The little feature that I love (and that since the first Gran Turismo) is the little braking gear indicator in red that tells you what gear you should put once you brake and when it blinks then you need to brake. So you don't need the ground indicator in corners. But this one is yet weird because it gives very low gears indication.

@@grimm6jack Toyota in 2015 was even slower than the 2014 version at Le Mans, while Audi and Porsche was 6 seconds faster than their 2014 versions.
So when i say "iconic 2015 and 2017 LMP1" of course Toyota TS040 2015 remains out of the equation. Toyota belonged to the underdogs in 2015 😂😂😂.
Also you mentioned track conditions. During the 2016 season the only qualifying session with bad track condition was at 6h of Silverstone, and it was not even raining when the pole was made even tho the track was still wet.
How will you justify the performances of 2016 LMP1 on the 7 other tracks 🤭
So stop with your nonsense. 2016 LMP1 were overall the slowest from 2015 to 2020.
Their only strong point compared to other seasons was the fact that they had more downforce, and even with that they were slower than versions of other seasons at all high downforce tracks except at Bahrain. When it comes to low downforce tracks they were not even close to the records, both racing time record and qualifying time record.
By the way here are the wec track fastest cars during the LMP1 golden era and the time gap compared to 2016 pole positions:
-Silverstone GP => Toyota TS050 Hybrid 2019 (4 seconds faster than 2016 pole position)
-Spa Francorchamps=> Toyota TS050 Hybrid 2017 (2 seconds faster than 2016 pole position)
-Circuit de la Sarthe=> Toyota TS050 Hybrid 2017 (5 seconds faster than 2016 pole position)
-Nurburgring GP=> Porsche 919 Hybrid 2017 (1 seconds faster than 2016 pole position)
-Mexico City=> Porsche 919 Hybrid 2017 (half a second faster than 2016 pole position)
-Circuit of the Americas=> Porsche 919 Hybrid 2017 (1 second faster than 2016 pole position)
-Fuji Speedway => Porsche 919 Hybrid 2015 (half a second faster than 2016 pole position)
      -Shanghai International => Toyota TS050 Hybrid 2017
(2 seconds faster than 2016 pole position)
      -Bahrain International => Audi R18 2016
*Facts which put an end to the debate*
      ------------------------------
But i will give them credit for this fact :
-Toyota TS050 Hybrid 2016 holds the distance record of Fuji Speedway
-Porsche 919 Hybrid 2016 holds the distance record of Shanghai International
-Audi R18 2016 holds the distance records of Bahrain International
Meaning the 2016 LMP1 were very reliable on high Downforce tracks.
When it comes to other tracks during the hybrid era :
-Audi R18 e-tron quattro 2015 holds the distance record of Silverstone GP and Spa Francorchamps
-Porsche 919 Hybrid 2015 holds the distance record of Circuit de la Sarthe (excluding Audi R15 TDI Plus which didn't run during the hybrid era)
-Porsche 919 Hybrid 2017 holds the distance record of Nurburgring GP, Mexico City and Circuit of the Americas.

@@arkeusalexander9054 Wow there, take it easy mate. I just made a remark on the Toyota which was clearly an improvement in 2016.
Nice fact check there but please don't talk to me in such a condescending way.
And yeah I only remembered that Silverstone was damp.
Aside from Silverstone which was WET.
The overall best times were as such:
      Spa: 2015 - All 3 cars better than 2016.
La Sarthe: 2015 - Audi and Porsche better than 2016. Toyota was better than 2015.
      Nurburgring: 2015 - All 3 cars better than 2016.
COTA: 2016 - Only Porsche was better than 2016. Audi and Toyota were faster than 2015.
Fuji: 2015 - Audi and Porsche better than 2016. Toyota was better than 2015.
Shanghai: 2015 - Audi and Porsche better than 2016. Toyota was better than 2015.
      Bahrain: 2016 - All 3 cars better than 2015.
So yes, overall the 2015 car were faster aside from Toyota. But the regulations were supposed to make the cars faster, unless there was some other thing I missed that made them slow down (BoP requirements?) or maybe Porsche and Audi simply messed up while Toyota made huge improvements.
Which could explain why at the last race at the end of the season (end of development), all 3 teams improved their times over 2015, especially Audi and Toyota.
Regardless, GT7 added the 2016 cars because they were the cars used right before GT Sport was released... 2016 was also the last year of Audi as LMP1 team, and 2016 was a year where all of those 3 teams were highly competitive.
Although I must say 2015 had the best overall battles thanks to Audi and Porsche... If Toyota were competitive that year, this would've been an even more sensational year. But overall I liked 2016 more just because things were more mixed out with 3 great teams battling it out, and then the drama in Le Mans with Toyota...
The 2017 TS050 is the fastest Prototype in history. And yet again a great season of WEC even despite Audi not being there anymore, Porsche and Toyota were equally matched in terms of performance.
I just hope we get to see the LM Hypercars get the level of excitment that post 2009-2017 LPM1 provided.
      Peugeot
      Toyota
      Porsche
      Audi
And some even say BMW is returning
      One can dream.

