After watching some of your videos I realize that 90% of what people teach on UA-cam is mostly wrong or miss guided. It feels like they want to seem more professional than they are. Or that for a bedroom producer it dossent matter, cuz the songs won't be played in a club, only on their home speaker. =) You are really teaching me a lot, and its easy to understand. Thank you!=)

Another excellent tutorial.. You show how to use and apply what you are explaining. Many others just go down a list of what they can do without showing you how to apply it.
"Show don't tell" is something that I've learned from one of my mentors. I try to apply it as good as I can :) To add to this, I do my best to then also tell the "why" behind it. My hope is that the people who watch the videos adopt the mental modals (if they want) and immediately implement them. Thanks for noticing and for your kind words. I really appreciate it!

You might try to contact them as a YT influencer and get the latest version. I've had two updates and it just keeps getting better and better..
Started watching your tutorials, so far among the best yet so I'm following.... I am producing psy trance but I think most rules work regardless even if there are some universal differences also in between the techno World and (psy) trance.. Thanks a lot for great tutorials!

Comparing frequency content between your track and a reference track can sometimes be pointless. If for example in the reference track there's an open hihat throughout the song, and in your track there's not, of course the highend is gonna look different. And it won't help to use an eq to raise the highend in your track, rather, it will most likely ruin the balance of your track. Because you're trying to amplify something that's not there. If you really want that same highend energy as in the reference track, you might instead think about introducing a similar (open hihat-ish) sound in your track. Which will take you back to the arrangement.

After using side chaining for years, only a few of my tracks sounded as I intended them to. At least when it comes to the kick and the bass. I am curious on how your method will turn out. Currently I am working on a project and without even using compression or mastering, it sounds really fat and dope. So I hope it will as well after I export it. Critical listening is a fundamental skill I am trying to learn that really needs good direction and explanation with actual sounds to compare so thanks again for some insight there. Awesome vid. For some reason the free SPAN analyzer plug-in it's in Demo mode so it mutes audio from time to time. Do I need to make on account on their website ? It asks me to "buy" the software / add a license , but if it's free, how so ?
With “they” you mean streaming services? If so, it’s integrated. This isn’t ideal, of course, but over a long, diverse playlist it obviously is the most consistent outcome. That’s why I recommend to master for the right “feeling of density” that a track needs (looking especially at the short term values in the loudest parts, then double checking the rest).
Great tutorial! It gave me overall understanding of the spectrum analyzer tool and ways to implement it in my mixing sessions. I'm pretty sure training my ears to pick up and interpret the information will be the more difficult part of the learning process, but I set my foot on the right path 😅 Greetings from Poland, thank you for sharing your knowledge :)
