Universal Brain - Is the Universe a Living Entity?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 лют 2025
- Is the universe just a vast, lifeless expanse, or is there something more - something conscious, alive, perhaps even self-aware? Could the cosmos be more than a collection of stars and galaxies scattered across empty space? What if we are all part of a larger mind, an immense, cosmic brain where each galaxy is like a neuron, working in concert with others?
Is it possible that consciousness didn’t emerge randomly but was an intrinsic part of the universe from the very beginning? Could our thoughts, emotions, and experiences be tiny reflections of the universe’s own awareness? If the universe is indeed conscious, then what role do we play in it? Are we merely observers, or are we active participants, helping the cosmos understand itself?
Why do the laws of physics seem so perfectly tuned for life? Could it be that the universe “chose” conditions that allow consciousness to flourish? And if so, is there a purpose to this grand design?

nothing we are composed of is unique to the universe, so we are the universe.
Beautifully said! The fact that we are composed of the same elements as the stars reinforces the idea that we are deeply connected to the universe. Perhaps our consciousness is the universe experiencing itself through us-an extraordinary thought!
I just posted this same comment pretty much. If you don't feel your connection to the universe and everything and everyone in it, eat more mushrooms or switch to dee-em-tea.
How unique is 1 out of infinite?
Sir, we are more unique than the number infinite itself. So I'm sorry whoever hurt you, whoever made you cry tonight, but God loves you

(18:25) Could the universe itself be on a journey of self-awareness, evolving just like we do? What if we’re all playing a role in helping it realize its own existence? 🌠
This is how I like to think about it. We’re the universe becoming self aware of itself. It kind of makes me feel all warmly when I do.
@@matthilton69 That's a beautiful way to look at it! It's fascinating to think of us as the universe becoming self-aware, like we're a reflection of the cosmos itself. It really brings a sense of connection and wonder, doesn't it? Almost like we're all part of a much larger story unfolding.
I've believed this theory for years but have only been looking into it in the last few months. This video hits the nail on the head. I believe all of our concioussness' will combine to become one conscious being, and we are most likely in the brain of a foetus who hasn't developed its own consciousness yet
Is it possible that there is a living entity we don't comprehend that created neurons, universes, big bangs, and all things? Large numbers of people already believe this.
That’s a profound question! The idea of an incomprehensible entity behind the creation of everything, from neurons to universes, is indeed shared by many across different cultures and beliefs. While science focuses on uncovering the mechanisms of the universe, such questions remind us of the vast mystery that still surrounds existence and inspire both curiosity and wonder.
No
No reason to posit something outside of experience. That's called fantasy.
@Knaeben And people have experienced it! It is written over long periods of time. There has been proof of the writing. Doctors who didn't believe speak of miracles, atheists speak of miracles. Keep YOUR fantasy if you'd like.
@@Knaeben While some find meaning in the idea of a higher entity or force, others prioritize empirical evidence and what can be observed directly. Perhaps the beauty lies in how these perspectives, though different, push us to explore deeper truths about existence. Both science and belief systems have their own ways of inspiring curiosity and offering comfort in understanding the universe.
Thanks!
Thank you for your support! I deeply appreciate it.
You notice how all matter in the universe smashes together to form planets then those planets end up floating around each other forming solar systems and galaxies? Now imagine all matter over the course of X years separating based on density... like how oil and water separate. Different densities of different objects floating around causes gravity to form waves like the tidal waves in our own ocean. Imagine this... ocean to land, land to air, air to space....
The idea of matter separating by density and creating gravitational effects is intriguing. It aligns with how heavier elements settle in planetary cores while lighter ones rise to the surface.
@@explorationnewreachesthey’re more dense heavy is a byproduct
Such a beautiful hypothesis! I have thought the universe is aware since childhood and as I grow older I feel more and more connected to the universe. Now if science ever proves its awareness I will love the blessing of that connection even more.❤
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt perspective! It's amazing how deeply you've connected with this idea since childhood. Science may one day reveal even more wonders, and that connection will only grow stronger. ❤
@nannawalling you are part of the universe. You are distilled star dust, every atom in you was once in a star. You are part of the universe. And guess what, you are conscious. So yes the universe is not just conscious, it has seemingly infinite types of consciousness. From small animals to people. You just disconnected yourself from the universe with the idea you are separate from the universe. You are not. You are just another conscience part of it.
Which is CRAZY when you think about it!
Blessed - You're so hot it would melt lava itself.
This isn't new. It doesn't make sense and the only thing new is that they created a video about it.
