I also can’t get it to work consistently to justify the cost and this is coming from a loyal dyson customer with several dyson products in my home. I want to return mine after my curls fall out after 5 minutes without even touching them! I’ve tried so many styling products with it too. It’s a shame because I wanted to love this. Thank you for honest review
Thanks for the honest review. I've debated on getting it, watched a ton of reviews and honestly it just seems more trouble then it's worth especially at that price.
if you don't care about heat damage, you probably wanna continue using your straightener/curler. I have normal/thin hair, curly. It takes me only 10 minutes to get a lovely and bouncy blow-dry like I would get in a salon, or even better, without frying my prone-to-breakage hair. Worth every cent!
Thanks for the tips! I have been using my curling iron for 40 years and except for the perm years, I managed to avoid any heat damage 🙂. You're lucky it only takes you only 10 minutes, it was 45 for me, I have a lot of hair!!
A huge misconception is that sectioning your hair will take longer. I’m here to tell anyone who’s about to purchase the Airwrap, section your hair. It takes me 13 minutes to curl my hair when I section, but if I don’t section, it takes way longer and I never end up liking the results. Again, sectioning makes it go WAY faster. :) And the fact that it never goes past 320 degrees is a huge bonus and a hair saver, especially for people with fine hair.
Absolutely agree, I just returned my Dyson my curls never lasted I use heat protector with my new mint curling iron. My curls last 3 days! You need to try the mint product it turns off and the best hair product I have ever purchased.
I appreciate your honesty. I see other youtubers use it but I never notice a difference in their hair unless they point it out. I bought a $4.99 curler from the thrift store, disinfected it & now I love it. I am happy that you are here !
I'm returning mine tomorrow. My hair is think and long, and this tool just didn't work for me. Disappointed, but I'm glad I tried it. I've wanted it for two years!
I agree with you that this tool takes a lot of time to curl my hair, but it just lasted for 5min. At first I was like, okay, maybe I wasn't get used to using it, let's try again. Then, after the second try (about almost 1hr) it was still the same. And the third time, I knew that this was not for me. I returned it for something cheaper and faster.
Me too I have dry and thick hair. Was contemplating whether to get the dyson hair dryer or the airwrap but after watching your video I finally concluded I shouldn’t get the airwrap. Thick hair like ours takes really long time to just dry our hair so getting it done with airwrap sure takes a longer time and using my curler/straightener to do my curls are so much quicker and easier. Getting a hair dryer for a fast dry might be better than getting the airwrap. I don’t think I will style my hair every single day but I will definitely dry my hair everyday. Your honest review definitely woke me up from all the charmings.
I’m old school. And cheap. LOL. And can’t spend more than 15 min on my hair. Round brush, Velcro rollers, and big fat curling iron. Thank you for the follow up and for saving us time and $$$. BTW….SO SO close to 100k! Any minute now!! So exciting and happy for you! 🥂🍾🥂
I like how you mentioned the difference in how long it took you to do your hair with the Dyson vs. other heat tools. I have noticed the same with mine. I have long, textured thick wavy hair (Mixed Hispanic and Caucasian). I'm not lying when I say it takes me about an hour and a half to complete my hair. I even find myself having to go back over it to redo curls. Sadly it is just not time efficient. I have even implemented styling products to aid in holding the circles; I thought it would help, but it didn't make much of a difference. Maybe it's not meant for my hair type. Great video!
Bought both Dyson long version and the Shark. After comparing the two I ultimately decided to return both. Wayyy too much time involved for thick head of hair. Dyson gentler on your locks due to less heat than Shark but curls not as shiny and defined. I'm back to gentle use of basic curling iron to get the curls controlled just where I want em on my "dress up" days.😂
I agree...I'm about to return mine. The revlon volumizer and a remington iron give me way better results that last waaay longer and are way faster to achieve.
You are totally right. It was so tired to me. My neck and arm hurts because many times brushing. Definitely I didn't like it. I was sweating. I have tell you I have air conditioner in my room. I think I need Dyson iron hair not the airwrap. 🙄
Hi Lisa, I really like my T3 hair dryer that I bought at a Nordstrom sale. I also really like the T3 Hot Rollers. I put my hair in a high pony tail on top of my head and put 4 hot rollers in. It looks like a bun on top of my head. I leave it in my hair while I am getting ready for the day (maybe 15 to 30 minutes). I take it down, run my Mason Pearson brush through it and I am done. Thanks so much for the review of the Dyson. Have a lovely day! xo, Karen
Thank you for the honest review. I have the Dyson hair dryer. It was about $350. At first I thought it was really great. After a year I really don't see any difference when I dry my hair as in the shine it's supposed to give. Can't believe I bought a hair dryer for that much!
