if like a sparkling cider, as if no alcohol 💛
but full of happiness - of color 💛 of care
of compassions - pure, kind and so sweet
    like happiness, hopeful expressions, soft
flowing therapies of care - and the bubbly
fun happy sparkles of a super expensive
super smooth - and so gracefully gifted for us
here pouring soft wine - as if non alcoholic -
so non injurious to any, like mercies of ever
so caring compassions - yes, so artfully
merciful, like love so affectionate - ever
so vibrantly dear by the honesty and
colorfulness of humble power so pure,
so arrayed & so obviously sophisticated,
yet so humble, so thoughtfully placed
among us, I would say taught to take
    compliments so humbly, gracefully -
pointing up to our Maker And loving
the ones here to sparkle, kiss, hug & fly
By Immanuel's so ever sweet Love
may she help so many of us to do so
all the way Home into Love ever pure
even to highest capacity and by miracles
hope, love and poetic humble brilliance
even so far if so possible, beyond
Yet she pours 💛or really our Maker
by way of And with and along side her
I would say - Oh so thoughtfully
towards us by her life wherever
she goes with a happy smile
And a whole lot, is it not so
    happily so, with smooth
    Stylings of sweet and
    So honest care, too?
of lots ( and lots! 💛)
    of ( super ) happy 💛
    love! 💛
like a glass of super expensive Royal
    magnificence - pouring, pouring, pouring
out happiness - super humble therapies
And loving dear compassions, over us
somehow making the hurtfully hurt so "happily drunk"
on forever so harmless pure compassions, the power
of loving sweet elegance - and hope of the work
And play - as i would say - of humility and such
oh the power of it - and simply the color, happy
hope and sweet comfy feel - so super fabulous
of how to treat people & understand the story
better because of how we got here and
What fights us and how to win it all
how, not only where we are going
but how we get there and by
What means at all times, always
may Abba embrace us so dearly
more and more by her expressions
as i would say - of a funny & so simple
yet so powerful profoundness - here
and into all future of mercies, by yes -
The power of big time - obviously
so healing arts - as it were - of ABC
    basic compassions to build upwards
into all pure explorations of the art
and power yes so hopefully, of -
    love!
so cool to see humble ones
    showing us what simple
    care and big hearted
    Affections can do
    shown clearly by way, so
    artfully, so expensively
    So mercifully by way
    of a so obviously
    shining 💛sister
    so obviously shining
    out the "power arts"
    of simply humble love
    yay! for our so
    Super beautiful
    funny, kind
    people loving
    and obviously so
    powerfully
    gifted sister
    samara joy!
( Oh and pls we need to know
    it took probably super efforts
And TLC to bring her here as
    much as her family contributed
To what she and Her Maker so
    obviously have expressed into
And out to the world through
    our ( super fabulous funny
kind and so humble ) sister -
    yay for the McLendon family!
yay! love and hugs, brother cam💛
Maybe its a bit lit up with exclamation
points that hopefully were placed well
but i guess its better to give the flowers,
than not To in life, its just powerfully
important how you do it, hopefully
this helped here, hopefully so 💛

So much talent in one girl, it's just unfair to other singers out there. A once in a generation kind of super gifted talent, totally fascinating.

A terrific and well done version, but Betty Carter's version is surreal. Jazzmeia Horn also does an excellent, though smoother version. For me it's Betty's version then well underneath, Jazzmeia's, then this one. But that doesn't mean that this version doesn't soar.

As far as renditions Jazzmeia Horns version to the best for my ears. This woman is talented but she is bit too much for my taste.
Jazzmeia Horn is damn near perfect! ❤❤❤❤

    This is n o t a jazz song.

    • @inklesswells
      @inklesswells Рік тому +10

Well, let's see. It's built on a series of instrumental breaks, as were Louis Armstrong's 50 Choruses for Cornet in 1927. Its harmonies are easy for any jazz musician to hear, which is why Branford Marsalis had no trouble playing a solo over the form when Betty Carter came on The Tonight Show. It swings, it's more than twice as old as anyone in Samara's band, and it's been recorded by several leading jazz singers. So if it's an opera song, it's the strangest one I ever heard.

      harmony check
      swings check
      blues check
      collective improvisation check
      probably jazz

It is absolutely a Jazz song; written by and originally performed by one of Jazz music's most dynamic artists, Ms. Betty Carter!
