I agree with pretty much everything you said here. History has shown that sealed Pokemon is a solid investment in the long term. There is a lot of variation in terms of type of product, set, featured Pokemon, print availability, etc. There are so many factors to consider when choosing what product to invest in, so being a savvy collector pays off big time. Having a love of the hobby, patience, and self-restraint are a must as well. I'm glad I got back into collecting in 2017 when everything was on fire-sale. Got a boatload of Shining Legends stuff including an Ultra Premium Collection for 80-90% off. Some of that stuff is still sealed and has gone up by many orders of magnitude. The hardest part for me now is that I hate to sell anything because of how much I love actually having it in my collection.
I’d love to be in your shoes someday! But I hear ya, it is definitely hard to part with these items. Hopefully my house doesn’t wind up looking like a hoarder lives here 🤣
I always love the videos man keep this up 🔥 also have you had any issues with bad tracking updates and or lost packages while shipping through ebays standard envelope service? Ive recently had to refund a buyer for card that never arrived, and I just want to know how often this occurs for you and how to go about getting reimbursement for the lost package
I appreciate it! It happened to my four times in one week a few weeks back. Very frustrating, but 3 out of the 4 did wind up showing up. If you refund the buyer, it's up to them to decide whether or not to throw that money back to you if the card actually shows up. On the other hand, feedback is so important so receiving negative feedback for an antsy buyer isn't a great option either. It's a conundrum and I'm glad to say that it seems to only happen on maybe 2-3% of cards I send, so I'm more inclined to ask them to please wait 10 business days from shipment to make sure the card isn't actually going to arrive. I tell them that if it hasn't by then, I will fully refund them and just take it as the cost of doing business. Stinks but it isn't any better shipping with just stamps. I contemplated just doing larger lots so I could just ship first class but I haven't had any other issues since then so I am forging ahead with standard envelope for now.
@Sold By Ronnie thank you for the response! this helps ease some anxiousness I had about the couple of cards I'm having issues with at the moment, I really appreciate you Ronnie you're awesome never forget that 🤘I wish you nothing but the best in life and your business
An investment is an investment. Never feel bad for winning man. You put money in you deserve money out. I think the "what about the kids argument." is dated. Most tournament/deckbuilding cards are in every set. value comes from collector's and rotation.
I appreciate your perspective! I agree that argument is super dated. Enough space in the market for every kind of person that wants to enjoy this lovely hobby.
Hey I don't know if you're actually gonna see this comment But I figured I'd try anyways I'm trying to sell a very expensive card Pokemon Card Japanese - Dendra SAR 099/073 sv1a - Triplet Beat HOLO MINT I wanted to know how could I sell it. I've watched your How to sell cards on eBay Video But you said the shipping tracker is only good for Up to $20
Hi there! You can still sell it on eBay, it's just for any card above $19.99 in value, you'll need to use an alternative shipping method such as USPS first class or Priority. Typically, for cards valued $20-$100, I use first class and anything more expensive I go for Priority. Hope that helps!
@@soldbyronnie thinks for your response the card costs $700. im getting it graded but there are no cards like it graded so it will cost more I just don't know how much more
Great advice that works across other hobbies as well. Nice work Ronnie!
Thank you buddy! Certainly applies to our good friend LEGO as well ;)

I agree with the points brought up in this video
Awesome, thank you Jay!
Not a financial advice but you may also buy some UPC/ETBs sleeves. I see them going up in price as people will use them and then want more.
Great idea! People usually want to unload those in bulk as well so good deals can definitely be found.
Great video! We are from KC too!
Thank you and go Chiefs!
I'm thinking of selling Pokemon stuff so I'm gathering info wherever I can. Subbed
Awesome! It's an awesome hobby to get into. So many different ways you can go with it to have fun and make money along the way.