I think Dyson hair products are perfect for damaged bleached hair. My Sister has hair dryer and she would agree with you. But I am bleached blonde and Dyson saved my hair. For healty hair it doesn't look like a game changer as it is for damaged hair.
Thank you for your review! I borrowed my girlfriends airwrap to try, and decided that, for similar reasons, it wasn’t for me. I think only 1 day out of the several times I tried it, did I love my hair. It was way too time consuming, and I couldn’t justify the cost either. I have since purchased a few L’ange products (when they were on good discounts) and have been very pleased :).
I felt the same way as you - the original Dyson Airwrap did not smooth my hair while drying. I really didn't like it, but ended up keeping it because I liked all the attachments instead of using three different tools. I'm trying the brand new Airwrap (that comes in dark blue) after watching a few UA-cam influencers and because there is a smoother. I found that the original Airwrap curlers worked better if I used them while my hair was still damp. I don't want to damage my hair with curling irons. If that thing damages your counters, imagine what it's doing to your hair! This was a good, honest review. Thank you.
I own the same curling iron that you do and i really like it. Dyson is too expensive for me, when i can get the same results for way less. Great video, have a wonderful day!
I appreciate the honest review, Lisa. I would not like to spend the time or money on the Dyson dryer and don’t have the kind of hair that would appreciate the features. I have little patience when it takes too long to style my hair and need to do hair and makeup in half an hour total, unless a special occasion. I have a lot of individually fine hair strands that are wavy to curly and need high heat to work as fast as possible to smooth my hair to avoid inconsistent texture. I have the same Conair dryer and love it. Fast, efficient and I am one of those gals that dries my hair by turning my head upside side down until about 90% dry, then finish the remaining 10% while looking in the mirror. I don’t always hit it with a curling iron as the tamed natural wave leaves enough body to wear a messy bob effortlessly. I now use your Big Sexy Hair root pump and hair spray for added volume and hold. My hair is done in 10 minutes tops.
Bought for 20% off on Sephora with their card for another 4% off. Can’t wait ! My fine hair is just long enough for the long barrel. I’m just trying to take care of it. I save $200 every two months by coloring myself.
Hi first and foremost Lisa, just wondering did you style your hair with semi wet, towel dried hair? It won't actually hold if your hair is dry. Just looking by your video, it appears that your hair is dry when you started using the styling barrel attachment.
I have tried it every way but normally I will dry my hair until it’s almost dry, knowing that my hair dries exceptionally fast when I get it to that half drypoint. Regardless, I can start with a dripping wet hair, blow dry it, style it, and walk out the door in 10 minutes with a regular hair dryer and brush. In fact I think I’m going to put a video out on that this week, real time!
I agree with what you said. It dries the hair but it’s not shiny or smooth. I’m considering returning it. The revlon does a better job but it does really burn the hair if you use it too often.
A year later, but Thank You for this thourough explanation of why Dyson airwrap was not for you! And also that you threw in the 5-1 review - I have been looking for that. 😊 This was all very helpful for me. I have never heard of the time aspect before. That is important to me - I’m an impatient type of person. 😅 I will stay put with the curling iron and the rest of the tools I already have. 😊
The Dyson Airwrap was a game changer for me. I have never gotten better results myself. My hair is dry, fine and thinning. I don’t wash it every day, so I am able to style it, then put it up twisted at night and wake up with beautiful hair for 2 or 3 days. For my particular hair type it has been amazing. I don’t need any of my other hundreds of dollars worth of tools.
I love mine too. Works beautifully with my hair type. I section (3 sections) and it takes under 15 mins to curl all my hair. But … it’s definitely NOT for every hair type, that’s for sure. ❤️
I have same hair, but i have just used my Dyson for the first time and to be honest my hair looks the same as before, maybe just a little lifted at roots. Haven’t used any product yet.
