  • In this video I explain my map tactics in War Thunder realistic tank battles for Abandoned factory domination. I reccommend some key positions I use on the map Abandoned factory and explain my map tactics. Where I go to in realistic tanks battles in War Thunder depends on if I have an utpier or a downtier match.

    Please be aware:
    _ This strategy works best for low and midtier tanks. Modern battle tanks have to be played differently. When you spawn too late, or for the second time the key positions might already be occupied by the enemy.
    _ I like to play tanks that have gun depression. Other tanks, like the Russian tanks, can also consider these strategies, but have to use other spots.
    _ At this moment I will only explain the game mode domination, because it is more complex and more frequent than the other modes
    _ I recommend to play as support in a full uptier match and to brawl in a full downtier match. Considering this, I planned the routes and key positions as followed:
    _ Gaijin may have changed the names of the capture points. So I refer to the names as shown in this video.

    My mindset on this map is, Taking A gives you tactical advantage over B. Especially the hill or behind the factory gives so much map control.

    Here are also two videos where I somehow used my support routes. By the time those videos were made I didn't have the map tactic from this video.

    I always go C and then push B, no matter the tank i use. The reason is that C is very easy to capture, and when there is some enemy resistance, the game is very dynamic without half the enemy team being there and i like that. Then support my teammates from B, or snipe enemies who are at B.

    • @McKonggaming
      @McKonggaming  Рік тому +1

      I also experienced that and it is a solid approach. And when you have a tank with some armor it is even better. In the end you only need 2 capture points to win.

    I used to always rush A point like most of the people do but at high BR starting on the right side of the map I started going towards B and then hiding behind the concrete pipes between A and B, it’s a good spot to stop enemy advancing towards both points, multiple angles to watch tho, but if you focus it’s very easy to get a lot of kills there without being seen.

    • @McKonggaming
      @McKonggaming  Рік тому

      Good insight. I will look for those pipes the next time.

    The first time i ever played this map, my instinct was to immediately to flank around A
    In general i ask my team "do we ignore c?" in almost every map bc (aside from flanking) its always easier and more important to hold the A & B combo

    • @McKonggaming
      @McKonggaming  Рік тому

      That is right. For most, when not all of the maps the A and B point have a better connection than B and C. C is somewhat remote and you have to take a risk to get there or the other spawn

    I think those are solid tactics. I used to always go to A from either spawn but I do C alot now and then go north. For A from the east spawn I like to go around the north end corner in C6 but you ignore that entirely. Why do you think this is not a good approach? I realize it provides no immediate opportunities for influence on B but you cover a lot of what brawl position 3 does earlier in the match.

    • @McKonggaming
      @McKonggaming  Рік тому +1

      I tried that also but as mentioned in the video the enemy always was able to fall in my back when I was at C6. This is why I picked a first key position that is closer to the point. From here I can have an impact on the rush of the enemy team. A lot of players try to sneak around A, past my first key position for the support route and then they are immediately right before your spawn. When I am now at C6 I have to turn around and fight those enemies because my team is already getting spawn camped. I hope I was able to explain why I avoid these position.

    Such a bad map. Whoever wins at A and a 90% chance to win the game. And people can, and do, spawn camp 1 minute after the game has begun. Hate these little tiny maps catering for people with ADHD.

      I don't understand why gaijin is not reworking some maps. There is so much map arround this little corridors we have to fight in.

      @@McKonggaming With the ever increasing pase of gameplay , thanks to so many little rush vehicles, and the tiny little maps, they are really trying to turn WT into world of tanks. Its stupid really as WT really isnt made for that type of gameplay.. or at least that is not the fun type of gameplay that a lot of people want.
      But i guess they have realised that it is little kids with mummys credit card who spend the most, therefore they will cater to what they prefer.
      It wont be long before it will be hard to distinguish WT from Fortnight, as every year they introduce some awful tank accessary that all the little kids stick to their tanks, what with the "eyes" that alll the babies put on their tanks... It really is a shame this could have been a really good Tank combat game. But it will never be that anymore.

    Nope don’t start going NE to A. Go East to A between A/B and catch the south side of A’s flanking enemies for free kills.

    • @McKonggaming
      @McKonggaming  Рік тому +1

      Someone has to go to A :-). The map is small and there are a lot of good spots, so also a fair tactic

    I'm just wondering do you have any tips for getting used to 7.0?
    I've had trouble sience i got past after 6.7 and i can't get used to the new cas and atgm missile spam and the general weakspots of many tanks are really unknown to me. I only have a leopard and a maus at the same BR but maus is too slow and too weak to atgm, autoloaders and tanks that are flanking.
    While leopard is hard to use close quarters and because of the too big scope and bad armor. Suburban maps are hard for the leopard and playing maus just gets me shot from the back.

    • @McKonggaming
      @McKonggaming  Рік тому

      Unfortunately 7. something can be a black hole and especially heavy tanks struggle in my opinion. After 8.0 the game changes and gets faster and faster. The Maus is a coll tank, but not really in the meta. Speed matters! Go for the BMP1 and the Marder 1. They will improve your line-up. The leo is a sniper flanker in my opinion. The BMP1 and Marder 1 are great around the capture points.

      So you go around the support at A and in the back of the enemy. I see that a lot and when the enemy is not aware of it it can work really good.
