After their last highly acclaimed 2014 album “Magic Forest”, female fronted Finnish Symphonic quintet Amberian Dawn return with "Innuendo", their second studio album with gorgeous singer Päivi "Capri" Virkkunen. Presented in a catchier and more melodic way than previous efforts, Innuendo sounds like a deliberately fresh new start with some of strongest vocal performances in the band’s history. With production work from Mikko Karmilla (Amorphis, Apocalyptica) and Tuomas Seppälä's apparent influences of the likes of Jean Michel Jarre to Vangels, Innuendo showcases the epic trademarks of an album that could easily place the band into the forefront of the Symphonic Metal genre! "Innuendo" is a term most famed by Queen and their album titled the same, but as time goes on, some might also come to think of Amberian Dawn alongside those British rock heroes.

I love it! What I'm about to say could sound bad to some, but to me it's a huge compliment, it sounds like metal meets late ABBA (like their last two albums ya know). I love ABBA, I love metal, so I love this.

Just listened to the entire album. First of all, it's really good. And if you think this has something to do with ABBA, go listen to "Knock Knock, Who's There". The only people this song is missing are Olivia Newton John and John Travolta, because it has "Grease" written all over it :D And it's also really good :D

GREAT SONG!!! I recently bought the album because of this song, and because I was already a fan of old Amberian Dawn with Heidi. This song in particular has been stuck in my head all day! Very catchy tune, love it! :)

The band is greatful ever and Päivi's voice is fantastic. She sounds like Agneta and Annafried in one, if she sings like ABBA. And ...... why not... and let's wait for the other songs.

+Zombot I'm sure. In my opinion, it is one of the best bands in this genre, Päivi is a fantastic singer and Tuomas Seppälä is one of the greatest composers in our time.

sorry about previous I will try again.A fabulous powerful clear vocal that does not rely upon a vibratto to reach the high notes. Catchy song also. These Scandinavians know how to write accessable popular rock/ metal!!

Heidi had an amazing operatic, pure voice but I understand this style has its limits. I was very disappointed though when I saw that the band was just re-recording the same songs but with a new singer. It just didn't work. But still the new singer has this great rock voice and I was curious to see what the band's new direction would be. The lyrics on the albums were never that great but Heidi's operar style made it ok. Now the flaws are more obvious, and the music lacks power, dimension. something has to take this to the next level : Heidi did that with her voice. Kind of disappointed but I wish the band all the best and hope they will continue to experiment.