We are not separate from the universe. All things in the universe are of the universe..including consciousness. Our body’s are star dust our consciousness is a type of energy that we have not discovered and may never discover outside of ourselves…we simply are not advanced enough to measure it in the cosmos. Like most things in the universe it is something that we cannot see or touch which is the state of most of the universe.
You’ve touched on a powerful idea-that we are intimately connected to the universe, both materially and energetically. The concept that our bodies are made of stardust aligns with scientific understanding, as we are literally composed of elements forged in the hearts of stars. The notion that consciousness may be a form of energy yet to be understood also resonates with both philosophical and scientific inquiries into the nature of reality. Indeed, much of the universe remains beyond our immediate perception, from dark matter to the deeper aspects of consciousness. Perhaps, as our technology and understanding evolve, we will uncover new ways to explore the unseen forces that shape our existence.
It is written:
“There is nothing new under the sun”. What was, still is; what can be, already is; what is wanted, we already have.
I can not sleep when watching this video! So attractive
So English, yes
For sure the Universe is a live entity.
Viewing the universe as a living entity aligns with ideas from both ancient philosophies and modern science, like Gaia theory or the concept of panpsychism. It’s fascinating to think about how everything might be interconnected in ways we’re just beginning to understand.
Neither speed or distance is an impediment for the delivery of information in the Universe because the Universe is everywhere the information is.
WE ARE THE ALIENS IN THE FUTURE WHO HAVE COME BACK TO VISIT AND HELP US CHANGE OUR FUTURE WE ARE IMMORTAL LIVING FOREVER IN DIFFERENT FORMS AT DIFFERENT TIMES.
YES!!! FINALLY! SUMMED IT UP PERFECTLY...MAY THE UNIVERSE BLESS YOU WITH JOY...
Recently I read the Vazza-Feletti paper that described the amazing similarities between the human brain and the cosmic web. The math was way beyond me but the conclusions were very compelling. When the same ratio was applied to several aspects of the two, uncanny parallels in composition, capacity and structure were revealed. I would suggest that they compare cosmic expansion to growth patters found in Earth's biota as well....who knows?
This has been my perception and belief. I think the universe is simply a living entity. We are just some unique creatures oriented within the supernatural and highest entity.
Seeing the universe as a living entity with us as parts of its grand design aligns with ideas of interconnectedness and universal consciousness. If we’re part of a greater being, perhaps our thoughts and actions contribute to its awareness. How do you think our role as "unique creatures" fits into this larger living system?
@@explorationnewreaches Hey, it's called God. G-O-D
The answer is YESS
Love hold everything together from largest to smallest
That’s a beautiful thought! In a way, love can be seen as a unifying force, just as gravity holds galaxies together and electromagnetism binds atoms.
It is very beautiful, think of the big bang or whatever you want to call it as the birth of God and space and all things within are to some degree alive. Our consciousness lives inside our brain but our brain doesn't live within our consciousness. Just like microscopic matter like cells, DNA, bacteria, etc., live within our bodies. We are worlds within worlds, we are far more complex than we can possibly understand and so is the universe. It's beautiful to realize just how limitless the potential of the universe is and just what we could become both in the future and in spirit. Combining spiritualism with physics has really opened doors for me at a time I needed it most.
It’s wonderful to see how combining spiritualism and physics has brought you clarity and inspiration.
I feel the exact same way! I’m changing so much. I feel so called to this knowledge/research/theory
Why assume that the Big Bang as the beginning of G*d. As someone who reads The Bible every day and also studies physics, we haven't even actually confirmed the Theory of The Big Bang. James Webb Telescope constantly unveils new galaxies that aren't supposed to be older than the occurrence of The Big Bang but to all scientific data analyzed it seems apparently, they are. And what about more than just one Universe? The Metaverse containing many Universes. This video is a tempting anthropomorphism, and it isn't something I necessarily disagree with. And while I'm really glad you have spirituality in the beauty of what we know as The Universe and what we call G*d I can't just think of the birth of G*d as being at the start of what we call our Universe. G*d for me is older than The Big Bang...whatever that means. And until we can actually make the jump that The Universe is a Living Being as suggested by "consciousness" or what I'll call having the perception of something we call experience of our own reality I may want to emotionally make the leap you have but scientifically I just can't. Do I believe in G*d, yes, do I believe that The Metaverse is somehow "sentient" I do. But that's just my desire. And what about The Voids? The Largest things in the Universe(s) - are they conscious? Void of anything material, not even atoms and being wells upon wells of nothing into deeper nothing what would that be? How is that consciousness? what "Universe" is conscious in nothing? I FEEL much like you do. However, I know that is just a feeling. And that we still don't know anything.
