So Star can only have 2 rules active at one time, she has to physically touch it and call out it’s “name” in order to implement a rule on it, non living things depend on her perception of what it is, on living things the perception has to be mutual between Star and the person she’s using the rule on.
If Star made a rule on just shigAFOs limbs then she would still need to know his name since the limbs are attached to his body.
If she said “if shigaraki moves his arms or legs an inch from this spot, his heart would stop” it would still have the same out come.
From what I’m seeing she can have more than two rules, but she can only have rules active on two targets at max, so at the end the two targets is the air and laser, and there are two rules on laser, laser shall become one and laser can be held.
Why can't she just say "everything that I hit gets erased"? She doesn't even need Shigaraki's name, or she can just say "I am inmortal" but I guess they are just gonna waste her OP quirk for no reason
There's so many ways she could've already beaten Shigaraki with that quirk
@@Glummo_ from what Shigaraki said there’s an upper limit to her quirk, but there doesn’t seem to be a lower/weakening limit, hence why she can create a vacuum, but can’t make herself as strong as all might or strong enough to shatter his skull in one hit. And 2. She can’t create a rule that affects something else she’s not touching, hence why she doesn’t just say anything that touches the air a 100 meters away will die but she has to create a vacuum, or even has to specify a 100 meters away instead of saying the air around shigaraki
@@Glummo_her powers aren't as effective on a living person. She can only make a body do what a body can actually do, i.e have brain damage, internal bleeding, organ failure, heart attack etc. she can't make your arm turn into a blade or anything like that cuz it's not possible, so I don't think she can make herself invulnerable or turn someone into a chicken.

That's why I think when she imposed a rule on the air, she didn't exactly say around Shigaraki specifically. She said the distance.

Hello Rice and Ginger i am not sure you understood when she said when all might saved her. let me explain she was the girl in the first my hero academia movie called two heroes in the beginning of the film all might had a flash back on when he met his united states friend David Shield. in the flash back the robber was about run over a car in traffic that was stars and stripes family and her younger sister and young all might come to save that event was 20 years ago. go check it out the movie to get what i mean. That little girl become inspired by all might and become stars and stripes i love how she calls all might "master" the amount of respect she has for him shows in this episode. who would have thought that little girl in the my hero academia first film was her that is crazy. soo beautiful ❤
I'm 11:50 minutes into the video, and I can already tell the weakness of this Miss America hero. She touches something and can give that something new rules, but she has to "say" it out loud. So if you're fast enough, faster than she can speak something into existence, you just win. This is a super hero anime, so it's not out of the ordinary either - some heroes moving extremely fast. One second, two seconds, and you can finish this hero off. In the realm where some characters move faster than bullets (millisecond range), that's possible. So as strong as Miss America is, she's not unbeatable.

With the super strength and the air rules, I really doubt she ever needs to touch someone to apply a rule. Shigaraki is special case cause he has lots of quirks, regenration, decay and nomu strength.

They set a different animation tone for the American heroes which is so interesting but overall the animation has definitely improved it looks amazing 🤩🤩.
Nice reaction but i dont think it will aply to point a part of a body to control it. Because the limp is linked to consciousness. Futhermore an entity is made up of a body, we agree that whether it's an object or a living being there's a body except that here a human is a body and a consciousness and the consciousness is linked to the body if the consciousness isn't aligned with the Hero Star power, the body won't follow because the human body only follows the consciousness/brain
But she can just say "everything that I hit gets erased", they are just wasting her quirk

@@fianso870 That makes no sense, the entity is her, she just needs her own name since she is the object and the rule is being able to erase everything with her body, maybe there's other limitations but she doesn't need anyones name to put a rule on her own body, that's why she can make herself stronger, she didn't need Shigaraki's name to punch him with her superstrength, so why would she need his name to punch him with her modified body?