Thanks for you opinion. It’s not in my budget to spend that kind of money on one hair tool. But I always love hearing your thoughts. By the way I have learned so much about doing makeup from your videos. 🥰
Bought it and baaaaah, curls lasted like 5 min, no matter how much products I put in my hair. Also, can’t deal with the time that I took to get it done, 40 minutes is just crazy. I have thick and long hair, no bleach or dyed. Got it directly with Dyson, trying to get it return ASAP!
Omg everything you mentioned is the same way I feel! The revlon one step leaves my hair shiny the airwrap doesn't. I just purchased the airwrap I been trying to love it for the last two weeks but it just doesn't work for me.
My friend has three Dyson hair appliances. I’ve tried All three a few times and they are all a super expensive waste of money IMO ? None of them were particularly effective. None performed any better than much cheaper department store brands. I have a Dyson stick vacuum which I absolutly love.
I’m so sorry it didn’t work for you. I will say that the long barrels make a ton of difference, but it sounds like your routine is way faster without it. I don’t think the long barrels would have shaved that much time off of your routine.
I'll sell my one in two days. I wiahed i watched your review before i bought it. It was good but i didnt use it that much. The longer my hair got, the harder was it to use the dyson
I'm so old school that I still use hot rollers! I have long thick hair. I have tried curling irons and wands and I am useless. I have ordered on Amazon an air wrap tool that was around $50. I don't have it yet so who knows? I only wash my hair twice a week and use the rollers then. If it works, then why try to fix it? I have a back up set of rollers in case they quit manufacturing them!
I'm returning mine tomorrow. Took too much time and had to use too many hair products to get the curls to stay. Also found my hair had to be the perfect amount of dampness, so that was tricky. I also did not use most of the attahments which seemed a waste of money. I would not have minded spending the money if it wouold have worked better.
Agree! I’m visiting my daughter and have been using again as it’s the only “hair dryer” here, but I’m just using as a dryer, most of her attachments are packed away
I wish I watched your video before buying my airwrap. I was talked into buying the Dyson because my sisters all told me it was life changing. But I don’t even use it
Believe me, I’ve tried to take the time to “do it right“ but it just took too much time lol so it wasn’t for me💕. My daughter loves hers, I’m just much faster with my cheaper hair tools, Less than 15 minutes starting with wet hair from the shower to finish style
I can appreciate your honesty and you can ignore people telling you, you weren’t using it right. It’s about preference. Personally I love the air wrap, but your points were valid.
Thank you! I can read instructions 😄😄😄, but that whole process just takes way more time than I want to spend on my hair every morning. Again, especially because I do wash my hair every day and I don’t have time to style it like that every day. My old way takes less than 15 minutes😉. Appreciate your comment! 💕💕💕
I returned mine as well. My hair is fine and straight and the curls I got didn’t last no matter what I tried. I would spend an hour doing my hair with nothing to show for it.
Me too. Only JUST tried it yesterday, and as soon as I used their incredibly wide toothed comb, ALL the curls fell out, and it was just frizzy! Today, it looks even worse than normal!
I’m going to sell mine. My hair is still frizzy and takes forever to dry with it. I feel like it never gets all the way dry. It also tangles my hair. I wish it worked for me though.
I bought mine second hand…. It came the other day and I’m unsure if I like it or not and if I should sell it on. I’ve ordered some long barrels just incase it’s the barrels that aren’t working for me but if I still don’t like it I’m going to sell it with the barrels.
Thanks for this review. I couldn't wash my hair everyday as it would end up really dry and probably fly-away. I always wonder what these expensive tools are really like and your review certainly shows how much work is involved. I think I'm too used to being able to 'wash and go' 😂
Lisa, I really appreciate your honest opinion, regarding the Dyson Air Wrap. I'm exactly like you, when it comes to shine and time. Not to mention, I've had shoulder surgery and there is absolutely no way, I could separate my long hair in tiny sections all over and accomplish the look I want. Thank you for saving me some 💰💰💰💰💰. Love ya, Kimber H. (Your Austin, Texas Sister in Beauty)🤗😘🥰👄💞👄
I totally agree with what you said on not knowing if it will be a good or bad hair day. Same as what I experienced with my airwrap. 😢 most days I did not like the outcome or it if it did, it only lasted for a few hours.
