I bought the tanto version K320 Nitron Knife Center exclusive in the s30v stonewashed,, and it has become my most often used edc knife. Very fidgety, and I have grown to like the texture of the Hogue Sig Sauer polymer handles. This knife is literally straight and to the point. love it.
For $hits and giggles, try the pointer finger flick, as opposed to the middle finger spidey fliok.
I like the rounded out safety choil.
Hey what ever works right
I’m glad to finally see this on the channel, heard great things about it but I won’t really consider I knife unless I see your review first! If your a righty/lefty and won’t ever worry about the clip I’d take sand paper and really smooth down that clip area to help with that even more.
Absolutely I probably will
I hope we see this in magnacut someday. I think Hogue does some of the best factory edges!
Wonder if the quick stud will fit thru the hole. That’ll quite nice
Didn't think of that
@@NeevesKnives does it? If it does post in IG
Zip tie should be fine.
Good idea. Place it upside down in the opening hole.
I plan to just open the hole up on mime with my Dremel and files.
I've had the tanto version of this and it's great! My only gripe is it shakes open. It's almost easier to open it by doing that than using the hole
IL keep that in mind next time I jump out of a tree while it's in my pocket 👊
@@NeevesKnives I think you'll be safe as long as it's a short tree
@@jarodhall1910 damnit..... I like the big ones
That’s what she said
It's not as satisfying as it would be with a bigger hole😄
That's what she said😄
I just bought a riffle as a gift and I can't wait to get in mail and play with the hole😄
And yes...i will open it and play with it before I gift it....cant help myself
Thats a fun hole to play with on that one lol
Only problem I had with mine is 5 weeks after I got it the spring broke on one side of the lock. It will get smoother and hopefully mine was just a dud. Thanks Jerad.
I have one, Coyote Tanto blade with serrations. The omega spring is WAY stiffer than that on my Benchmade knives, and I hate, hate, hate the polymer scales. They are SLIPPERY in my hand. Unfortunately, I haven't seen anybody making aftermarket scales for it. I want to love the knife, and instead I'm on the edge of disliking it.
Great video man. You will love the Decca it’s insane.
Cool video thanks. I picked up the automatic a couple of months ago what a bargain.
I think considering it’s USA made 130 is a fair price. PLEASE test the auto version. I respect your opinion and it will help me decide which one to get. I want one but don’t see the need to get both.
I grabbed the coated black blade from BladeHQ on Black Friday for $118! 🍻 but my biggest complaint about the hogue is they tune them for the able lock flick so much that you can actually flock the blade open by flicking your wrist. I don’t like that and wish they mirrored Benchmade more. I’ve found Benchmade won’t open with a wrist flick. FYI my Deka and Doug Ritter omega springs broke and Hogue replaced them both back in hand inside 3 weeks. Great support for there knives. You’ll likely need it at some point with the omega spring 😂👍🏼
Yeah I keep extras lying around 👊
I have the hogue deca with the wharncliff blade in the dark earth G10. I love that knife. There is the new deca out now with deep pocket clip and less screws.
Is that the only difference the clip and screws?
@@NeevesKnives New smaller liners too!
ive been thinking about this knife for some time, its the poor mans Arius, i think the polymer is the same material they use to make guns
Yeah I'm pretty sure it is
Gonna try a couple different thumb studs on mine. The hole is too small .
That exact knife I’m going to get after Christmas. Is that small hole the only deployment? That’s one thing I don’t like. Maybe it’s not the knife for me!
The hole and able lock
Hogue deka is nice, .8 thick blade, i got the blue sheepcliffe. Fun fact, i actualy got stabbed in the chest with it 😂😂😂... Dont ask. Chicks be crazy
IL let my imagination run with that one
@@NeevesKnives yeah better it be that way, if I talk too much it may happen again LOL
I want to take my Dremel to the opening hole. It doesn't even look right let alone work right. It needs to be larger.
Agreed
I've been eyeing these since they came out. I wish the coyote tan version wasn't serrated. I've looked everywhere.
I've heard pretty great things about the k320
It's a worker for sure
I am actually looking at this knife in Tanto to tell the wife to get me for Xmas
There ya go
Good call on this knife. If you place skateboard tape on over the small hole and it fits the
overall aesthetic presentation. My finger hits the tape and the blade fires out quickly.
Great video!I hope Hogue make a 4 inch blade version of this with slightly larger thumb hole...wishful thinking!!!!!!!
Bang!
S30v takes a really nice edge! My Shaman in S30V takes a wicked sharp edge, very aggressive
Put the Kwik thumb stud inside that lil hole closer to the handle. Hell I’d almost put that law in a vise on a drill press n make that hole lil bigger and you may not need it
The knife opens how it opens. I would never modify the knife for a reverse flick. If it does it as designed, great, but if the designer meant that to be the way to open it, they would have designed it that way...
This knife feels great doing a nice smooth thumb role. Speed it up with a little flick. Its all it needs, really.
