Thank you for the video. We tried the restaurant this afternoon and the snapper was delicious. The entire market has a very friendly atmosphere. The people at the fish market laughed when I showed them this video. I’d highly recommend this experience!

I'm sitting at Hermanas Mendoza right now!!!!! I bought shrimp inside the market and brought it here to make half fried and half garlic. I told the waiter we saw this on UA-cam and he was happy. He said he gets a lot of business from your video!

We went for the second time in two weeks for the shrimp, for breakfast at 9am! This restaurant wasn't open so we went to another one that cooked it for us. If we were staying closer to the Mercado we would eat there every day.
Before we went to Cozumel I showed this video to my husband, and he said "We're going there!"

Best prices in town are always where the locals shop. I love the vibe in the Mercado, definitely going to visit next month when my wife and I travel. I had never bought fresh product and had them cook it for me, that is a Definite must do from now on. Love your types of videos, cause that's what I love to do is visit the local shops and food stands.

@@budtillman7552 Downtown, just get a cab and tell him/her/it to the Mercado cabs are cheap.

I make plantains that same way, you can put either salt or sugar on them (I prefer salt)

Going to Cozumel this summer. What is the mask situation when you were there?
It was recommended. Hopefully by this summer it is gone!
I'm in Cozumel now. Outside people are pretty chill with no mask. But if you go into a store/rest it's probably best that you wear one, if only to make other people feel more comfortable

How far is this market from the cruise ports?
It is walking distance from main port and shopping area down town. And 5 min taxi from cruise port. You will want to visit this area if you cruise anyway. Check out my other video I shop the shopping area
How would I get to this market from the RCL cruise port
Very easy . Have walk or take taxi to main sqaure. This is where the ferry drops off. And walk away from ferry straight down main walking street and market is down there. The seafood option seems limited. I dont see much shrimps, crabs , lobster.
There was alot of stalls. But becuase of what's happened in the world and it hurt the island hard you may find hard to find alot anywhere if you want fresh. Help out the locals. Try this market you will enjoy.

They only charge me 10.00 to cook , plantains, pico, everything . I enjoy it so much
