What always disturbed me is the fact that the guy is in human form, but is covered in blood with a distended gut, implying that he ate his friends while still in human for, and while they were still human. In a game where humans-turned-monsters devour other humans-turned-monsters, this was the first time we see an act of true cannibalism.
Always gets me how in early games with voice acting the tonality and incantation is off. Ending sentences on high notes, swallowing syllables and mispronouncing words harshly. It's funny.
Yeah, hes confronting him and gets forced in the 3rd party slot. At least you can replace him, but if that wasn't an option I would have had to grind him.
@@_Koyomi_ In DDS1 he was a huge liability. Being weak to ailments and nearly everything being able to inflict them. However in DDS2 he's actually one of the preferred party members. Though I'm not exactly sure why. It's the MC, Argilla and your choice of Gale ir Cielo. With most people going Cielo over Gale. In DDS1 the meta team was MC, Argilla and Gale.
Understandable, but it's really not that bad. Cielo isn't even weak to all ailments, he's only weak to Panic, Charm, and Nerve (Sleep and Stun). While still substantial, he isn't any more susceptible to the others than other characters. Thus, he essentially comes with a free elemental resistance, and his weakness can be covered far easier than every other character's elemental weakness. His stats also skew towards agility slightly, so he's also gonna be dodging a lot of shit that would get him anyway. I made him my healing and ailment guy in DDS1, and I stuck with him and Gale as soon as I got him in DDS2.
The boss theme used here is litteraly one of the best tracks in the game, I mostely remember it from the last boss of the EGG revisit, which made sence cause that boss was really epic and emotinal, but it kinda pisses me off that they randomly use it for here for the first time.
Anyone else think that the creators of Digital Devil Saga saw Wakka from Final Fantasy 10 and felt the need to put in their own sole Jamaican-accented character?
@@Suddhadeep Nah, he's also jamaican in JP version, maybe just not with clearer accent. His dialogue about dancing a latin rhythm is from the original too, I believe.
I know some people dont like that design but its dope how they used the classic design instead of the SMT Nocturne one (wouldn't have been as epic either)
