Why stuff around with excavator. A D7 with a winch would jerk it out in no time.

There ar many company and in my place is the same in the video i think some ar just small and big company, while big company have all kind of machine and small one only have 2 or 3 machine
Because dozer it's more expensive they only use excavator to Log

@@wonnelzoldilock just excavators are not really built for pulling where as A large dozer has alot of drawbar pull and if the dozer cant pull under tracks power than the rope can be run out to where the dozer can get a more stable footing and winch the log to the dozer. If need be the dozer can be anchored in behind a pile of dirt or a tree/stump.

@@benmurray8689 yup that true, in malaysia my place we pulling Log using D6D Cat old dozer becouse new D6R/T ar expensive and im using Excavator to load the log to Truck, but when the dozer broken its me using excavator to pulling the log, and large dozer it's out of questions because of expensive maintenance

@@wonnelzoldilock nothing wrong with a D6D but haven't been built for 30 years. Dad has a Komatsu D60E-8 and is alot simpler than a new dozer and good on fuel. There must have been lots of Komatsu D60 logging King and D70 logging emperor dozers built for the jungles of Asia. Dad only had the 60 for a long time but now has a john Deere grapple skidder and a Komatsu excavator with a grab. The dozer don't get much work nowdays but is needed for steep places, bigger logs and putting in roads and sidecuts
