The sad thing about these are that I follow a bunch of asian furries on twitter, and the chinese furry fandom makes some absolutely gorgeous custom fursuits, hell there are a few makers I'd love to get one from if it were somehow possible. But the only ones you ever see over here in the west are these knockoff scam suits.
@@kvjbreaker7054 They likely mean the only CHINESE suits you find over here are scam suits. And that would make sense, because I can imagine the Beijing Gov't generally don't like things to leave China that are this expensive.

I've literally been thinking about purchasing a suit on Amazon . Before you judge , first hear me out . I already have a custom made partial so I would just be using the body suit . It is also a generic black and white character so it's not someones stolen fursona . And if I'm dissatisfied , with Amazon I have the ability to return it . Comments ?
Go for it!!! I think this video is just a warning to beware and keep an eye out of fake listings! Usually I go by reviews, or I just reach out to the manufacturer / seller themselves and ask a few questions if I’m feeling weary! I was told not to buy a headstone on Amazon for my beloved pet that just passed because it may be made cheaply. But I got a beautiful limestone one for $30 from a random seller and I wouldn’t change it for the world! I’d love to see a video of someone actually purchasing a suit from Amazon- maybe you can be the first to test the water for us! Anyhow- I wish you the best of luck on your search for a fluffy suit!
I was wondering why I was seeing so many people on places like facebook buying theses suits.. No idea they started doing thier bs on amazon. Thank you for saying something!
Didn't get too far into the comments so I apologize if it's already been said, but the blue worm is from the Labyrinth with Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie. Such a fun movie.
As a new maker myself, I fully comprehend how hard it is as a new maker to try and get recognition out there in the community. Having all these scams makes it even harder to find people willing to give small time makers a chance. The reluctance is relatable. It's such an amazing thing for you to help people spot these terrible scams. And for those that have never tried making your own suit, the time and skill investment required to make one is borderline insanity. Floofy fur is also an all encompassing addiction, so be careful! Keep up the amazing videos!
I honestly believe there are websites where you can technically sell fursuit related material but honest to god its not worth it because its not the main focus; susceptible to being scammed etc. Examples being Amazon, ebay (unless your star rating is 100% positive). This is why I prefer actual websites like dealers den or Etsy (where I got my premade) because its more personal, no big corporate mass produced knock offs and directly shines the spotlight on fursuit related material from people in the know-how. I'm sticking to the aforementioned ones because they worked for me + a quick research on the seller, reviews + product descriptions are all important things when it comes to deciding if things are legit or scam. As always, these videos are really informative. Thanks for sharing with us!
That thing at the end is a character from an 80s movie, the labyrinth. Realy good cult classic Jim Hanson and George Lucas movie. Has David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly. Well worth a movie night.
I think imma make my own suit. On budget. Not buying ripoffs. There are cheaper options. Can't afford them fursuits. Quite expensive. And there are more important things for me to buy in life than a fursuit
As someone whos VERY first fursuit was a scam one (was stolen from tessa the husky by pheonixwolfsuits i think they’re called) THANK YOU for warning everyone to not making the same mistake I did
I think I got a decent raccoon costume a few years back on Amazon cheap but I loved it haha it was a simple mascot costume if a storm didn't ruin it I would have kept it cause I wanted to get the feet and hands separate later

But I wish everyone purchases were like mine exact thing what’s pictured. Ty ash for doing videos like these it helps me with my purchases keep them up
I remember a site dedicated to these scams, however instead of just not existing, they came looking low quality. I did see a 5 star review of a woman who likes to entertain her children in the costume, only to find out that thr dress the fursuit came with was just a zebra printed rag and the suit itself wasn’t nearly as nice as in the images
Beware of amazon in general because even a legitimate looking listing could be a bot boosted product. Most online shops outside of actual major retail stores with brick and mortar stores are pretty sketchy in my opinionated -Ace
Also, I firmly believe these online shops like Amazon, Ebay, etc. would rather have fake and potentially dangerous knock-off products on their site since they make money off of the sellers. The more sellers they have the more money they make. They literally have no incentive to remove literally anything since -for example- if amazon got fined for a product on their store being illegal to sell or breaks copyright in any way, they'll at most be fined a small amount and will have gained that money back in seconds. Fighting the giants is an uphill battle, so I avoid online shopping as much as possible so they don't get my money, even if it's an insignificant amount -Ace

5:52 I’ve seen those on Pinterest via annoying ads. They always end up going to a Shopify scam and it always ends up being a dollar store mask. So, I believe that’s from one of those Shopify scammers. And the name “Ochine” is something you’d see a lot for the names of these shops. They constantly register domains and make names using either generators and/or just smashing their head into the keyboard. Another one i’ve seen is an “ultra realistic” shark pet (which uses stolen videos of a 3d artist/animator/VFX artist) are also another bait Shopify scam. People receive a knockoff Ikea shark or something like a plastic shark toy from McDonald’s. A third known Shopify scam is a “realistic puppy”. They use a video of a cute puppy playing, laying or bouncing around (they are all stolen videos, btw) and people have received a terrible bootleg puppy plush or a plastic toy.
to be fair, raw materials used in a full fursuit "can" clock in under 400 dollars. you "can" also use the really expensive stretch fur and quickly get in to the thousands for the raw mats. but if you can make it yourself, the listed "scam" prices are plausible. just, who is going to work for like 2.00 an hour? maybe 1.00 an hour? thats the main reason fursuits cost a lot, time and skilled labor. they are often custom built and getting any custom clothing is far more expensive than generic stuff. the design form(the body) used is a loose fit mascot pattern it seems. as for special species, complex patterns or unique characteristics, those are sort of red flags (imo) for a "mass produced" option. usually thats something that would be one off designs as partials as those can be already completed when listed. a body suit needs to be more custom fit or its going to be loose. too big or to small or too tight for someone who buys it. but generic designs, you kind of have to accept that more than one person has that same character. example: not too many all white dogs or cats can exist before the concept is saturated
Literally nobody should buy fursuits from shopping sites, only buy fursuit commissions from trustworthy fursuit makers that can make one of your own fursona, cause these pictures are certainly stolen from the original owners of the suits and the photographers of the suits
I would even recommend going to an actual fursuit maker to get your fursuit. Amazon is good for some things, but not fursuits. plus going to an actual fursuit maker you will get a one of a kind fursuit that is yours alone and the quality will be much better.