Or instead of erasing all the air around him why couldn't she just turn the air solid and crush him? Why can't she touch Shigaraki's shirt and say "the shirt turns solid and shrinks to the size of an ant"? Like I said they are just wasting her quirk, if she can't even use her quirk because Shigaraki has plot armor what's the point on making such an op quirk then?
16:37 brother... the limbs belong to Shigaraki, therefore she would still need to call his name to impart rules on his limbs. But he doesnt IDENTIFY as Tomura anymore therefore she doesnt know his name and can not impart any rules to HIM specifically
Shigaraki has super regeneration, so I think even if she applies a rule on his limbs, he can replace them with new ones

I haven't read the manga but I think the reason placing rules on his limbs might get tricky is because our brain controls our limbs. Not to mention she wouldn't be touching the muscle fibers, joints, or bones in the arm. If she could somehow touch his brain she maybe could place the rule of like him being in a coma or for it to just stop functioning. I think it's the specificity nature of the quirk thar would present an issue

Instead of removing the air and creating a vacuum, couldn't she have turned it into a black hole? That would have definitely killed him, right?

air and black hole are two different thing she cant transform an object Body identity she cant turn fire into rock or a fish into gold but here again there is a lot of thing that we dont know here power is really complicated

You can't just create a black hole out of nowhere, though. I'm not a specialist in astronomy, so I might be wrong, but in brief, black holes form when an enormous amount of mass is compressed into a small area. So if she touches the earth and says something like, "The earth will be compressed into the size of an ant in front of me." she might be able to kill Shigaraki and also every living being that lives on earth.

I wonder how in the end she was able to keep her Mighty air shape but also set a rule on the lasers. How was she able to keep her air form in shes only able to set one rule at a time ?
She can have 2 rules at the same time. Normally she always has super strength on herself, but since Shigaraki is so strong she is using both rules to pin him down
She used both rules, meaning in that moment she isn't as strong as All Might. Her shape is just her natural shape.
She "turned off" her super strength when she grabbed the lazers. You can see that she takes damage which doesnt happened previously when she hold the lazer the first time
It’s not that she can set only two rules, she can only have two rule targets. She set a rule on the air, and two rules on the laser, the laser becomes on, and the laser can be held. So she undid the rule of super strength on herself to do that.
I think she undid the rule on herself when she created the giant air version on herself, because she realized there’s no reason to get close. The rule on laser can be held was still in effect since she did not undo it, and then she added a new rule to laser

I gotta say, she has one of the most creative quirks similar to Momo's but like 10 tiers above Momo's it's such a flexible quirk and the more creative she can be with it, the better her chances. Can be used for defense, offense, probably even buying time to run away.
edit: 17:25 I think What Ron said could work, to my understanding her quirk relies on perception, hers and of the person, but perception prerequires consciousness whether that's having a brain or wherever that comes from, your limbs dont' have consciousness and can't have a perception, so in theory it should work, it should also work with trees? but I don't believe it can work with animals, since animals, whatever we identify them as don't perceive it the same way. You can't say Lion stop breathing or smth, weird to say but the Lion doesn't perceive itself as a Lion.

The problem however would be that Shigaraki can regenerate. So it has to be a vital organ like the heart or the brain. Maybe if she could directly touch the heart somehow that could work

@@chigozienwankwo9367 I disagree. From the information thats been given nowhere does it say that you need to say its shigaraki's. Itwas said that what matters is the perception. Whether its shigarakis or not shouldnt matter, as long as you can touch the object. This is a very specific limit of the quirk, and its probably set that way to allow for a lot of freedom.

not tryna be that guy but did she not have 2 rules active(3 including self rule unless she took it off randomly) at the end? she had the air harden to her size but she also grabbed the lasers and gave them a rule with the air stars and stripes still active. so that would've been 3 assuming she has a self rule.
That's what I was thinking. But Quirks can be trained so maybe she trained to use 2 normally but anymore causes burden/strain/harm to her? Like when a person who can normally lift a max of150lbs tries to lift 200lbs.
she had to disable the self rule for that, so she's at normal strength when she does that
