see blood and hair missing from pass through but buck was hit on other side. Are we missing some video?
I thought the shot was perfect, the front leg was back making it look further forward than it really was. That’s exactly where I would have aimed and I shoot a recurve. Right above the heart ...heck of a shot
Congrats on an amazing deer. Two thoughts 1. The shot was not as bad as it initially appeared. 2. May have stopped the deer too soon but the shot window may have been closing. The shot was ever so quartering to...which made it dicey given the broadhead and poundage.
First I will say 2 things. #1 40 years archery hunting. #2 I watch one hell of lot of hunting videos. Now for my comments and thoughts about this video. Even before I read any other comments on here I felt that something was not right about this video and I also noticed the extra hole in the deer and I heard the dog and felt that the recovery seemed very staged and fake, All of these comments to the contrary are more based on this being a female rather than the reality of the facts. Farm deer? MAYBE, but irrelevant because I feel that the entire story isn't being provided. And based on this I must draw a negative conclusion to what is shown. THUMBS DOWN from me....
With buckshot I would always shoot at the shoulder. Most were running due to hunting with dogs. I would think it would be hard to miss the shoulder bow hunting.
Cameraman said shoot for the heart but you can clearly see the leg was back that's why I always say shoot for the lungs shoot for the long and you can't go wrong
Where do you see other broadhead holes? If you are talking about where her stabilizer is touching the deer as it is laying at the end when they find it, that is just spots where the hair is missing or had been moved when she laid her bow down against it and had adjusted it(bow) how ever many times for the right angle during interview. Maybe I am missing something? That's my .02 cents on the take. Cheers
@@austinseymour1769 Not sure what you idiots are looking at. There are NO HOLES anywhere. Looking at the back end or loin area are you? WHY would they make not 1 but TWO such horrible shots to stage something??? Ya'll just aren't thinking straight.

you must be blind or never killed a deer with a bow and arrow..its CLEARLY a broadhead hole right where the end of her stabilizer is where the bow is lying on the deer
Oh i get it now you hid the second shot with some fancy editing he was still bleeding from his mouth when you walked up on him and there is clearly a hole just infront of the back legs
Lol. The blood from the mouth is because the shot was in the lungs. That's what happens. I don't know what second hole you were seeing, but I didn't see one. No fancy editing here.
Not necessarily a second shot wound, it could have been from a fight or in the mad dash. If it was a second shot, I would have suspected they would have moved the camera lens over a bit to hide it. The first shot actually was quite good and lethal. Why are so many people negative?
That's not a hole. I have recovered a lot of deer that get red, bald patches from impacting things while running or falling. Had one fall on a downed tree and pierce the skin. If that was a hole in the gut, and that's where it is, it wouldn't be light red. Bright red blood in the mouth is from the lung shot.
Awesome buck and awesome shot! Theres nothing better than a beautiful woman with a bow! You lame guys on here being negative is laughable. You can hit shoulder with a fixed blade too and not get a pass through so chill out!✌
