1996 Atlantic Hurricane Season v.2

- Animation of the progress of all tropical cyclones in the 1996 Atlantic Hurricane Season. By far the worst storm of the season was Hurricane Fran, which struck the Carolinas as a major Category 3 storm.
Awesome birthday present! Thanks Force Thirteen! I've been waiting for this one for a while, specifically because I have relatives who survived Fran.
How exactly did you comment 3 days early?

wow
cool
0:57 Believe me, that sound went perfect with the music, as if it’s a riser.

Those sound effects make it sound like you’re listening to dubstep.
The storm's approaching and landfall sound effects :D
from Sept. 11-15 there was a Cat1-equivalent in the Great Lakes which formed
and that was huron
Yep...hurricane Huron as they called it
Actually I believe it was only strong TS strength
@@oraclegaming1431 yeah it was but they named it hurricane huron
@@joshuarogers6229 no that’s not an official name. It’s just what people started calling it even though it wasn’t officially a hurricane.
I like the wind jet rising sounds and the landfall sounds it goes strongly with the tracking and the intensity on how much the hurricanes increase and decrease it’s perfect
The zooming in and out was a bit awkward, but the new sound effects were a great addition! :)
Wow Arthur is basically the same track in 1996, 2002, 2014, and 2020 and hit Carolina’s 4 times!
Arthur must really love the Carolinas
It tracked near the Carolinas, not hit
I forgot I wrote this lol
@@vasillabaptiste1766 It skimmed the Outer Banks, while not technically a landfall the storm did touch North Carolina
Marco looks like eta, and iota, but with erasurements
I actually really like the landfall sounds but I’m not very keen on the zooming in
@Francisco Universe yes i am agreeing rn before it happens
I love the music in the beginning and also the landfall effect! Great work!
love the new animations, cant wait for the 2018 atlantic hurricane season animations
I actually love those strenghening/weakening effects and that landfall "drum" thing. However I think it might be extrapolated if all storms and all landfalls get one. It woul maybe be wiser to only do that to the most notable storms.
I for some reason actually like the sound of the landfall noises
Same
Ooh! I would love Elements played in the 1991 Pacific Typhoon Season V2!
Also, new song! Awesome
0:26
@Luca Silva Elements
0:23 Arthur: remember me? Here I am on 2020s hurricane season back strong than ever (I think.....idk I’ll be at least a strong tropical storm) , I might hit the northeast coast or fish myself out to sea, what yall want me to decide to go during may 19th?
2:51 “Jokes on you, they‘ll replace Florence with FRANcine! You won’t ever escape me, got it?”
Those sound effects.
Your pfp sums it up
Are going to give me a headache, they’re pointless
Actually, They're only for the 90's effect. You're from 20's
Plus, these sound effects are only on 90's Animations.
@@astradiayt ok
@@astradiayt i don't think so.
Honestly surprised at your analysis of Fran at Cat 4. I personally still believe it's a Cat 3
It was a C3
Notice how it was much calmer then hurricane seasons today, global warming is real
Yes and Not
Personally, I find the strengthening and weakening sound effects annoying. Nice video though.
@Luca Silva its not the landfall sound effect. It sounds sory of like a jet engine, not the ping noise at landfall.
@@UnderscoreEtta that's the music
@@farhanatashiga3721 I'm pretty sure that isnt the music, as it syncs with the hurricanes incredibly well.
Thats more likely a landfall suspense
@@farhanatashiga3721 no it's not he added that in...listen to the newest version of 2000 hurricane season and you'll hear they arent added in
You guys should make an animation like this for 2005 v5
Awesome! :D I can't wait for Atlantic Hurricane Season 2018!
Hi, how do i request a hypothetical hurricane season
More dubstep-sounding SFX in the background...COOL!
This is the best animation ever
Put this song on your SoundCloud, is it still even being used?
Please do the landfall effect for 2018 hurricane season 😀
Fran was what I call my 1st big one that I will always remember having no power for 7 maybe 9 days, hot and humid conditions ,cleaning up debris will always stay in my mind
How come hurricane Arthur always seems to form by the eastcoast
sound effects are neat (somehow) it tells the viewer "oh boy, it may make landfall." it makes sense, make the V.2 of the 1992 Atlantic hurricane season like THAT!
I mean v.3
I believe Fran is a cat 4. idk why so many say it’s a cat 3.
REALLY LIKE THE SOUND EFFECTS FOR LANDFALLS :D
How?
Why?
They’re absolutely unnecessary, and they’re going to give me a headache
@Luca Silva those kind of sound effect works in video games because they were meant for it, here it just doesn't fit at all.
Well some people like them, some people don’t, get over it.
1:05 that's really cool.
Fran hit my mom’s childhood home as an oak tree fell on the building, flooding her bedroom.
Is your mom ok
@@DEEJAY440 oh yeah this was 1996.
@@matthewwims3386 good
2:20 the three horsemen of the apocalypse
1:05 that actually sounds like an air raid siren
Ok i think you might just went a bit overboard with this one, the intro although nice is uncesassary, the Zoom in is a bit too close so close in fact i think it might cause nausea, and lastly that landfall sound effect is just annoying the marker is more than enough no need for that sort of thing.
There’s always a critic
@@RelicHunting and there's always people who takes uncesassary things as if they need it like you.
Landfall sound is nice stop criticism
@@nelsonchen200 it's annoying, stop admiring something stupid.
These are for 90's effects. Actually I agree with Nelson
It'll take time to get this as a habit
Elements is NUTTY!
Also the videos have improved!