Ok so we all individually make up a whole, and we're each just a fragment of a higher collection of 1. So that means that if you take the whole and split it up into infinite little pieces, that means that the truly evil people that rape and kill for fun are parts of the whole. This means that the whole is just a giant collection of the spectrum of emotions which doesn't make it any more special than a regular person who goes through times of happiness, anger, doubt, humility, sadness, excited etc. Thinking that there are higher non physical entities in other planes that are capable of some sort of special awareness that is a collection of everything is conflicting because it is also made up of bad things and not just nice special love emotions.
We wouldn’t be able to understand the true concept of happiness and need for a world without war without experiencing the effects of that first hand. It’s so fucked and there is certain things I cannot fathom. But it does represent a darker part of the collective consciousness the shadow that is within us all. I can only hope that humanity learns from its mistakes. But remember duality.
@Faebaeeee, the part of the universal brain that holds humans seems to be the part with ADHD and a fundamental error that prevents learning through experience.
Well - free will is certainly at play with this one.
The answer is yes I did not watch the video, but I know the answer. ever-expanding every evolving consciousness. Light energy and information.
Thank you for your comment! The idea of ever-expanding, evolving consciousness tied to light, energy, and information is truly fascinating. It echoes theories in quantum physics and metaphysics about the universe as a dynamic, interconnected system. If you have a chance to watch the video, I’d love to hear your thoughts on how it connects to your perspective!
Just a thought but isn't it just
quintessentially human to wonder if the universe doesn't exist if we aren't there to observe it? So tiny to be so full of ourselves! Great stuff, I have always loved contemplating the universe from the super tiny to the super large, our place in the universe and if it has any meaning.
Your comment touches on an important philosophical question-the anthropocentric bias in how we interpret the universe. It is deeply human to wonder if our observation gives reality its meaning, yet the universe operates independently of our existence, vast beyond our comprehension. The beauty lies in the paradox: we are tiny, yet capable of contemplating the infinite. That capacity to reflect might not make us the center of the cosmos, but it does connect us to it in a profound way.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, your curiosity adds depth to this exploration!
Putting the trinity of religion within this without naming a single individual one may help to imagine this as possible. Imagine the universe is the mother and father and all of its offspring= everything.
Thank you for sharing this thought-provoking analogy!
Not a being a man of religion, I just want to say that God might be the intelligence of the universe. For those afraid or who refuse to even acknowledge God, just change the name and it all fits. Like I said Im not at all religious, dont go to church, etc. Just sayin' its a possibility
Of course, even if not the god of one of our religions we would still call that being a god. But maybe we shouldn’t? The size of the universe and the fact we live in it may not denote that it is a greater being at all.
@danieldemayo6209 ...it's a really deep deep thought experiment for sure
The notion of a God is a simplistic human construct. Yes, the universe is most probably an intelligent and conscious form, but to reduce to a concept of a God would be as simplistic as how the cargo cult tribes of the Amazon would build wooden effigies of airplanes, believing them to be gods and not knowing that there is a much deeper layer of reality behind what those airplanes are.
@@darkmatter6714 There's absolutely nothing about God that is simplistic. You were just born to hate him. You were born to worship the devil, let's be honest
@@darkmatter6714 To think that we are gods, to think that this is all some big coincidence, is truly the most foolish, low IQ, low developed understanding of them all. And also to assume that pre-existing humans were stupid is far, far, far from reality

Thank you for your kind words! The mysteries of the universe and consciousness inspire deep exploration and reflection. While I can't claim any extraordinary experience, I believe curiosity and a willingness to think beyond the surface allow us all to touch the profound. What are your thoughts on the role of non-human intelligence in shaping our understanding of existence?
The atoms in my finger were inside a star once. A star typed a comment on youtube. Im part star 😅
It’s incredible to think we all carry a part of the stars within us. The universe truly is amazing, isn’t it? Thank you for sharing such a creative perspective!
The Urantia Revelation said that also, like a living entity, living organism with its control and supporting systems
The idea of control and supporting systems makes me wonder: could this be a way to bridge the gap between scientific inquiry and spiritual understanding?
You answered your question in the first nine seconds of this video.
But you overlook the fact that you are part of this universe.
Plus this world is a zoo, full of animals.
Not separate entities of it.
We did not come from different realities. This universe this cosmos is reality.
No matter it's form it's still of the same.