Thanks so much for this review. I had seriously been planning to buy the Dyson Airwrap, I have thick hair and no way I would want to spend 40+ minutes on my hair on busy working-mom mornings. Instead I am looking at curling tongs, a lot easier to justify for the cost/benefits.
Exactly!! I think if you only style your hair once or twice a week it might be worth it but for someone that needs a quick routine it just didn’t work for me!
I use my hairdryer on the lowest setting and use Velcro rollers. I have healthy hair. No heat damage. Hair products matter as much or even more than the tool. Dyson won’t work as a curling iron especially if your hair is bone dry.
I have a lot of hair, just like you, and I just can’t see myself spending a lot of time figuring out how it works. I also see alot of mixed reviews... so it’s a pass for me too. BTW I want to thank you for the review on drunk elephant glycolic acid, it has lifted off some of my old melasma spots for sure! Thank you for introducing it to me!
Thank you for this honest review! I’ve been eyeing the Disen but the price tag 😬 keeps me from considering it seriously. However, I can’t use a curling iron. I’m really useless with my hair, and now that I’m having it professionally colored (going grey so it needs to be done) my hair has a lot more volume (yay!) but it’s kinda getting that stick straight straw look. My hair is naturally straight, but my usual air dry outside just isn’t giving me anything attractive. I don’t really know what to do 🤷♀️ So then I go back and look at the Dison air wrap but then the price…Le sigh.
@@LisaMonique it’s a coordination thing. I can’t get my hair wrapped around the barrel and hold the wand and clamp the clamp. I feel like I need a third arm. I’m just really bad at doing my hair in general.
I just got the supersonic dryer and then I’m like should I get the air wrap instead? I have really thick coarse hair and when you described styling in layers and small sections that’s how I have to do mine even with the strongest dryer you can use. I actually use the TYMO ring on my hair to smooth out the frizz so I think I’ll just stick with the supersonic. Thanks!
For me, the Dyson Airwrap works perfectly. Especially the attachment with the round brush. This gives me the result every day as if I came from the hairdresser. My husband even notices the difference since I got the Dyson. I notice that without sectioning your hair you try to curl it. You pick uneven and messy strands so it doesn't curl nicely. My tip is to curl equal strands layer by layer. Be a little more precise and then you will get the result you want! With a curling iron, you have to be sure your hair is dry beforehand. The Dyson dries and curls at the same time. After each time you have used heat, immediately turn on the cool shot. I know it's not for everyone but I really don't want to be without a Dyson anymore!
Returned my brand new DYson airwrap!!! Terrible, rather my babyliss curling iron and rolls why should I pay $600 if I have to use the rolls any to last?the long barrels just gave me waves not curls
Thank you! The Dyson might work for you, since you don't have as much hair and can probably do quicker! Though my daughter just said it does fall out quickly when she's in a humid environment (and she's moving to Nashville, we'll see how it does, lol).
I just did a hair video explaining why last week! Because it gets flat otherwise and it's not color treated, so I don't have to worry about striping color or drying out. And I hate the smell of scalp 😂.
I end up frying my hair and making it more rougg and frizzier every time i use curling iron, can you please show how to get shiny hair with curling iron
OK I thought I was the outlier here...I also bought one and returned it so this video makes me feel vindicated. Agree completely that it took longer to do my hair with it and it did not look as good as with either a straightening or curling iron, or a revlon hot brush. I do love my Dyson hair dryer though.
I brought a dyson airwrap but I don't like it but I want to return it back tomorrow but I'm not sure if they will have it back because its been open. Brought from argos.
How did you return it? It says if you have used it you can’t return it and my hair DOES NOT STAY no matter what products I use and I want to return it, it’s so expensive for what it does to my hair (personally) please let me know how you returned it I don’t want to waste almost £500! Thank you x
The curls never last in my hair, the round brush makes my hair frizzy!! And it still dries my hair out. It’s not worth the money that’s for sure!! Wish I brought mine back.
In Romania este 640 EURO . Dupa ce am facut efortul sa il cumpar, am constatat că nici pentru mine nu este bun. Sunt curioasa daca il pot returna dupa doar 2 zile, nu dupa 30 de zile. In Romania it is 640 EURO. After I made the effort to buy it, I realized that it is not good for me either.I am curious if I can return it after only 2 days, not after 30 days.