This is amazing, but the only thing I don't like is the camera following the storms.
It's pretty rare for a storm to get two names! 1:35
Well its because it crossed the pacific, and on that time when a storm crosses the Pacific it gets renamed to the East Pacific Name (only until 2015)
@@meihua5161 They still do it sometimes, if it entered the alantic,
its more rare now
The landfall sounds are great the zooming is weird
I like the sounds only used like they were in your 1984 season
After Ceasar entered into the pacific the square that shows its landfall floated northeast then was ducked back west pretty weird
Can’t wait for the 1991 Pacific Typhoon Season! I can imagine how it’ll look! Tune 9 (i think) would go great with it!
My personal title: A Storm’s Life Cycle (there’s a Rocket League reference in that season - Yuri (your favorite storm name of the older naming lists), who’s one of the players on the Rovers’ team. (they’re named after astronauts)
Can you make this again it was kind of bad
Florence = Fran rebooted
@Ashton Lovell it remains did. and SPLIT IN HALF!
can you ake 199 atl hurrican season v2 with hurricane huron
I want the 2005 season with these sound effects
Track of Storm Callum?
what is it?
Irish storm.
What happened to Cesar?
Cesar crossed the pacific and became Cesar - Douglas which they have to do since it technically is a new storm in the EPAC basin.
Awesome Video!
Yup u need to remake this
they should of kept the landfall, weakening, and strengthening sounds. it makes the animations not so dry to the ears. ""In my opinion"".
CDPS scale?
If theres multiple storms you cant so it only includes CDPS scales in track videos.
My fevorite song ever like my mum even a landfall sound
Hurricane Fran retired name that caused $5 billion in damage in the east coast.
Umm The 1996 Arthur and 2020 Arthur almost had the same track.
IT HAD THE SAME TRACK
And 2014
I kinda wish you also showed Cyclone Huron in here, but I guess that technically counts as a Great Lakes cyclone, not an Atlantic cyclone.
1. Its Hurricane.
2. It was a low pressure system. NOT a hurricane.
@@bioly300 So it’s a hurricane but also not a hurricane and it’s a low pressure system
thanks for the info
@@bioly300 NHC reclassified as a sub-tropical storm
arthur 1996 had almost the same path as arthur 2020!
Pretty much all arthurs formed in the same place except for 1984 2008 and some other years
Arthur 1996 almost took the same path Arthur 2020 did
Oh yeah lol
Is it just me or Arthur had a similar track to 2014
Nope
And 2020
What a coincidence
Yeah, Arthur almost always hits the Carolinas
There was actually a hurricane that appeared over the Great Lakes this year, I think
shut up

KittenGosCrazy I know
@Hurricane Milton It was 73 MPH which is almost a Hurricane.

Hey we using this list here
I wouldn’t want to imagine the landfall noises for Irma
You shouldn’t either.

I wouldn’t want to imagine Wayne.
Typhoon Cooper I don't think Wayne made that much landfalls.
what about patrica
Patricia only made 1 landfall, at Category 4 intensity.
@@internetcookies1230 Noise still played when it came close to coastal areas, so there’s that
1:03 BIG BERTHA!
@Lueezation Lueezaming yeah
lili should have been retired in that hurricane season
Yep. Also, Hortense should have stayed until 2008.
@@User-wh4xi yeah
i see you used the landfall sounds......
1:06 why does it sound like an air raid siren
i like the modeling
Looks like Marco was tryna go to Jamaica but couldn't quite make
Great vid!
Arthur 1996 took a very similar track with Arthur 2020
And Arthur 2014
Best icons
This is the best f13 animation IMO.
What about the huroncane?
you mean the Great Lakes cyclone?
and it was only a sub-tropical hurricane CAT 1. Lasted: 9/11/1996-9/15/1996
@@iceresistance okay
@@iceresistance thank you
Wow Bertha rip Canada. Wow Cesar rip Venezuela and mexico Fran rip north and south carolina
BOOM!
Bertha rip usa actually
I don’t quite like the new changes. The 20-second “back to the 90s” thing just seems like pointless filler, and I don’t think there’s a need to zoom in straight on one storm. The strengthening and weakening and landfall noises are also going to give me a headache if I’m honest
Also, the cyclone counter I think is unnecessary too
Yeah, I totally agree. Also, the cyclone sprites for this year aren't bad or anything, but I'd honestly prefer last year's sprites or even the 2015-16 sprites.
I think they may want to consider returning to the format of 2015-2016.
William 5629 I think their animations were at their best earlier this year
i disagree...
What about hurricane Huron do not count that one.okay nevermind probably because the title says Atlantic
Y U NO PUT HURRICANE HURON?!
You could say hurricane hor was pretty tense
Lucas XXL shush up
Cesar is Bret when it struck Venezuela
They’re on h in September meanwhile we’re in greek
Cool!
I Love E L E M E N T S

You forgot Hurricane Huron
AAAAAAA
This is Atlantic hurricane season not great lakes cyclone season
Lili should've probably been retired that season but it was retired 6 years later anyways so

Edouard: Come Children Follow mee
Fran: yay
Gustav: CYKA BLYAT
A week later...

And now 24 years later we have a record breaking season even despite it being only July (as of me writing this)

Edouard was a beast! Luckily, it didn't make landfall on the East Coast as a major hurricane like Fran just behind it would.
'96 was my second year watching the tropics.