I don't understand why Hogue made their new Sig Sauer K320 in CPM S30V? Because most of the knives that Hogue has released in the last couple of years(Deka, and mini/full-sized RSK MK1-G2 which are KnifeWorks exclusives) have been all made in 20CV.
Well I'm sure it was a choice by Sig trying to make a buck while still keeping it affordable
@@NeevesKnives I understand that, but at the same time choosing S30V is a big turn off for a lot of potential buyers👍
I have had the stonewashed tanto now for about 8 months now. It is one of my favorites. With the clip try not squeezing the clip when pulling it out of the pocket. When I open the knife I just pull back on the lock and flip.
If the thumb stud can be inserted in the hole, it makes for a nicer appearance, and does not interfere with thumb placement on the spine. For this model it is not really necessary as muscle memory and break-in defeat the need for a thumb stud. Different models can use the screw on stud inserted into a hole if present, for better action.
Very cool knife, priced pretty good for the materials also. Definately would prefer a small sharpening choil on this knife. Thanks for the look see Jerad and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable.
That thing looks pretty nice!
I have the 320 Auto because I thought the thumb hole was too small. Overall I really like the knife.
I love that type of stippling on polymer! Neat knife!
Jared, has the knife broken in yet? Is the action still mushy?
You’d be a great mafia boss. Once it gets annoying, just take it out! 😂
Lol
Been seeing this knife around alot lately looks like a good worker , thanks Neeves
I bought the auto and it didn't come with a pocket clip. It's nice because the stippling Is exactly like it is on my P320 X compact. Just a little pissed it was shipped without a pocket clip and Knifejoy doesn't have any to send me a replacement, I'll call houge tomorrow and get them to send me one.
Yeah Hogue will take care of it, but damnit you think that would have been caught smh
Lefty edc spidey flick lol. I cracked up.
Love mine
Boom ! so nice knife mate 😎
great video
Recently got a deka v2 and the knifecenter stonewashed tanto s30v k320. Very impressed with both.
I'd pick the deka over the base bugout and the k320 over the base griptilian. Good pricing for USA made blades. Best feature is that able, abel? lock. Both knives drop shut nicely. Agree that the hole is a tad small on the k320, but just a little wrist and it deploys just fine. Also like the little ridges on the clip, makes pulling it out of the pocket really easy.
For sure, mines gotten incredibly smooth and is very solid
Thanks for the thoughts! Keep up the content!
👋 👊 🙏 you guys are awesome! THANK YOU!!!
Love it
Kwik stud on the K320?! Blasphemous
Actually the K320 seems like the Griptilian and the shaman had a baby named K320.
So true
Yet another reason why I hate deep carry pocket clips. Regardless of the grippiness of the handle, if I have a little bit of knife to grab onto I never have troubles getting it outa my pocket. The other thing would be the egregious hotspot they introduce. Some more than others but pretty much all of em do to an annoying point imo. I hate that I'm in the minority. It seems like everyone clamors for a deep carry clip. Why!?? Everyone knows it's a knife anyway? And who cares if they know. It's a pocket knife! Rant over. Lol. I've heard you mention the hotspot issue several times so for that, I'm appreciative. I'm still waiting for that one UA-camr that hates them as much as me to make a stand and change the tide.
I usually have better ergos with non deep carry, sometimes I like deep carry especially if I'm carrying multiple things just because I'd rather see only clips that a bunch of things hanging put, although carrying my leather organizer kind of helps with that so I only need my knife in my right pocket. So now I don't care if it's deep carry or not I just want it to function good and be comfortable
Fair play HOGUE make some nice pieces not many models but the ones they have put out are rather nice. Or should I say hit my giggle spot in my marshmallow mind! Have a cracking day Jared stay safe and healthy brother 😉👍
👊
👍👍👍👍👍
Also how do I contact you for a sharpening ? I have a Recon 1 tanto that needs your rescuing.
Contact me on Instagram or email I link them at the bottom of the description, it's it's not there just try a different video
The civivi cogent is great for the qwik stud. Try it out! Tell me what you think.
Good idea
I have the blacked out tanto version. Love it!! I think I want to try the Deka. ✌️
I do as well
yes!! the audio is fixed!!!
Yeah for some reason my editor is making me adjust it with every video, idk why it originally is all going to one side, so hopefully I remember every single time to adjust it or figure out another editing ap
About 1/3 more dosh, but the Hogue Ritter RSK get the nod over this one.
I think so too!Would love a 4 inch blade Hogue Ritter RSK and even a Deka.
4:05 - 4:12 Funny, usually you here people say the opposite. 😂😬
😆 🤣
Iv found the same to be true between s30v and s35vn except a civivi pintail in s35vn I guess with the thinness at the edge it gets very keen man
And s35 was turn off for me until that knife love the edge it takes that thin
They are also doing good heat treats on there steels that result in keener edges
With the quick studs it looks like a funny looking dragon