I have wanted a Dyson Airwrap for a long time, but of course with my shorter hair I've been told it just wouldn't work. I do love my Dyson hair dryer. Gotta use what works best for you. Great review Lisa! And congrats again on 100K!! You go girl! 💖
Sadly the Air Wrap didn't work for me either. I wanted to like it so bad but it didn't do much for my short fine hair. I'm thinking about the Supersonic hair dryer now...
As Hair Buddha would say "Sections. Sections. Sections!" Watching those clips was borderline painful, no wonder you hated it.. all the hair down at once, kinda jamming it in here there and anywhere will inevitably produce a mess. I guess it's not for everyone. It can be a learning curve and with the price being what it is you need to be committed I think.
Yes, I don’t have to sit there and do small sections and divide up my hair and spend 45 minutes on it with my regular routine. So I like to be quick and out the door!! Agree not for everyone! My daughter loves hers! But then she washes her hair every three days, I wash mine every day it’s just too much work for every day hair!
I think your hair looked stunning with the air wrap full of volume , less heat damage which means healthy looking ends . Even in the the camera setting dark room I could see the shine and bounce that your hair lacked with other products , they looked more weighted down maybe even a little too oily at times . I think it's really about prefrence and agree it does take a decent amount of time but it wasn't meant to be a short time tool simulating salon blow outs and curl little dab of product here and there for extra shine or nurtaint. Hair health is super important to any style. But doing it everyday does sound terribly exhausting but doing your hair everyday with heat would scare me to pieces unless it was something less damaging like the dyson guess it just depends on the person .
Yeah, I have been doing my hair every day with heat pretty much for 40 years and I always get compliments on how healthy and shiny my hair is, so I dont think its hurting anything. And I actually don't really use products on my hair, occasionally I use a mousse and/or hair spray. And I've actually found it takes longer for me to use a dry shampoo and try and style day old hair over washing, drying and styling fresh clean hair. But I don't color my hair so it's "virgin hair" and it handles it well.
One of the attractions of Dyson is that so many people say it doesn’t demage as much as other curling irons. Im so divided whether to get one or not. So many people sell used ones for cheaper and I know Dyson is good quality. So divided 🥺
First of all, your hair is supposed to be DAMP when you use it. It’s not made for dry hair. Secondly, you need to section. You can’t expect to just take random wads of hair and expect it to curl everything flawlessly. Maybe use it correctly first?
Airwrap did not to work for me either. It makes my thin hair puffy with lots of flyaways. I just got Dyson supersonic hairdryer with all of the attachments and their round hair brushes. I have managed to achieve far better results - styled, smooth hair with a supersonic hairdryer than with Airwrap or hot iron.
Telling you, tho I am ambidextrous I cannot use a hairbrush or any product with roundness and spiky tips, total tangle city. 500 bucks for a hair dryer?? Or whatever the Air Wrap is lol. I still have my old ConAir hair dryer for $12. But I dont even use it, I just let my hair air dry and in summer if it gets wildly hot I stand in front of the fan to dry it. Thx Lisa, much love to you and many blessings to you and yours! ~~Chanel
No I think it’s perfectly right. And my opinion doesn’t change. It still takes too long. But someone else that has longer hair might want to know they have to spend an additional $50/$60 on long barrels that are always sold out and might be less likely to waste their money if it’s not going to work and glad to know in advance. It’s ridiculous actually to pay $500 for a hairdryer and need an attachment to make it work...
Dyson is overprice hype. Same for the vacuums and the fans: they look like a new concept, they’re fun at first but after thinking about it, you can get an equivalent for much cheaper!
Dyson products are awesome!! Had my V8 vacuum for 4 years now an it’s still going strong… My wife also has the hairdryer for the last 2 years an loves it!
@@edjohn4590 Not hair related, but; what a sad world we live in that four years is considered an accomplishment for a vacuum. I’ve had my Filter Queen canister vacuum for twenty years!
You did a great job explaining why it didn’t work for you - so helpful!
Thanks so much! 🥰

Thank you for this review. I have SUPER thick hair so this lets me know that I would be working on my hair for an eternity with the Dyson.
I'm returning mine tomorrow. My hair is think and long, and this tool just didn't work for me. Disappointed, but I'm glad I tried it. I've wanted it for two years!
