3 phase testing from a single phase tester just requires some thought. I made up a lead with crocodile clips and 3 phase ends linked together, so there are five clips. The three 'live' clips are attached to each phase pin on the plug. Necessary for us because we test so many different types of equipment with every single and three phase plug ever made. Remember that certain tests liven the appliance, so care and awareness is needed when selecting tests and handling adaptor leads like these.
Just got a plus 2 today. it took me a while playing with it and i almost took it back .... when doing the leakage test, you edited out / cut away / didnt mention you needed to push the button again to start the test... so there it is beeping away and then it was timing out because i hadnt started.... I couldnt see any where a description of what it means when it says 'stop' ..... I thought it was telling me to stop and get the appliance checked.... but after checking a number of items both class 1 and 2 i figured they wernt all broken :)
And in all fairness, a manufacturer could not supply an adaptor lead like this, nor can they show testing with it, because it simply wouldn't comply with manufacturing safety standards. They also have to think about the wide range of competencies of people who would use this equipment, adaptor leads like this are not for casual users. Hopefully, casual users are not testing industrial class equipment in the first place...

ok so when are you going to show us 3 phase testing with this appliance?
And how would one test a power board (EPOD) with surge protection? Thanks
You're welcome