@@grimm6jack I am deeply sorry for being rude, you really didn't deserve such treatment. I just came out from a toxic online conversation before engaging with you that's probably why i behaved like an ***hole. But i'm not generally like that.
To come back to your point, the reason why Audi and Porsche was faster in 2015 was because they had less downforce, so they were faster on straight lines and fast corners while the 2016 versions were easier to drive, were more stable, had more downforce, and were faster in slow corners.
As bahrain is the most high downforce track in the whole championship, 2016 lmp1 would of course own it.
When it comes to competitivity indeed the 2016 season was special and unpredictable, all 3 cars were competitive even tho Toyota was as unlucky as always.
During 2015 season Audi was probably the ultimate challenger, probably the most challenging car in both WEC history and of Le Mans history that did not win the Championship and Le Mans .
The R18 e-tron quattro 2015 racing pace was just unreal in low downforce tracks.
It still holds the distance record of Silverstone and Spa. It is also the only car the ran more than 390 laps at Le Mans without winning the race, any other LMP1 of the hybrid era facing it would lose. At Le Mans 2015 all 3 participating Audi's ran 3m17s during the race, not a single car ever managed to do that in a race (having all 2 or 3 participating prototypes running that fast on hard tyres and racing setup). The 2015 Audi also holds the 2nd fastest racing lap time of Le Mans history only behind the 2019 Toyota TS050 by fractions of a second. But in qualifying the 2015 Audi never gave its all except at Fuji, infact it is the second fastest LMP1 of Fuji history (qualifying).
Porsche took pole position on all tracks during the 2015 season from Silverstone to Bahrain litterally braking wec qualifying records of all tracks. But the racing duels was at another level compared to the 2016 season. But the 2016 season was more exciting to watch because of Toyota come back at competitive level making it a trio instead of a duo at top level.
Finally when it comes to speed and lap times around wec tracks, 2017 and 2019 LMP1 are the fastest. Toyota won 5 out of 9 races in WEC 2017 but lost the championship because of bad results at Le Mans which count as double.
The 2017 Toyota TS050 is probably the fastest LMP1 in history but it is debateable if we take into account that 2019/2020 LMP1 were under BoP most of the championship.
And when they were not under BoP they were as fast or even slightly faster than 2017 and 2015 LMP1.
For example at Silverstone 2019 Toyota ran faster than 2017 Toyota, while Rebellion and Dallara ran as fast the 2017 Toyota and Ginetta which was the slowest of top LMP1 that season still ran faster than the 2017 Porsche and all LMP1 pole from 2016 and before.
At Spa 2019 Toyota ran 1:53.6 as same as Porsche and Toyota in 2017.
At Le Mans 2019 all top LMP1 ran faster than Porsche old qualifying record from 2015 which only one Toyota (driven by Kobayashi) managed to brake back in 2017 and only one Toyota in 2018 (driven by Nakajima) all other drivers regardless of the car in 2017 and 2018 did 3m17 or slower meaning slower than Porsche pole in 2015.
While in 2019 you have 6 cars braking that old record, 4 cars running 3m16s sighly faster than 2015 Porsche by fractions of a second (2 Rebellion and 2 Dallara under EoT "Equivalence of Technologies") and 2 Toyota doing a 3m15s.
Anyway it is nice to see a fellow WEC freak xD

    • @grimm6jack
      @grimm6jack 2 роки тому

@@arkeusalexander9054 Yes, it was only a given that the post-2017 cars would be faster but they had to be under the BoP regulations which was obviously nerfing them, especially the Toyota, compared to the Rebellion and the Dallara.
The Audi in 2015 was a downforce freak. Remember it always having the edge on the Porsche in the more technical corners but Porsche would always come back on the high speed corners and straights.
Technically, if we take off BoP and EoT, 2019/2020 should indeed be the fastest LMP1 cars, and thus, fastest prototypes in history, not counting the illegal 919 Evo of course, but Toyota themselves or Audi could also do a car like that with ease. Porsche simply had the time and fun in doing it.
I was a massive F1 fan, but after the regulation changes in 2014, the sport for me really took a nose dive, and from that point I started paying more attention to the WEC. I truly started at about 2009 but it was mainly Le Mans (and I think WEC only started in 2012, before that I think it either didn't exist or the endurance championship had some other name IIRC).
Nice to talk to a fellow WEC fan as well, and massive respective for the apology, usually I would have it at it against kids acting high and mighty but you recognized immediately you didn't act "right". Massive respect for that mate.
Let's hope the LMH gets as good as LMP1. It has all the conditions to be so, won't even care if the cars are slower but even that deficit with the years passing, teams will eventually catch up with further development.