Of course now I want to try their new one with the long arm and you don’t have to switch barrels when you switch sides of hair…

That's me! I can get the shower, hair and makeup done in 30 minutes if I don't get distracted, lol.
Bought for 20% off on Sephora with their card for another 4% off. Can’t wait ! My fine hair is just long enough for the long barrel. I’m just trying to take care of it. I save $200 every two months by coloring myself.
Thanks for the honest review - I don't have much time for hair styling, so this was really helpful.
I felt the same. I bought it and, it seemed to hard to handle! And for the money I returned it too!
Risa Does Makeup has nice wig clip pieces. Ur 5 min hair-do is gorgeous. Kudos for ur honest non-popular review.Thank you!
Thanks for watching!! 💕
This was all very helpful for me. I have never heard of the time aspect before. That is important to me - I’m an impatient type of person. 😅
I will stay put with the curling iron and the rest of the tools I already have. 😊
I agree. My Solano hair dryer does just fine.
Thanks for sharing!!My daughter loves hers with the long barrel attachment. She also doesn't wash/style every day,
I love mine too.
Your hair is prettier using your curling iron. Definitely a good choice in taking the Dyson back.
Omg everything you mentioned is the same way I feel! The revlon one step leaves my hair shiny the airwrap doesn't. I just purchased the airwrap I been trying to love it for the last two weeks but it just doesn't work for me.
Thank you for saving me the money! Sounds like we can get the same results with less $$ tools!
Hopefully your Amazon air wrap tool is better than the $50 Walmart.com one, but if not Amazon usually has a good return policy!!!
But I don’t even use it
Thank you for saving my money lol. Since I have a newborn it takes time to do my hair.
I couldn’t live without my dyson. It does take a while to get used too. From your video insert it didn’t look like you were using it right 🤷🏻♀️
Believe me, I’ve tried to take the time to “do it right“ but it just took too much time lol so it wasn’t for me💕.
I’m here also contemplating returning my air wrap. I have really curly hair it takes me a while but I am not happy with some of the kinks.
I think I'm too used to being able to 'wash and go' 😂
I think this tool has become more of a status symbol - not that anyone even knows what kind of hair tools we have 😂
Exactly!!
Which is why you know when somebody has one - they feel the need to let you know then remind you periodically! 😂
I love having an Austin Sister in Beauty!!💕💕💕💕
I totally agree with what you said on not knowing if it will be a good or bad hair day. Same as what I experienced with my airwrap. 😢 most days I did not like the outcome or it if it did, it only lasted for a few hours.
I could never spend that much money. Thanks for the honest opinion. Also if you use a heat protector what kind do you use?
I tried a heat protector by Chi, but can’t say I’d recommend over something else, I usually don’t use anything.
@@LisaMonique thank you.
if you know how to use the Dyson you know if you don’t you don’t. Dyson is so worth it!
Yet I know more who have returned it than kept it! It just takes too long is general consensus 🤪
Doesn’t work for my hair 🤷🏻♀️ still frizzy and takes longer than a regular hair dryer
At that price it should *simplify* my life *and* make me dinner 😂
Both reviews are very good 👍🏻
I use my hairdryer on the lowest setting and use Velcro rollers.
Oh great! It's the best!
I don’t really know what to do 🤷♀️
So then I go back and look at the Dison air wrap but then the price…Le sigh.
My daughter is home and she still loves her Dyson! Why can't you use a curling iron? Just the technique?
@@LisaMonique it’s a coordination thing. I can’t get my hair wrapped around the barrel and hold the wand and clamp the clamp. I feel like I need a third arm. I’m just really bad at doing my hair in general.
There is a learning curve, but I really like it now.
Sometimes, things just don't work out. Thanks for sharing!
Returned my brand new DYson airwrap!!! Terrible, rather my babyliss curling iron and rolls why should I pay $600 if I have to use the rolls any to last?the long barrels just gave me waves not curls
You wash your hair everyday? Not surprised you took it back.
Yes, my daughter washes twice a week and loves her Dyson!
You are not like the majority of us I guess ☺️ the ones with thin fine hair 😖 You have gorgeous healthy thick hair ! 🤩
Thank you! The Dyson might work for you, since you don't have as much hair and can probably do quicker! Though my daughter just said it does fall out quickly when she's in a humid environment (and she's moving to Nashville, we'll see how it does, lol).