Or it would not be.
We could be the first time the universe was ever self-aware.
It could be far and wide.. Or were the first spark in the dark.
Thank you for your profound insights. Our understanding is limited, while the vast universe out there holds countless mysteries waiting to be uncovered.
A possible postulation explaining the expansion of the universe may simply be growth. Meaning a billion years could be likened to one year growth of a human being. The universe is but a teenager.
This video is the closest I've heard to describing reality. Well done.

We r a dream of the universe
Applying logic here. If the universe displays strikingly and haunting similarities to a human brain (which is part of a living conscious organism), then can this be a coincidence?
What is the chances that the fabric of reality we live in being created in such a way? In a way that literally mirrors or reflects our own bodies?
Considering we know how extraordinarily big the universe is and how tiny we are in it, I’d say the chances are pretty much as close to zero as it gets.
This logically points to a creator who has created the universe with intelligent design. They created it for us to inhabit, and created us along with it.
That creator provides us with many signs for us, so that we may ponder about their existence.
This seems to be the only plausible or logical conclusion when you think about the astronomical odds.
Your comment raises profound points about the universe’s design and its resemblance to the human brain. The structural similarity between the cosmic web and neural networks is indeed striking, and it naturally invites questions about whether this is mere coincidence or indicative of a deeper connection.
However, the interpretation that this points to a creator hinges on perspective. Some see these patterns as evidence of intelligent design, while others might argue that such structures emerge naturally through self-organizing principles in physics. Complexity often arises spontaneously in nature, such as in fractals or cellular patterns, without the need for a guiding intelligence.
The “astronomical odds” argument is compelling but can be challenged. If the universe has billions of galaxies and vast spans of time, then improbable outcomes-like the emergence of intelligent life-become almost inevitable. From another viewpoint, the universe's conditions might not be designed for us but rather we, as part of it, have adapted to fit those conditions.
That said, your conclusion beautifully emphasizes the human need to ponder existence and seek meaning. Whether through divine creation or natural processes, the universe inspires awe and reflection. Do you think the resemblance between ourselves and the cosmos is more likely a reflection of shared laws of physics or a purposeful design?
@ a very thoughtful response with many compelling points! Very thought provoking to read.
I want to focus on some aspects, in particular about the inevitability of self organising structures.
Take the mobile phone that I am watching this video on. Did the particles needed to create this mobile come together on their own? If you left all the required particles out in the universe, even for billions of years, would they inevitably and eventually come together in such a way where it becomes a mobile phone?
I would argue that it simply never would. The phone was created with intelligent design, and was built with a purpose by its creator - to make calls, take pictures, send emails etc.
Now take human beings. Humans are infinitely more complex creations. Our eyes are far more sophisticated than the camera. Our brains are far more complex than the motherboard. When we get cut, our skin repairs itself. When we are attacked by other organisms, our cells come together to attack the intruders. When the DNA of a single human (which is literally a complex code, for which even if 1 component is missing then defects arise) is extended out in a line it will travel to the sun and back 4 times.
So what makes us conclude that all the particles in the universe needed to create such an intelligent and sophisticated creation came together by themselves?
If there was a creator of the universe, I would argue that they would have to possess certain attributes.
They would have to be eternal, I.e. nothing came before them and they must exist outside of time and space as we know it. Otherwise we would ask - what came before the Big Bang? A creator? What came before the creator? Nothing? And what came before the nothing? And it would go on forever in a loop and we would arrive at the infinite regression model.
Secondly, that creator must possess huge amounts of energy, which is required to create the Big Bang, continue expanding the universe, etc. so the creator must be all-powerful.
In many religious texts, the creator describes themselves as having these attributes, which I find interesting.
So far, this might seem to be more plausible than chaos self-governing itself into infinitely complex structures, but I am open to all theories!
Another thing to ponder is why have other animals not evolved to the same level as humans by this time? I.e. be able to build technology and structures that encompass and control the Earth. Surely, as they have had the same amount of time (billions of years) to evolve, we would expect to see bird, fish, reptile or even bug like creatures with similar intelligence to us humans? Why are we the exclusive stewards of the Earth?
From probabilities alone, it is certainly stacked in our favour. And it makes one wonder!

APPLYING LOGIC HERE TOO, WHO CREATED THE CREATOR? CAN YOU LOGICALLY EXPLAIN THAT TO ME?🙃🙃🙃
@@StanTheman-u2z Who created the creator?
