The second W.W.Greener Viking Gun, this time on a G gun action. With the finest hand carving, once again by Alan Brown and featuring new Damascus barrels.
This film really shows off the details of the gun in a way the still images just can't and as usual the gunmaking of David Dryhust and Richard Tandy is second to none. Add to that the sublime carving by Alan Brown, researched in the most accurate detail and executed with a panache that puts even the first Viking Gun in the shade, and you have something otherworldly.
This style of art gun is not likely to be replicated many more times as the people capable of making them are retiring and the clients prepared to take them one are few and far between. We are quite lucky that the technology to allow a video like this to be made has overlapped with guns like this still being made and now the footage will last forever.
