Here is another version of The Longer I Live, this time from the 2014 Ballad and Musical Concert. I think its safe to say now that this song is my favorite... I fell in love the first time I heard it, honestly. The lyrics are so important too... I feel like I spent a long time thinking that the meaning of this song was directly from the Broadway version of Wildhorn's Dracula.. But having these proper English subtitles really helped me get a better feel for the Korean version of this musical as a whole and the restructuring its been under. I love seeing the sentimental Dracula :')

이 영상 왜이렇게 계속 보게되나요.... 힘이 넘쳐서 어쩔줄모르고 감정도 주체 못하는 격양된 드라큘라 같아요... ㅠㅠ2021의 드라큘라랑 또 다른맛인데 테크닉적인 부분이 돋보여서 너무 속이 뻥 뚫리면서도 드라큘라의 슬픔이 잘 느껴지는거 같아요 ㅠㅠㅠㅠ 콘서트 퀄 무엇...

i know he is a trained musical actor and singer but how do his vocal chords survive this kind of singing every night?? The vibrato is awesome and singing while kind of crying from emotion with enough air in his lungs is truly hard. Well done
Correct technique. That’s the most important. If you strain your vocal cords they will get injured, but if you train it correctly they won’t. Just like any other athlete who needs to train and perform.
I don't understand but from his voice and tone I am crying thinking how heart breaking it is his life as a count dracula😢😢

the lyrics really do make such a difference tho, especially if you're going in with the same characterization of dracula thats in the english version
yess, like it makes the change of heart much more understandable at the end.. the Korean version is so exponentially better than the broadway musical. If its ever revived, they better add these changes!
The Korean production really is worlds better than the other productions the show has had. Wildhorn is notorious for never having a fully complete show. Ever. I mean, for the longest time the Scarlet Pimpernel was just referred to as SP1, SP2, SP3, SP4 and then they just trailed off after sending it overseas. To this day there isn't a definitive version of Jekyll and Hyde (Hey! Junsu would be the BOMB in that!) and Dracula has yet to have a concrete version, but I honestly believe it's not going to get any better than it is in Korea. Xia puts so much color and energy into the role (Ryu Jung-Han, Park Eun-Suk and Jeon Dong-Suk were no slouches either). I thought no one would de-throne Drew Sarich as my favorite Dracula and yet hete we are!
The addition of the Mina/Elizabeth reincarnation subplot really tied everything together. One: we got the amazing addition of 'She.' Two: It didn't make Dracula seem like a simp who just saw Mina and went, 'Yup, that's the woman I want to impale me. I would lay down my life for this woman I just met while dining on her best friend's blood. Not awkward or anything " Being a musical theater pariah in the states really brought Frank Wildhorn into his own in the European and Asian theater communities and damned if the world isn't better for it! Enough of my rambling! Thank you so much for posting these! I would die to see this show in its entirety, but this definitely tides me over! Thanks for posting it!! ❤