In order for the creator to be the creator, they must have certain attributes. They must be eternal, i.e. existing forever. Or alternatively- they must exist outside of time and space as we comprehend it. Both scenarios would cause the creator to have be eternal by default (according to our concept of time). If something exists forever, then by default it must have not been created.
And it would make sense for the creator to exist outside of our universe. Say, if I create a mobile phone, I am not part of it. I exist separate to it. In the same way, the creator of the universe is separate to his creation.
If the creator did not have this attribute (eternality), then otherwise we would ask: SO the universe was created by the Big Bang? Ok, so what created the Big Bang? A creator? What was there before the creator? Nothing? What was there before the nothing? And it would go on forever in a loop and we would arrive at something called infinite regression model - where there is no beginning and the series of queries can theoretically go on forever.
If our minds’ understanding of time and space is limited to what is observable in the universe, then we have to concede the following: We won’t ever know what exists outside of our universe, or what lies beyond it. If it is proven that the universe is expanding, then what is it expanding into? Into empty nothingness? How much of the nothingness is there? Does it go on for infinite or is there a limited amount of it? What lies is beyond the nothing? Why isn’t the nothingness just part of our universe? Why is the nothingness there? Was it always there? How did the nothingness come about? How did something (the universe) come from nothing because according to physics that is impossible? Etc etc.
This line of questioning is very similar to asking: what came before the creator?
And is OKAY to not have all the answers because we are limited beings, who are confined to this universe for the time being and cannot comprehend how everything works in our universe let alone how things work outside it.
Take our understanding of dimensions. The 4th dimension is entirely plausible according to physicists. A theoretical 4 dimensional cube is called a teseract. However, we can’t comprehend it. Just like a circle drawn on a piece of paper, a 2 dimensional being would have no concept of what a 3D plane is. Its entire existence is limited to a that 2D surface, therefore it’s impossible for it to understand or observe a 3D plane with its eyes and brain. In the same way, we are 3D beings who cannot comprehend a 4 dimensional plane. It simply does not compute in our minds or for our eyes. Who knows how many dimensions there could be right in front of us? Perhaps theoretically that’s where invisible spooky ghosts might reside! One thing is for sure, we are certainly limited beings, therefore we cannot see or comprehend every single thing about the universe around us. It would be arrogant to say we aren’t.

Interesting perspective, but perhaps it's worth considering another view. Rather than being a 'virus,' humanity could be seen as a neural spark-an early, imperfect attempt by the universe to explore self-awareness. Chaos often precedes growth, and our journey might just be part of the cosmos striving toward something greater.

We’re the eight billion different identities of a soul with a disassociated identity disorder, and that’s not to mention the animal kingdom. That’s why we can feel each other being observed. How else could we pinpoint the exact location of another person observing us from within an extremely large crowd?
The ability to sense being observed can be scientifically explained through factors such as heightened sensitivity to movement or eye contact within peripheral vision. Psychologically, this may be an evolutionary mechanism that helps humans detect danger or attention from others. This sensation is not necessarily connected to collective consciousness but rather reflects the complexity of how the human brain processes information from the environment.
@ that’s not really true. It happens even when we have our backs turned. Theres a sixth sense we’re not totally in tune with. There’s been studies done on this. If I find a link, I’ll post it below. It’s pretty interesting.
@@08SB80 While the feeling of being watched is common, current scientific evidence does not conclusively support the existence of a "sixth sense" responsible for this perception. Instead, it is likely a combination of psychological and sensory factors that contribute to this experience.
Research by biologist Rupert Sheldrake has explored this phenomenon extensively. In his book The Sense of Being Stared At, Sheldrake discusses experiments suggesting that individuals can detect when they are being observed from behind. You're absolutely right-our brains don’t have black holes or supernovas. But the analogy between the universe and the brain isn’t about literal similarities; it’s about structural and functional parallels. Both the cosmic web and neural networks exhibit intricate connections, information flow, and patterns that suggest shared principles of complexity. Black holes and supernovas represent phenomena that shape the universe, just as neurons and synapses shape our thoughts. Analytic idealism is a fascinating perspective! It aligns with the idea that consciousness is fundamental to reality. While my video explores the possibility of a conscious universe from a cosmic and structural standpoint, it's intriguing to consider how these ideas intersect with philosophical frameworks like idealism. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for your comment! Theoretical physics often involves exploring possibilities ('if' and 'perhaps') to build bridges between known facts and unknown phenomena. While it might sometimes feel abstract, these ideas are tested and refined through evidence over time. The journey from speculation to understanding has led to many groundbreaking discoveries in science!
... and in Multiverse ?
