Ideally whenever you can you want to hit s.HP on block, since that allows you to go into 236 MK safely, even against Drive impact it recovers in time to DI yourself. Otherwise if the frames won’t allow it I go for 4MP, s.MP into either 236LK/ 236KK or 214K/ 214KK. Of course ideally you want to establish that you are willing to make your blockstring tight before trying to command grab after s.MP.
I think it depends on how far the 236MP hits. You’ll get a bit of a feel for it with practice, But tbh sometimes I don’t even know which side it will hit lol, just have to be ready to DR into the right direction on hit

Keyboard number pad notations. Assume your character is facing right: 789 456 123 6 means holding foward so 6HK means foward heavy kick. Neutral stick position is 5 and blocking low is holding 1. This is usually used on anime fighting game jargon.

Ah, my issue has been if I input the second 214.PP too quickly, it blows up one of the first tears. So the first time I got it to work it felt like I had to wait like a frame or two after the 236.M. Is that how you think of it?

Correction: First drive impact combo says stand light punch even though it needs to be crouching
For one of your combos, I can’t land the third drive impact, I do the whole combo right but the last one DI doesn’t land.
How do you continue the combo from 0:11 ? I’m stuck at the 236 MK part. Everytime I do it, the dummy just blocks.
It's a reset, not a combo. Check damage scaling to see.

you have to manually time 236MK after 236MP, so it hits super late. took me a bit of practice aswell but you can do it!

You can do the second 214PP earlier than you think, directly buffer s.hp after and you should be good
