We already work remotely but with the current economic state we are having a HARD time saving enough money to buy a used c-class RV so we can take it on the road. Poor credit due to health challenges in the past... How to get us into that RV? Got any recommendations? We believe it would only take about $9 - $14K to get the RV and another $5K or so for fees and setting it up for the basics for a mobile hotspot, etc. We're smart people and very talented and resourceful but stumped. Thanks!

After a terrible 2022, shell-shocked financial backers have a lot to think about and losses to recover from. An expansion report and a wealth of other data did little to alter assumptions that the Central bank would likely keep raising interest rates regardless of whether the economy slows down. This implies that portfolios will experience more losses during the first quarter of 2023. I'm currently at a crossroads deciding whether to exchange my $250k security/stock portfolio; how might the continuous market volatility work to my advantage?

Just a note about transcription jobs, which I've done, it's HARD work. Most of the audio files are INAUDIBLE in places and a 40 minute file can take seven hours to get it right. And if you don't get it right, they kick you off the site. So you have to be GOOD to make less than most places minimum wage. I did about ten files over the course of a month or so and made about $60 USD. Those ten files took me HOURS and HOURS to do... so when I figured out what I made per hour, it was about $1.20ish. Definitely not an easy way to make money...I finally gave up and stopped that kind of work.

Writers run into a similar situation. There are a lot of platforms, but the top pay is too low + clients can ask for multiple rewrites. Freelancers who make a living entirely online typically develop their own clientele and rarely use freelance job sites.
There are some better ones like Problogger and LinkedIn.com/jobs but you often have to dig through dozens or hundreds of poor paying gigs to find the good ones.

I did transcription and was making around $250/week for about 25 hours of work. I would preview audio files to see if they were inaudible before taking on the task. You do have to be a good typist to be successful, though. I type about 100 wpm, and about half that when transcribing.

Teaching is a profession and should be done by professionals. Unqualified people generally do more damage than good when they volunteer to teach. Many students end up losing their money and don't achieve their goals because of the teacher's lack of skill and knowledge. Unfortunately, students often blame themselves and give up in frustration. Teaching ESL or EFL effectively requires a knowledge of SLA methodology, current research-based theory, and talent. Having taught ESL/EFL for many years at a university in Mexico and at a college in the US, I have seen the harm that unqualified teachers do.

Thank you for the time and effort you put into making this vid. After ending an almost 30yr career, I am starting at square one! The funny thing is that I've been considering RV life and wondering what I could do to earn $$ remotely. Even if I keep the sticks 'n bricks I would like to be able to work remotely and maybe get a small RV for weekend trips with the dog. I have some health issues and physical limitations so this kind of work would be ideal for me!

Some of us are just looking for "pocket change". My husband and I are retiring so we can travel the country and are just looking for a little income to help with expenses. Robin, you have today made me realize we can do this. We will be on social security so can only earn a certain amount so I truly thank you for bringing this information and doing all the research as it is very daunting. I'm always looking for more opportunities, especially as I get closer to retiring from the traditional workforce. I have watched hundreds of videos, read thousands of booklets, dozens of books, and spent thousands of hours researching work from home and other self-employment opportunities. So, I came into watching this video expecting to learn nothing. I'm just a fan of your channel, because you're a great presenter, and I admire your skill. To my surprise, I did learn a lot. Nobody is volunteering their way to a teaching certificate good in USA K-12 schools, that I've heard of. But I did have an instructor or two in college, who probably lacked anything beyond a HS diploma, if that, though they were of course the exception to the rule, and were awesome instructors on topics where both academics and tradesmen have expertise.
