Returning to the Moon would resume what was stopped half a century ago. Establishing an inhabited research station on the Moon could be useful preparation for visiting and possibly settling Mars where the conditions are almost as toxic but the journey is much further and communications are difficult.
"The Context" - with its wonderful host, groovy music, and riveting old photos and video footage - was an excellent and informative diversion while waiting for the boys to get back on "Planet America" 😍 Many thanks 💖
It was too difficult and dusty ,the Apollo missions were extremally lucky . And if they stayed a long time then returning to earth would kill them ..look at the iss returning astronauts .
It will be super boring and claustrophobic and living with many single point lethal failures will wear you down . then long term the low gravity will make returning to earth a near impossibility . Only a fantasist would think that fun !

Returning would be easy in 2022, we have a lot better resources now than Stanley Kubrick did
The next creature to land on the ' moon ' should be a ' cat '. I'm confident youtube would support this proposal.
returning to moon is easy part, returning back to earth is the tricky bit, so yeah ........

Sounds like a great idea!

The real question is why did we ever leave the moon.

Great show thanks team
love the new series but I miss chas
That comment on 'Backchat' was rich. Just what Chas might write in as well.
No, I agree with Buzz Aldrin in the David Frost interview. We've already been to the moon, let's look forward to Mars.
We never went numbskulls

What is there to mine that could be worth the energy budget and risk ?
@@sapien6230 that's been totally debunked by many sources .
This video is so outdated
Yes, all of them, and give other lifeforms a chance on earth.
