UPDATES:
- According to the UN, the State of Palestine isn't a country. Palestine is a UN observer state, meaning it can't vote or propose a resolution.
- Taiwan was originally considered a member of the United Nations, but because China doesn't believe it exists, it was kicked out in 1971. It was later kicked out of most intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) where China is a member because China doesn't think Taiwan exists as a country.
- There are two flags used by different factions of the Syrian Civil War. The flag used by the Ba'athist Syrian Arab Republic is the one seen here. The one used by the Interim Government (the main Syrian opposition) is a modified version of the original Syrian independence flag.