TY
The concept of the Multiverse is fascinating and opens up incredible possibilities. While we don't have direct evidence of its existence yet, various theories in physics, such as string theory and quantum mechanics, suggest its potential. If the Multiverse exists, each universe could have its own unique physical laws, and the idea of consciousness on a cosmic scale might take on entirely new dimensions. It’s an exciting topic, and there's so much more to explore!
@@explorationnewreaches
Yes ...
The mater in the whole known universe is about 5% ... the rest of 95% is speculation.
We're just at the time where we start figure out what this 5% is and how it works, and it is a lot.
Imagine the rest of 95% ... it opens a realy insane new level.
TY
Imagine a black hole in xyz coordinates, as a spot where those coordinates meet and flip on negative values, creating a new "inverted" space inside. That space then keeps on infinitely "expanding" while the black hole grows in mass. Considering how black holes are formed, the view inside that space right after it is born, would be a violent outburst of energy from star explosion appearing seemingly out of nowhere and filling everything in existence, and the space would grow with insanely rapid pace. Such event wouldn't be far from how Big Bang is described, our Universe may be a black hole aswell. This would make multiverses exist inside each other, not really being separate.
@sammy4538
The holy "never ending story" ...
In this univers there are a lot of black holes.
On one side every black hole "eat" all matter, on the other side it burst out the matter and give birth to another holy universe that also has black holes who "eat" theyr universe and burts on the other side another universe ... and so on and so on.
When in this universe there is only one "super black hole" left, it will "eat" all the left matter and "die".
In the grand scene ... our universe will "die" and will be "dark" while no matter left.
But ... matter is only about 5% of the known universe, the rest 95% is ... who knows ?
TY
Think fractals... patterns infinitely repeated from quanta to... The Universe... and beyond... in both size perceptions...
Could this self-replicating nature of fractals hint at a kind of 'awareness' or systemic intelligence within the universe?

I think earth is sentient.
An intriguing thought! Some theories, like the Gaia hypothesis, suggest Earth acts like a self-regulating system, maintaining conditions for life-a form of "collective sentience" through interconnected ecosystems. While not conscious in the way we are, it raises the question: could Earth's intricate balance hint at a deeper form of awareness? What makes you think Earth might be sentient?
You speak of "the vast distances there is no vast distances. The entire physical aspect of the multiverse, the space and distances involved are all an illusion or easier explained as a dream state.
None of it is real.
Max Planck said that he regarded consciousness as fundamental and regarded matter as a derivative of consciousness.
The universe is not separate from us, only One Thing exists and we are both the observers and the participants, ONE.
We are participants, it's a participatory multiverse.
Biology has a multidimensional component and is connected to consciousness.
This is how homeopathy works. It carries a signal to the multidimensional portions of your body, your DNA and Blood.
❤
Thank you for sharing such an intriguing perspective! The idea that the physical universe might be an illusion or dream-like resonates with certain philosophical and metaphysical schools of thought, as well as interpretations of quantum mechanics. Max Planck’s view of consciousness as fundamental is indeed a profound concept, suggesting that reality might emerge from something deeper than matter.
The participatory multiverse idea highlights the interconnectedness of observation and reality, aligning with quantum theory's implications about the observer's role. The multidimensional component of biology you mentioned is fascinating, especially when linked to consciousness and alternative medicine like homeopathy-though that remains a debated topic within science.
Your thoughts add a compelling layer to the conversation about the nature of existence and our place in it. Thank you for contributing!
How do you know that nothing can travel faster than light?? GUESS YOU NEVER HEARD OF A QURK !!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The speed of light as the ultimate limit is based on Einstein's theory of relativity, which has been tested extensively. Quarks, as fundamental particles, don't travel faster than light-they follow the same physical laws. However, phenomena like quantum entanglement can seem instantaneous, but they don't actually transmit information faster than light.
The bible does say God created us in his image. This whole theory has always made me believe more.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It’s fascinating how scientific theories and spiritual beliefs can sometimes align, encouraging us to explore the mysteries of existence with both faith and curiosity.
The good'ole "if a tree falls in forest and no-one's there to hear, does it make a sound" with a twist: Can anything really exist, if something doesn't recognize it being there? Not sure if same as Universe being alive, bit hard to describe what mean... but let's imagine another universe, but this one has no life in it, no conciousness at all - could such even exist? Feels a bit odd if something like that was just hanging around, nothing but stars and rocks in it... there just has to be conciousness in some form, otherwise it's pointless to exist.