Thanks for sharing! So expensive!
Why do you wash your hair every day?
I just did a hair video explaining why last week! Because it gets flat otherwise and it's not color treated, so I don't have to worry about striping color or drying out. And I hate the smell of scalp 😂.
Thanks for this honest review! Saved me $600 lol ❤️subscribed!
I end up frying my hair and making it more rougg and frizzier every time i use curling iron, can you please show how to get shiny hair with curling iron
Yes, I’ll do a video..,though my hair is not chemically treated so it’s healthier than someone who colors hair
I could tell just by watching other people use it that it would be way more trouble than it’s worth for me.
I love mine. I can work quickly but I totally agree about the lack of good shine. Can’t beat hot rollers
hot rollers so very convenient
Mygoodness your hair in this vid looks glorious!
I sold my Dyson Air wrap -didn't work for me and I also use the Revlon 1 step
OK I thought I was the outlier here...I also bought one and returned it so this video makes me feel vindicated. Agree completely that it took longer to do my hair with it and it did not look as good as with either a straightening or curling iron, or a revlon hot brush. I do love my Dyson hair dryer though.
I have the same curling irons - work like champs.
umm.... with dyson you need to use the cooling setting longer - thats what hold the curls
I brought a dyson airwrap but I don't like it but I want to return it back tomorrow but I'm not sure if they will have it back because its been open. Brought from argos.
Im not sure of their return policy 😞
How did you return it? It says if you have used it you can’t return it and my hair DOES NOT STAY no matter what products I use and I want to return it, it’s so expensive for what it does to my hair (personally) please let me know how you returned it I don’t want to waste almost £500! Thank you x
I got mine from a UK store called John Lewis
I purchased at Sephora in the US and they accept returns.
Did you manage to return it in then end?
I’m not sure, it would depend on the return policy where you order it. I ordered at Sephora in the US and you can return.
I knew from the first launch it wouldn’t work for my hair. My hair doesn’t hold a curl very well.
I have wanted a Dyson Airwrap for a long time, but of course with my shorter hair I've been told it just wouldn't work. I do love my Dyson hair dryer. Gotta use what works best for you. Great review Lisa! And congrats again on 100K!! You go girl! 💖
Thanks Cathy!!! Very excited!
Sadly the Air Wrap didn't work for me either. I wanted to like it so bad but it didn't do much for my short fine hair. I'm thinking about the Supersonic hair dryer now...
It was so helpful thank you 🌹
100k party time!!!! 🥳 congrats 👏🏼
Yes! Thank you! 💕
Hello! a new subscriber from Italy!!
I returned mine, too. I just wasn't impressed, especially for the money.
As Hair Buddha would say "Sections. Sections. Sections!"
Watching those clips was borderline painful, no wonder you hated it.. all the hair down at once, kinda jamming it in here there and anywhere will inevitably produce a mess.
So helpful!
Im returning mine for the same reason!!!
One of the attractions of Dyson is that so many people say it doesn’t demage as much as other curling irons.
Im so divided whether to get one or not. So many people sell used ones for cheaper and I know Dyson is good quality. So divided 🥺
If you dam get one for cheaper you may want to try…or just save your receipt!
First of all, your hair is supposed to be DAMP when you use it. It’s not made for dry hair. Secondly, you need to section. You can’t expect to just take random wads of hair and expect it to curl everything flawlessly. Maybe use it correctly first?
Nah, takes to long!
That’s good to know! 💕
Thanks for sharing your poor experience with the Dyson Air Wrap - I certainly won't be buying one!
Thanks a bunch. Too expensive for me. 🌺🕹🌺
~~Chanel
Maybe try your daughters long barrell one, probably not right to review something if you're not using the right tool.
@@LisaMonique Good thing your daughter likes it though lol
Dyson is overprice hype. Same for the vacuums and the fans: they look like a new concept, they’re fun at first but after thinking about it, you can get an equivalent for much cheaper!
Dyson products are awesome!! Had my V8 vacuum for 4 years now an it’s still going strong…
My wife also has the hairdryer for the last 2 years an loves it!
@@edjohn4590 Not hair related, but; what a sad world we live in that four years is considered an accomplishment for a vacuum. I’ve had my Filter Queen canister vacuum for twenty years!