That's an interesting twist on the classic question! Your idea raises the profound connection between existence and consciousness. If a universe existed entirely without consciousness-just stars and rocks-could it be considered "real" in any meaningful way? Philosophically, some might argue that existence requires recognition to have significance. Without consciousness, such a universe might seem like an unobserved painting, beautiful but unseen.
Yet, science suggests that a lifeless universe could exist, following the laws of physics, even if no one is there to witness it. Still, as you pointed out, consciousness seems to give existence purpose or meaning-perhaps it's not just a byproduct of the universe but an essential feature of it.
Do you think consciousness could be a universal inevitability, arising naturally from existence itself, as if the universe "wants" to know itself? Or do you feel it’s an accident, a rare anomaly in the vastness of space?
@@explorationnewreaches I strongly believe conciousness is a necessity for existence in overall. Some form of "thought" there just has to be of literally everything, laws of physics for example - if space is emptied of everything we know of, and then toss a coin in there, laws of physics would still apply on it - but what exactly keeps them up, and make them affect on it? Without some "universal knowledge" in effect, how would that coin "know" how to behave, actually making it do so?
Science has seen some hints in quantum physics of conciousness itself having atleast some effect on particle behaviour. This "double slit experiment" is interesting one, results suggest particles behave as some type of waves instead of physical matter, until applying some concious method to see what exactly happens there. This changes the test result itself, particles then starting to behave as physical matter "should" behave, according to laws of physics. This is faintly on the same area as the concept of Schrödinger's cat, just less toxic angle to approach it - but basic idea is the same, something needs to "know" how things are, is equally required as the obervable physical realm itself, they go hand-in-hand.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-slit_experiment offers a very detailed dive into it - but is bit of a handful to start from the beginning of it... with all respect, I suggest starting from scratching the surface first, for starters the section "Standard quantum physics" maybe gives more of a overview about this phenomenom.
Philosophically the list of questions is endless, will always be... but historically this is no new question, might even be the origin for religions - after the inevitable conclusion of something making the rules and controlling everything. During time, this has - well, let's use "developed" to various directions and forms... but nevertheless this is the assumption pretty much every culture has ended up with, all around the globe - and cannot blame them, makes sense. I don't see the need for any self-aware entity or personality being involved, but I do think some sort of universal "acknowledgement" is needed, to keep things rolling as they do.
Atleast something has to exist, and everything follow atleast some sort of "rules". Something "decides" what exists and how everything works - and this same something is able to apply this for everything aswell. If everything follow certain rules, what makes them do so? Whatever the right answer is in it's whole, I call conciousness. But any further guesses of what exactly is going on, are exactly that - guesses, atleast from my part. But some type of conciousness I think is definitely needed, right from the first moment - if not even before, but here it starts to approach chicken or the egg.
If turn the table - if conciousness isn't needed, why does it exists at all? If it had no meaning, I doubt something that huge of a thing - which it is - would just "pop up" randomly somewhere, several billions of years after physical realm is estimated to be born... and amongst some seemingly random-appeared creatures on the surface of a big rock somewhere in space. This being where conciousness originates from, I would say is the option that doesn't make sense.
We don't know what conciousness is or even really define it. We're able to think, so it definitely exists - but there's no way we can detect nor measure it, not in it's bare self. So far we have detected conciusness only amongst living creatures, based on observing their behavior... but if there would be conciousness attached on a rock or water for example, or just present in the same room without being attached on anything physical at all, we simply wouldn't know.
Why just a mere “rudimentary” form of consciousness?
WHEN GOD'S BRAIN WAKES UP WE SLEEP AT NIGHT, AND THE OTHER HALF THE POPULATION OF EARTH GOES TO WORK DURING THE DAY.
I doubt ,We are inside a Brain of any unimaginable thing which is alive .....😊
The idea that the universe could resemble a brain or be part of a larger living entity is a fascinating thought experiment, but it’s more philosophical than scientific at this point. Analogies between neural networks and the universe's structure have been drawn, but they’re just that-analogies, not evidence. While such ideas stretch our imagination, science focuses on understanding the physical laws that govern our universe. Thanks for sharing this imaginative perspective-it’s these kinds of thoughts that inspire both science and philosophy!
is it possible that we are a quark in a gaints brain and the universe is expanding becauce the giant is going threw puberty?
What is the speed of thought.
The speed of thought isn't easily quantified like the speed of light because it depends on the brain's biological and electrical processes, which vary greatly. Thought involves electrochemical signals traveling along neurons and across synapses, with signal speeds ranging from 1 to 120 meters per second. However, the complexity of cognitive processing makes "thought speed" more abstract, differing from measurable physical speeds. Instead, it reflects the intricate, layered nature of our neural networks.

Humanity at my image, this is not a joke. That is why your so special to me. IT is not the best reason to loving you like this, your My true familly caring My true irons base blood, so RED Bloods. As long you can give your blood to someone and he live, you sure je or she is part of are familly human familly. A universal brain ? Oh, let's not get carried away. If it is so, then it ain't a very smart one, because if human planetary going's-on is anything to go by, the universe should have saved itself a lot of trouble by not inventing us ! Is the universe a living entity ? It all depends : befor six beers and a whisky, maybe, who knows. After six beers and a whisky : it's anyone's guess !
Your comment gave me a good laugh-thank you for that! 😊 The idea of a 'universal brain' is definitely more philosophical than scientific, and you're right, if the universe had a say, it might have thought twice about some of our antics! Whether the universe is a living entity or not is one of those big, unanswerable questions for now-but it sounds like the whisky approach to pondering it could make for a fun discussion either way!

I think us "moderns" should face the fact that we can't see and know everything in the universe : without a mirror most of us can't even see our own backsides, let alone our neurones ! I see you are an optimist. Me too. After a few whiskies, even more so ! One thing's for sure though : the universe is made up of electrons, protons, neutrons and last but not least : morons !

1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Self awareness is “I am.” The next question is “I am what?”
Universal Brain - Is the Universe a Living Entity?
~~~ No!
'Life' and 'death' are dualistic, mortal, temporal illusions!
1) All that exists is One Consciousness/Mind ('God' if you like...).
Beyond this not anything else exists.
2) We are all unique momentary Perspectives (Souls) comprising the One Consciousness.
3) That which we, collectively, 'perceive/reflect' (are Conscious of) is Mind/Memory/concepts (the little bit before us at the moment).
"God cannot know himself but by me!" - Meister Eckhart
The universe is not alive but it is pure conscienceless and aware of itself. That entity us God. Like it or not. It is true. I doubt that science will ever be able to "prove" spirit, but those who know don't need proof, they just know😊
Your perspective is intriguing, and I respect your belief in a spiritual interpretation of the universe. However, I think the discussion about whether the universe is "alive" or "conscious" doesn’t necessarily have to conflict with scientific exploration. While science may not currently be equipped to prove or disprove spiritual concepts, it provides a valuable framework for understanding our reality. Perhaps the intersection of science and philosophy could bring us closer to comprehending such profound ideas. After all, questioning and exploring are part of the journey to understanding, aren't they?
@@explorationnewreachesi believe they are trying to explain it this way: we have religion such as one with a God. But why so many religions and different God's. Why not inclusive of all. Also science has many theories, thought, equations, discoveries, proofs, etc. What if all science and religions and philosophies and thoughts originated from the same place or entity as you explain here as a conscience universe. This then could be what our idea of God is more closely relative to rather than many different religions but something larger that encompasses all. Since we don't know what it is called or its name, we have given it many and our best interpretations. Thinking each one is different but in actuality just all bits of the same secret of all life.
I think you are saying what I have always felt like I knew. We are a part of the universe and we are God. God is not a deity but is a connection of a collective living universe. That life source is a connection whatever it is? A human or a mammal etc even a blade of grass.
Matter basically doesn't matter exist. 99.9999999999996 of an atom is empty space and 90% of an atoms weight come from the motion of gluons which themselves are nearly massless
You’re absolutely right in pointing out the paradoxical nature of matter! Atoms, which make up everything in the universe, are overwhelmingly composed of empty space. The nucleus, which contains most of the mass, is tiny in comparison to the atom's overall size. The weight of an atom largely comes from the energy and motion of subatomic particles, particularly quarks and gluons within protons and neutrons. Gluons, although nearly massless, carry the strong force that holds the nucleus together, contributing to the atom's mass through energy. This quantum reality challenges our everyday perception of "solid" matter and shows just how much of the universe is based on energy and empty space rather than tangible substance.
We are insignificant
While we may seem insignificant in the vastness of the universe, our ability to explore, wonder, and understand gives us a unique significance. It's our curiosity that connects us to the cosmos!
This is bordering on astrology.
The comparison of the universe to a brain isn't meant to be taken literally but as a metaphor to help us explore complex patterns in nature, like how neural networks and cosmic structures share striking similarities.
Your questions about the universe's eternal existence and the concept of infinity are fundamental and challenge even the greatest minds.
